If they shared more body panels then everyone would cry out REBADGE!!!! But having different exteriors give each their own character. I just saw the Terrain at a Portland Dealership. The styling is strong, dynamic and consistently executed. The quality of the body panel fit and finish is beautiful . The car is much nicer than the Honda Crv I have. It is great to see GM finally getting some things right. Long time coming though. Would love to

own. Cars.com should consider replacing Kelsey Mays with someone more seasoned, knowledgable and design savy. Great job GM.

Really I believe that they were trying to go for a more male orientated look. The crossover look is femine usually and driven by woman. I think that this would appeal to a guy because of the styling ques and more agressive and old fashioned suv/truck look to it.

yea when i first saw this i thought this was actually a replacement/alternative to an Envoy/Trailblazer. I actually really like the looks and interior. much better than an equinox. it looks like they were going for style and looks over functionality and main stream looks which can be really risky. i love it when car companies do it because they usually create something amazing

Styling and more standard options are the reason to buy this SUV over the Equinox. I prefer to think of this as a mans car, with the bulged muscular fenders and the chrome accents and wheels. This dude is something else -Preferring the Inline4 over the V6? For what Fuel economy? buy a Prius if thats what your into. A big Car needs a powerful engine, not saying that the I4 is weak, but I prefer a humming V6 then a screaming Inline4 any day.

And about the car....well, I am not a great fan from GM cars, but since I am an objective car enthusiast, I have to accept that I like this GMC Terrain, It is way better good looking than the Equinox, I feel it more muscular in design, I dont see any lack of coherence in its design, and with these fuel consumption numbers, I must say GM seems to be really starting to make competitive cars. I hope they use really good quality materials and make the car to be reliable.

The Equinox is... well, a mom's car. The Terrain is too, but it looks more professional, and people complained that Chevrolets looked too much like GMCs and vice versa, now people want them to go back to that. Personally I have no problem with how they look; GMCs are always the more distinctive.

I'd not say it is a Moms car, It is just a Small SUV, actually I see as a car with young attitude, which is very good, not because it isnt bulky with a huge engine, that means it is not a masculine car. it looks good. I like the GMC Terrain style over the Equinox. 32mpg SUV NON HYBRID.. me and my wife are seriously looking at this vehicle considering it gets TWICE the gas mileage of her old Xterra. We both like the styling. We were first looking at the tahoe until we realized it got 16mpg... I hope these economic times continue to make domestic vehicles work harder for their market share and produce more efficient better thought out vehicles. That is so ugly in the front. Back end yeah I see the O4 toyota ( not a bad thing) . Looks bigger than it is like the Enclave but the Enclave is way better looking.
