I dont think it would...Not if he doesn't sign with New jersey. If Zach Parise in the next few days hints that he is not wanting the sign with New Jersey than the Devils are atleast going to want to get atleast something in his place. Fleischmann, Stoa, and Cumisky could work, but if it doesn't maybe trade one or two of our 2012 2nd round picks. But im only dreaming big. Im still surprised Tampa hasnt signed Stamkos yet.

Interesting that aparantly Colorado wasn't interested in Larsson, I don't know why maybe they didn't like his answers he gave during the interviews? who knows but I am excitied about seeing Landeskog in Colorado probably next year.

What did i just tell you?? His agent Claes Elefalk told NHL. COM that he wants to play a year or two more with sweden. If we picked him we would have to wait atleast a year to play him and we need someone now so we picked a two way forward who could play both offense and defense. Also the avalanche have about 18 million they have to spend this off season. They are definitely going to pick up a goalie and some D from free agency.

@nevertweet015 I think Hedman really hurt Larsson's stocks, he was supposed to be dominate and really has shown no indication of that. It's alot safer drafting out of the CHL, the game and talent they compete against are far more consistent. International game wise I thought Landeskog was more impressive as well. And with a pick that high you shouldn't draft for needs, that's and NFL/NBA thing because the same players play the majority of the game.

@kingparkerIII From what they were saying before Larsson was picked is that he's the best D prospect since Drew Daughty! and that he's better than Hedman at everything than skating! whether or not their right remains to be seen but from what their saying Hedman was severly overrated going into the draft...time will tell if Larsson is overrated aswell.
