I don't think that a movie should be exactly like the book. There should be a "creative" difference between it, otherwise there would be no reason to make a movie! I try to keep movies and books apart! The basic story is the same, but there are differences as well (just like the Chronicals of Narnia)

As gushing as the interviewer was, she asked one revealing/ substantive question that even Mr. Firth admitted showed imagination. That was his experience meeting his wife's family. He has stated innother interviews that portions of his wife's family would not even talk to him unless she had a ring on her finger. He also stated that he never felt accepted by them until he won the award in Venice. I find that to be very interesting indeed.
