  • jesus christ. get off his dick, that so happens to be black. everyone in america says the black man created american music; i dont think that statement is accruate; that's like saying blacks created music. whom invented music?? music is in your heart, not your skin. people say blacks invented the guitar; that's like saying blacks invented the instrument. people need to give credit where credit is due, not through reverse racism. and yeah, hendix is my fav. guitar play with srv.

  • Really enjoyed that, also liked Mitchell & Redding's contribution to the jam. Jimi was a perfectionist, so of course he would be a bit unhappy about his performance. I still thought it was awesome.

  • Never saw Jimi with SG

  • This is just awesome

  • nice

  • Poor Jimi, seems like it wasn't a very good night for him. I thought that the Gibson was his first choice for that song since that's what Clapton used. By the way, how do you know this, about his strat not staying in tune earlier in the show?

  • One of Jimi's less inspired performances. Wonder why he was using the Gibson SG? He was trying to get some good feedback from it by tapping the neck, but the guitar wasn't reacting the way his strat does. Even Jimi didn't seem that happy with the performance based on his expression.

  • @0209KMK58 He was using a Strat but halfway through the concert he changes to the SG because the Strat won't stay in tune.

  • Jimi-one of a kind -Hendrix and this is one of his best -I bow to the memory...classic+++++

  • DUDE

  • I was there!

  • amen!! if not for the black man, we wouldn't have had american music.. They we're the first.. they are legendary.. ofc, there's Robert Johnson, Son House, Skip James, to muddy, and howlin' wolf. without those guys, you wouldn't have had the british invasion that changed american music and influeneced american culture more than ever.. we would.t have had the Bealtes, John mayall, Led Zepplin, and I wasn't gonna forget Clapton!! he wont even talk to you if you don't know Robert Johnson..

  • @man0warII . Thank you. You left out Chuck Berry and Little Richard but it all bowls down to the same soul stew.

  • He covered this? wow

  • jimis tempo was always faster than everyone elses, thats how he liked it. every one has there own style.

  • This reminds me that i'm alive.

    Love it!

  • Is it Ginger Baker?

  • I love you •• Nadia+Veronique ...

  • When people right idiotic comments from ignorance, just ignore them. They do it from lack of attention, notice how happy they actually become when everyone starts commenting on what they say. Don't you realize how deep you cut when you just make believe it isn't even there? They'll probably come back for weeks just hoping that someone wrote back. It's pretty easy to predict the mind of an ignorant teenager. Don't feed their hypocrisy people.

  • i love how he lookds sad.. i just want to hug him.

  • Hendrix,master...

  • i hate how the guy at the end talks, not just because he tells them to stop, but also cuz he says it like he just saw some random band -.-

  • Cool video. Thanks for posting.

  • That wasx some worked out shit!!!WOW!!!!

  • mostri sacri

  • which year is this?

  • Jimi + SG + sunshine of your love > all

  • @motojn96 Thought Jimi used a Strat?

  • @mrdeersniper Jimi often used a Strat he is often credited as making the Strat and Fender as popular as they have become. That being said he like most guitarists use different guitars from time to time

  • Woow Noel Redding was a monster, in fact all of them were brilliant!!

That's why the Experience was so big and Legendary

  • Fucking epic!

  • Hendrix and Cobain both left handed and both died at 27.

  • Chops of youre love

  • jimi was baddd.. mad talented and creative

  • Amazing!! Great performance!! I really love.

  • eddytheyeti2 you're right about Mitch dropping his stick in the beginning of the recording. I wouldn't have probably caught that.

  • 4 people without brain

  • 4 ice cream

  • This may be my first EVER YouTube comment, but @Logistica left sucha bad taste in my mouth with 'his' unnecessary racist remarks that I couldn't just walk away and let it go, from Jimi to John Lee, to B.B. King - I only wish I could play half as well as these guys on a bad day. But don't forget Eric, Stevie Ray, or Tommy Katona (look him up) ... if you can play, play!

And if the best thing you can do with your fingers is type racist crap, well ... good luck finding a fan base with that.

