Fingerweg von WD Platten, es ist festgestellt worden, dass einige Platten vom Werk her so eingetsellt wurden, dass die Leseköpfe ständig parken, und nach ca. 300 000 mal ist die Platte im Arsch. Ich bin ein geprellter Kunde und werde diese Warnung über all verbreiten in der Hoffnung, dass diese Betrüger Firma dadurch an Umsatz einbüßt. Skrupellos !!!!!
Yes kai it is normal, hard drives are always advertised with the unformatted capacity, the actual formatted capacity will be less. For example I have a seperate 320GB hdd, which when formatted only gives me 298GB.
I hate that hd companies do this, but unfortunately its been this way as long as i can remember
has it be plugged into computer whole time,or i can unpluuged it when pc is turned off and use it with other pc,i mean to use it as portable HDD? thanx.
Well I havent had any problems with it myself (even my other mybook 320gb has worked flawlessly), I mean it is a usb external so speed aint remarkable (around 20-30MB/sec) but cant complain
yeah i kinda felt strange to narrate my own video LOL...the music was from smartsound quicktracks in ulead video studio, as I didnt want to get up youtube's nose and use real music.
