  • hey dude,

could you please tell me how you did this I am making a video for someone and dont know how to do this

  • this is great! and HOW exactly did you do this with Premiere? I've been trying to get a program to work with this but it seemed like Premiere would only speed things up clip by clip... please let me know what the trick is! :)

  • Hi mcsteamy14,

I have described the process in detail in few of my comments below that I posted 3 years ago. Do let know know if you have more questions.

    Thanks,

    Anuj

  • That is cool. I didn't know you could do all of this with Elements 3.0. Great job.

  • u spent ALOT of time on it, the background, nice job

  • I liked this video

and hope to do something like it someday.

  • at 44 seconds howd u make that adobe box fly in... i use the same program but i dont know how to do that, tell me please

  • Hi Sum, that is simple. Place the box image in an overlay track and stretch it to increase its duration. Place CTI at start of the image in timeline (time 0) and edit its effects properties. Under Motion property set position to top left corner and scale to 0. Add key frames by clicking on Toggle Animation Button next to the 'Motion' property. Then move CTI to end of the image clip on timeline (time t) and in the effects window click on the 2 Add Keyframe buttons next to position and scale

  • Now set scale to 100 and position to center of frame (can also drag image in monitor to change position). Now when u play video the image scale and position change gradually between the two values u set from time 0 to time t.

  • lol

  • nice job man !

  • Awesome animation. Huge FPS and so on. Really nice.

  • If you want to make stop motions for free, use logitec image studio.

  • Hi aceofspadez12, digital picture cameras usually do not allow you to capture pictures at the same time they are connected to the computer. So you cannot perform stop motion the way you can do with premiere elements and a video camera. Though with a still camera, you can take a large number of pictures and club them together to form a video in Premiere Elements. But, the process is much easier if you use a video camera and do live capture of frames in Premiere Elements with "Onion Skinning" .

  • Thanks playmobilehero, that is a great suggestion. Actually Premiere Elements allows me to add multiple audio tracks and also record the narration. But I preferred using text over audio. This was mainly because this was supposed to be short duration movie (less than a minute) and didnt have enough time for spoken dialogs. For speech I'd need to capture that many more stop motion frames showing the person speaking and also mouth sync would be really tough. So text was used just to make life easy.

  • this sure takes a long time XD

  • that was cool, so u video tape it then move the clay ,...or wait i get the stop motion thing but when you tape the clay how do u do it? i have adobe premere elements 3.0 too

  • You need to connect a camcorder through firewire. Then open Premiere Elements 3.0 and launch capture by pressing F5. in the capture window, there is a button on top that says Stop Motion. When u click on it you can then set your clay models on stage and a capture frames. move the model and capture another frame.

  • thank you that was a big help i have already started on one!!!um...1 more question though, how do u get the speech bubbles on the figures?

    thank you.

  • Speech bubbles can be made in any image editing program. I used Photoshop Elements. Should create .png that has a transparent background. Then I imported the empty bubble image in PRE and added text over it.

  • Cool

  • well done

  • i have adobe premiere elements too but I don't know how you did the sppech bubbles! how did you do it?

  • For bubbles I used Images. You can create those images in any program like Photoshop. Should make PNGs that have a transparent background.

  • Hey holy, I had the same problem. I emailed the company who made my motherboard and they emailed me the link to download the patch.

  • hey i bought adobe premiere elements 3.0 but it always says i need a CPU that can back up SSE2 any help would really be appreciated.

  • Nice vid and thanks for all of the info. It's just too damn bad I can't get a live feed from my crappy point-and-shoot digital camera on my computer, even though I can on my TV. Argh!

  • Thanks! Actually thats a problem with still camera. For stop Motion, I used a video camera. Best is to use a video camera that has manual focus, because with Auto focus some of the frames get out of focus when doing stop motion.

  • hahahahahaha nicely done I love when the guy gets stabbed

  • I thought it was really good!

  • Hey ! DO you need a program to create this ''claymotion'' animation or you can simply do it with adobe element 3.0 ??? Do you need something like photoshop ot ??

  • xconneriex, you need photoshop only if you also want to edit and add images to your animation or you could edit each individual frame. I used Photoshop Elements, that has all features of photoshop that I could ever use, and is much cheaper.

  • yes, i just checked again and on the review it doesnt have green screen in the little check off box. so it seriously can do that? i was going to buy a new editing program, but i wanted to make sure it had greenscreen.

  • premiere elements 3.0 has green screen keying. Under effects search for "key" and you will find it

  • Doy you know how to work the green screen? I have it but i cant use it?

  • I Found out!! yay!!!

  • i looked up online and it says adobe premiere elements 3 doesnt have greenscreen....im guessing it does though.ha

  • wow, its great to watch an artist at work! lol great job man, i'm gunna try it out with my program now

  • cool as *uc*

  • how do you save a video on adobe premier elememts 3.0, without having the annoying logo in the top right hand corner (as you can see im a total amautur) :D

  • Most excellent work! I just ordered Premiere Elements 3.0 before watching this. I'm already glad I did, Thanks!!!

  • i) uncheck preview to continue grabbing more frames from the last frame grabbed.

    j) New need to grab 12 frames for 1 second of video.

Do let me know if you have more questions and also share the animation that you create!

  • whoa,whoa,whoa...

15 frames per second (fps) is better for smoothness...

you can see the pauses in 12 fps

15 fps is the default for most stop motion pragroms

  • g) Keep repeating this until you have grabed all frames for your scene. At any time in between, you can preview your work by checking the "preview" option.

    h) When Preview is on, you can play the frames that you grabbed till now and also delete faulty frames by ckicking the delete button.

  • e) The move your model little bit. You will notice that you view the camera as a transparent overlay over the first frame that you took. This is to help you place your model in the right position for the next frame. (This can be disabled/enabled using the "Onion Skinning checkbox in the lower right").

    f) After the model is repositioned, click on "Grab Frame" to get the next frame.

  • 2) Using Premiere Elements

    a) launch Capture window (In Get Media in left side panel select "DV Camcorder, HDV Camcorder, WebCam") or use keyboard shortcut "F5"

    b) In the capture window select "Stop Motion" on Top and click on "Create New Stop Motion".

    c) Position your camera so that you can see your model in the capture window in its initial position.

    d) In capture window, click on "Grab Frame". This will capture your first frame of the video.

  • hi Krieger352, heres a brief tutorial on making such videos using premiere elements:

    1) Initial Setup

    a) Create a set and get some models for your story. We created clay models of our own but you could even use toys.

    b) For better results put appropriate lighting over your set.

    c) place your camcorder/web cam in front of the set. It is better to use a tripod to ensure the camera does not move.

    d) Connect camera to computer and launch premiere elements.

  • hey do you mean connect your camera as in USB cable connect?

  • idk how u do that with premiere elements 3.0 cuz i have that and idk how to do anything like that

  • it took about 3 full days.

  • So how much actual time was involved in making this one minute video ???

    Elaine

  • Thanks! Also please rate this video..

  • really cool!

  • this is cool!
