  • The tone is very close, however the feeling is not much the same. Maybe this is due to poor recording quality, but the guitar sound is lost in the high background sound. In order to convey the feeling, you need to play it in such a way that the audience feel you can hardly stand on your feet! In Andy Latimer's solos, each note counts! Anyway, I really enjoy this cover of a masterpiece.

  • I really appreciate that you took this song but...

playing this song isnt just playing same chords like Latimer.. this song is an ocean of feelings which i didnt found there.. You play it way too fast. Latimer is almost crying playing this song, your guitarist act too chaotic

Please dont take it personally and keep going;)

  • Bravo! This was seriously amazing! Congratulations guys.

  • @urik Thanks a bunch, Uri!

  • Yel3an Rabbkoun !

I did not like it :(

    Dont Mess with Camel

  • Does anybody have the full tablature of this song? I couldn't find it anywhere! also my ear sucks so i can't play it by ear!

  • Nice job an impossible band to beat but you ran a good race! Where are you based I have been Camel addict for 35 years (Albert Hall etc) and would like to see you preform.

  • Hullo Dave,

Thanks for your nice comments... :-)

When we're playing Camel, it's not about winning, anyway. It's all about enjoying the race!

We are based in the Netherlands.

No gigs lined up, at the moment, but we will inform you when we do.

    Greets from another Camel addict.

    For Watt's Next,

    Klaas

  • GREAT JOB!!!!! I am very impressed. I think the tone is almost exact, and that the beginning need a slight bit more sustain but Latimer is not an easy animal to tackle. Gilmour and Latimer are 2 players that are not 100% mocked by any guitarist. Great emotion, amazing song, my band is planning on writing a piece of music similar to get that emotional bluesy side out, and to pay our respects to the Gilmours and Latimers in the world, lol. Great work....

  • A good cver. Not the same feeling as Camel though, but that's impossible =)

  • Very well played.

Drummer, Bassist and Keyboard were great, guitar was good,

worst part was the flute, would have been better mic'd or (better) on a Keyboard.

the beggining of the distored guitar part is a tad too fast,

Not sure but the guitarist can't sustain some of the notes,

His tone is lost when he moves up for the bends on the B String,

(progressive slide from 8 to 15th on the B, then use the High E string @ 15th to bend)

I sware it's missing the other half of the Solo too?

  • Thanks, wj4m32, for your reply!

The was mic'd well enough (my clip-on-mike) but

the monitor mixer had the monitor so loud that the flutesignal got a very low feedback :-(

    Jos (the fluteplayer)

  • Aww unlucky!

it's cool though, and no problems I like giving feedback. :D

It's a tough one to emulate, I can hardly play the Guitar parts to the song in entirety.

I think as a group you did a good job in all honesty :)

  • It's not easy covering latimer :-) Not bad though!

  • what a beautiful song!!!!!!!!! one of the best progresive bands ever! the cover sounds nice, but the solo needs more feeling jaja well thats my point of view. great!

  • Very Good! Especially the Drummer!^^

  • great!

  • That is awsome, so close to the original. mind blowing

you have latimer off to a tee

  • VERY GOOD !

  • caramba...bem feito...
