Semi stupid question: I was wondering this for awhile, I buy most of my gear second hand because frankly its the same thing/ already broken in for a cheaper price, and I was surprised to find alot of these selling on Guitar Centers used site for under $600. @BOBBYGITRPLYR I have the angel of deth and this had the exact same problem. All you have to do is open the back and bend the connecting metal plate in so it touches the connection properly, then problem solved, hope this helps.

But, yeah, i think he won't return to jackson because they treated him like shit at the end , when FENDER tryed to buy jackson.(+dean offerd him an incredible offer;more than 11 guitars per year, against 3 for jackson).

i think jackson guitars sound better than Dean's,(at least the usa models)

Megadeth is my favorite band and Dave Mustaine is my favorite guitarist and would LOVE to own this guitar but, I simply do not like the headstock. I know that might sound a bit stupid but, it is the worst feature about the Dean D.Mustaine guitars. Otherwise, the other features are exactly what I would want in a guitar. I'd rather buy the Peterson Old Skull V. My opinion of course.

@taxman806 In my optinion this is the only V shaped guitar part from the original gibson V's that have a desent headstock, I mean the headstock on for example the dimebag models are hideous. :) but then, in sweden we have a saying "Smaken är som baken, delad å alla har en" wich litterally translates "Taste is like an ass, splitt in half (or parted if you wish) and we've all got one" hehe if taht made any sense to you at all :)

@Kitchenfreak81 I'm a huge fan of Dime as well (R.I.P.) but I agree...those headstocks are AWFUL! I guess it isn't that bad, and I know that Dave is a 6 in line on top kinda guy but, I think this guitar would look a lot better with maybe a reverse headstock? I was a really big fan of the Jacksons he played. I wish he'd go back to playin' Jacksons. And I agree with everyone else on here about the pick-ups. EMGs are the way to go. I thought that Dave had some signature EMGs at one point.

@HurricaneTBag keep in mind you're hearing it through probably sub-par mics and on a video on youtube. Dave Mustaine himself plays this model, I'm pretty sure, so it should hold up in a concert environment with the right amp. I'd try this out at a Guitar Center or something before judging it too much.

@spleen1234567 I know MegaDave plays this model, but his live show got significantly less heavy, he stopped playing the Conjuring and rarely plays Tornado of Souls, Five Magics, and even In My Darkest Hour isn't a live fixture anymore. I think it's those weak ass Livewires, I dunno why he just doesn't use EMGs, BKs, or DiMarzios. Those Duncans sound like garbage. Put in a pair of nailbombs and I think you'll hear a pretty smoking guitar.
