  • how are the bronze pieces connected? a weld? how does a weld end up looking clean if so? Or is a tap system used?

  • @fiercekrypton the welders use bronze welding rod. When they weld two pieces together, they then, using high speed air dremels, they grind and blend the welded areas and then at the same texture on the bronze to make them disapear. They have to be really good at what they do.. believe me.

  • triple Wow! Had no idea how complicated it all is. How lucky for you that a competant foundry is near by or did you move to Ennis just to be close to that?

  • @yoda12439 I added annotations at the end that take you on a tour of the foundry, and a link to a video I did showing the bronze being poured .. forgot I could do that.. lol

  • Well, it didn't take you any time at all to recall that it is the Department of Sprue that should be abolished. :^) (I have "senior moments" too.)