  • @dind69 hahahhahahaha might be your first but your cherry is popped 69er,welcomre to the world of fuckhead opinions and retaliations.i always tell myself to stop but once your eyeball drifts downwards and catches the fuckwit opinionated mediocrity of this world that just love to make shore you know "how it is ",fill in this space "****",same sort of people aleays have an opinion about how politics should be run,,religion, same sex, boat people,,,etc

  • @DanielGrozier Thanks DG. Peace, love, and Strats!

  • RIP jimi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 41 years without you but you are still here...a TRUE LEGEND!!!!!

  • Jimi Was hi On his music and not coke read the book dood

  • Stretch out Noel!

It is obvious why he was Jimi's bass player!!!

  • i think they were doing coke b 4 they got on. i like it

  • sick!!

  • Hendrix on Gibson SG----I still like the Strat-Iv'e had a Les Paul-Loved it but I like my Strat better.

  • It's just so crazy that he played lefty. I am a lefty and I could never understand how people played that way. Seems counter-intuitive to have your stronger hand be your strumming hand. I guess this is just a true testament to his real genius. Didn't his father actually find him his first (right-handed) guitar when he was 13 at a garage sale, which Jimi later converted into a lefty guitar?

  • well he made one mistake...I forgive him totally and he still started this style of music so it doesn't deserve a neg feedback...he was writing this stuff as he was playing...I love him still...HE ROCKS

  • 4 people are deaf

  • 0:15 his guitar strings tried to hide from the rays of awesomeness coming from him.

  • @brainstormer9 He was adjusting the tone knob, not trying to access the string.

  • @PBANDSNOW whatever. I'M JUST TRYING TO FIND APPROVAL ON YOUTUBE GAWSH!

  • @brainstormer9 Lol.

  • Primeira vez que vejo ele com uma guitarra da Gibson

  • he got so tired of playing the old themes thanx for sharing

  • not really sure what that was all about, seems like hendrix couldnt be bothered. I love the way they dont seem to really know whats going on goes to show, most half backed idiots could pick up a instument in the 60's and become todays legends.

P.s hendrix and mitch were actually really good but this was crap

  • @Goergebenson I think it's just because Jimi never really wanted to play anything seriously (like to make it sound good). He just used to always be practicing, trying to play it differently, and messing with the sound of a song. That's why even with his own songs, you can listen to the same song at two different dates and it will sound totally different.

  • Hendrix was the only guy who could make a cover version sound better.

  • Noel showed off on this. (1st time I ever got to say that on a Hendrix video!)

  • How awesome it this? Absolutely love it <3

  • che spettacolo!!! Jimi surclassa i Cream......

  • i think Hendrix prefers his strat

  • He was notorious for being fucked up at his concerts He was shy

  • i love hendrix version of this masterpiece

  • 4 people were so dazzled by this stunning, hypnotizing performance they got dizzy while accidentally clicking the wrong button.

  • anyone that doesn't love his skill....is no nothing unskilled unemployed carpenters fanboi.

  • 4 DEAF PEOPLE!

  • @izak1992 Make that five people who died, accidentally moved the mouse and hit the button.

Not that I'm making excuses, of course. Hendrix's music should've gotten past their deafness and cured it.

  • @izak1992 5 now -_-'

  • @izak1992 5 :P

  • @izak1992 what?

  • hendrix looks so much bored on this....very different from his other performances where hes playing with his back, with his teeth, playing with the wammy and making dive bombs mixed with tasty licks. here he seems to be playing like if he was doing it aginst his will

  • @majinbunda yeah I agree, I think he's pissed off. Something must have happened maybe.

  • gold gold classic rock

  • Big Jimi...rock on...:) xxx

  • Ok it's sunday im bored, my Super Group cont. Chris Cornell - Lead Vocals, Tony Iommi - lead guitar, James Hetfield- rhythm Guitar/vocal, John paul jones bass, Dave Lombardo- Drums.

  • who's the bad ass guitar player in the vid= half cherokee 1/2 black seattlite guitar jesus-- he who puts his guitar in his mouth

  • who's the guy in the bass?

  • @X1noZhitop Noel Redding.

  • @mrdeersniper thx :D

  • @X1noZhitop No problem. Noel Redding is a hell of a good bass player.

