But I would say that if you think the drummers I've listed don't have unreal single kick skills, then you haven't watched many of their videos. Most of those guys are amazing with double pedal, but they can make a single pedal also sound like a double kick. I would encourage you to look up those guys and really listen for the rudiments they use, most of the time better than chad, with their feet.
i´m not a very good drummer, but what i like about this guys like nicko mcbrain and chad smith, is the feets skill. i think is more dificult to do what nicko does than what jordison does. With a little trainning, like a year, you can do thats TRRRR with the double bass pedal like jordison.

For all of you who think Chad Smith is an amazing drummer, you have clearly never heard the likes of Tony Royster Jr., Chris Coleman, Thomas Pridgen, Gerald Heyward or anyone Studio Drummer who could destroy Chad Smith. He is an average drummer; you'd never see any of the guys i've mentioned drop a stick during a solo (Stick drop was at 2:44).
