Am I the only person that thinks animatronics are lame and very unscary? They don't look or move realistically, and they can't react. It is an impressive show of cool stuff, but if you want to actually scare people get rid of the animatronics and let your actors take over.

The interesting thing about haunted houses is you need to be careful about overdoing the props. I mean suspense is a great asset to a haunted house and makes it more satisfying for the audience. And most people don't intentionally add a scent ellement, for fear someone will react badly.

But if it works it works, and the only real way to find out is to test it.

well the monsters claws are like really sharp and you have to walk under it.. with the arms moving its can hit you or scratch you and that fucking hurts.They can actually cut you open! but ye fainting can also happen actually to squeemish people, but hey! there not even suposed to be in there anyway :)

no, actually, that's not true. real actors can actually ruin the entire experience if they're not trained. animatronics are more impressive and can do so many more things than actors can. they also look scarier and have a strange unnatural movement that is subtle and creepy.