  • I want Noels fucking hat...thats a groovy hat

  • It's always great to see a live form Jimi Hendrix but for me, it's one of the worst of his career : he seems to be mad, to have no control of his sound (because he uses a Gibson SG?), he's not in the mood, he's totally missing from the show. As a fan of his wonderful talent, this video is interesting because it shows he's human but it doesn't represent the great guitarist he was.

  • @malamutelocomotive

I kinda agree with you, but I also disagree. I think that he was just testing his stuff out. Of course I might be wrong.

  • @NeonProductions10

Well, he was testing his stuff out, as you say, but there are so many situations of Jimi doing it with the succes we know. For me, he's in a bad day, that's obvious... But I might be wrong, too ;-)

  • A cool band would be

    Ozzy Osbourne - Vocals

Eric Clapton - Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals

Jimi Hendrix - Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals

    Paul McCartney - Bass/Backing Vocals

    Tommy Aldridge - Drums/Backing Vocals

  • @mrdeersniper Ok, but i would trade Robert Plant for Ozzy. Plant and Mccartney together wow. Ozzy would lead my second band, consisting of Eddie Van Halen- lead guitar , SLASH - Rhythm Guitar, Les Claypool - Bass, and Bonzo Bonham on Drums. Peace, Wait im not finished this is fun. third and final band would be Axl Rose - Lead Vocals, Angus Young (acdc) - Lead Guitar, Jimmy Page - Rhythm Guitar- Cliff Burton- Base, Kieth Moon - Drums

  • @rodd7 oops, i meant Ozzy for Robert

  • @rodd7 Cool. I think I like your second band best. Or first. Are you an Ozzy fan and Hendrix fsn or what??? Mainly I like psychedelic rock and hair metal...

  • @mrdeersniper Hey man! you can't put clapton to the lead guitar when there's Mr Jimi Hendrix with him! XD Sorry for my english, i'm belgian ;-)

    Peace.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!111

  • man ,I think I like this version much more than the original.I want to hear the next song he plays after this one!

  • man ,I think I like this version much more than the original.

  • Four people don't have any sunshine in their lives.

Aside from the masterful Jimi, that is some great bass work.

This is so good when so much of today is so bland and talentless.

  • He's mad as fuck but playin so well...at the end he switches to his strat and the anounncer says: that's enough folks, he almost left the stage. But the NOO fromt he crowd was enough to bring him back!

one of a kind, Mr. Hendrix...R.I.P brother

  • @IsaacRnR he was mad on the SG? O:

  • Hendrix just jamming on the cream classic with a white SG priceless !

  • @SOADFOREVER123 fuckin aaaa

  • Bassist did a great job too!

  • @Laimonel yeah man dude can throw down like george foreman on a grill

  • The thing about the old rock with the new one is 1:There are no good artist cause the old artist were playing something sooooo simple and the new ones try to play the imposible to make a good song 2:The new bands most of them dont have fans cause the people are listening the old ones and the are believing that the new bands stinks thats why pop music is so popular

  • great music

  • Saw Jimi at the SWING in San Berdoo, think it was about 67-68. It was the first song he did, he did it like the boys did it Clapton-Bruce-Baker. He sang it like Clapton did. It was very similar to the BIG hit that it was back then. I like this a little better because of the extra guitar work, the guy was the best, people

  • if the three people who disliked this video came here and disliked it because they honestly didnt like the music, then they dont deserve ears

  • Yeah. You gotta give this one up for Noel!

    ever

  • very very very grate!!!!!

    he s just concentrating

  • very very very grate!!!!!

  • Do i detect a tasty Bass solo?

  • looked like something was troubling Jimi, which in turn made his playing sub-par (for Jimi Hendrix that is) and just frustrated him even more. That or he could be on a horrible acid ride and he is just trying not to lose it in front of everyone lol

  • hendrix use SG?

  • @mehiplayguitar For the tail end of his career, les paul custom sg 3 humbuckers and tremolo

  • he was really bored at this show.. his royal albert hall "sunshine " is much better or the sunshine of your love @ the lulu show.. here he is not really into it most of this concert is not good ,except for killing for and red house imho...
