Well in mate, everyone is so happy for you. Maybe try lifting something big next time, or some other completely pointless physical task that earns you some meager amount of recognition among your olympic peers. It happens every 4 years for a reason, because nobody gives a shit.
ok this is good but not a big deal for me (5'9'' and 68 kg), so it shouldn't be for him too. And he is running no hills no sharp turns .... so This pace is just normal!
You should gain some weight and muscle. At your weight you are almost a coxwain. I'd say get up to 70 kg and then work from there. I'm 6'1" 17 and 80 kg and pull a 6:24 so at your current height and weight really concentrate on breaking 7

There are heavy weight rowers who runs down towards 31 min for 10k so just under 39 or 36 normally for Cracknell is not that impressive in comparison. He actually lacks a lot of runnig technique and could improve no doubt. Then again he might be content winning the olympics rowing. Seemed like horrible conditions anyhow.
I've trained with a few in the 36 min league and been there myself. One of them had a national juniors gold medal in swimming too. I only know one who did 31 and he was a former elite runner who took up rowing in the 90's. Never had much success in boat though. Decent on ther erg, 5:58 for 2k.I believe some of the lightweights have done 33min runs off sesason, while being hwt. This is just my personal experience of people. Keep asking around the globe and you'll probably find more
@Smackbox Damn man 5.58 for an erg 2k....thats crazy good, im a light guy so i wouldnt even be able to pull 1k at that rate id say....well maybe with training
@Smackbox Id be happy to hand you the keys of my house dude, and my car if you can name one heavy weight rower who is capable of running downwards of 31 mins for 10 km.
No you wouldn't. In fact I'm so certain that you wouldn't give you the keys that if you did I would give you the keys not only to my house but also return the keys to your mama's house.
He still completed his 10k in 39mins! very good, I think that is just above average for 10k, less the extreme humidity, pollution and and temperature of course.

a 39 minute 10km run for a 99kg man is an amazing feat of endurance and aerobic capabilities.
Most men who run a 39 minute 10km would be closer to the 65 - 75kg weight range.

Look when I made the comment - 4 months ago, i.e. before retroactive testing showed him to have used CERA. Likewise for Bernard Kohl.
