sound is ok. there's a mic input so you can use a cheap external mic to avoid any sounds of the motor, which is minimal anyway.
i'm having problems uploading to premier pro 1 on vista at the mo but every other software seems to work fine. u need a firewire cable to upload footage.
that's ok. yeah i'm quite impressed with the quality. it looks much better un-compressed. i would say it's the best cheap mini dv camera you can get. it's widescreen and has a mic input!
That what i was thinking because youtube compresses it alot so uncompressed video would be alot better. I think its actually the only cheap camera with mic input which is an even better thing. This video video has made me make up my mind of the camera i am getting
yeah get this or even the md101. the sony's are good but yeah no mic input. the next best camera is the canon hv30 from then on your looking at spending thousands. i would rather rent than spend thousands though
that is great dose it pas files to your pc like a pendrive

i bought a firewire with a standard usb at one end and I cant make it work. ruining the camera for me...

it was a 4pin lead both ends. i think it depends on what input you have on your computer too. i got mine from pc world.

Yeah or the hv20 which is the same but the hv30 is slightly better but i'm not sure what they changed on it
