  • so what exactly is this talk about?

  • Love this woman!

  • ITS THE THUMBS!!!!!!!

  • who woooow woooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • she got the point.

  • God, she's such an amazing and inspiring woman. <3

  • hehehe, as far as i know, apes, and other animals, insects, fuckin fish, worms, maggots.. lol!.. and every living shit that is not human, or "intelligent" never did anything to destry their world. we are so intelligent we dig our own graves. how pathetic is that. LMAO!

  • Comment removed

  • @xxxxxDIABLOxxx Every animal, in the absence of competition and predation has the capacity to do this and I would argue that if conditions allowed for it, would. Humans appear different in this respect simply because our cleverness, at least for now, has allowed us to cheat natural law.

  • I love science.

  • IMF = Nazis

  • It makes me sad that things like this only get 70k Views, but a music video with some 1/2 naked chicks can get MILLIONS of views over night!

  • @flowerlizz456 If Jane Goodall was a male then this video would get large viewership. No one can take a woman seriously when she tries to 'teach.' Research and stuff is the domain of man.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 I disagree. The reason this doesn't have a large viewership is two fold. 1) The subject matter is not something that a healthy portion of people are open to. 2) Subject matter aside, most people aren't interested in learning. I'll grant that her femininity may very well play a role in the low viewership, but it is not a large role.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 You're entirely inaccurate in your statements, it's some MEN that can't take women seriously because they have a inferiority complex. Women on the other hand have always and will continue to support each other, if you are suffering from a inferiority complex I highly recommend you seek professional help. With all love and light modern day "sexist" : )

  • I THINK EVERYBODY SHOULD GET INVOLVED IN THE ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT.

THAT'S THE ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO BRING ABOUT GLOBAL CHANGE

  • How mesmerizing do the voices of intelligence and knowledge sound. Everyone of us has a role to play. Let's lean our decision making on the experience of great human beings, not the egotistical puppets in Washington trashing hundreds of years of civilization for the sake of power and worthless cash.

  • Jane Goodall is an Earth Angel & is inspirational~She is not only helping chimpanzie relatives~she is working for the greater good of all~Namaste~*

  • Jane Goodall was the first public figure that I looked up to, in a sense a hero or an idol for me when I was a kid. She still holds this roll for me. Thank you Jane for your work, your care for the world and your hope for the future. Human brains and hearts, like ours, are rising to love problems, and we like nature, are resilient.

  • I love this woman. She's so awesome. The only thing she's wrong about is that chimps use ASL; unfortunately they do not. To say so is to demean ASL as a simplistic communication. When chimps use "sign language," they do not show a consistent understanding of grammar (and x-bar theory in general), which means its by definition not language. Despite this, chimps are no less intelligent or fascinating.

  • Jane Goodall should be leader of the world.

  • she hit the nail on the head when she mentioned she has three grandchildren. there are plenty of people with three four five sixe seven children. there is the problem. people having too many children degenerates breeding more degenerates, to further use scarce resources.

  • "Man- the toolmaker" has turned into "Man- the tool"

  • Scientists are stupid. Save from humer and maby tool making dogs have all the "humen like" qualities she named.

  • Chimpanzee shouldn't be kept as pets just look at what happen to Charla Nash

  • Evolution is a tool of the Satan to blind human being from the truth. Can't believe you people are falling for all this 'science' stuff...

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 You stupid. Don't talk.

  • @kirkspuppet9 Enjoy your eternity in hell.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 If you're honestly serious with that statement, you are honestly so incredible brain-washed it is pathetic.

  • @ToxxinProductions Sorry but it is you who have been brain-washed by the evils of Satan. Like I said earlier, enjoy your eternity in hell you non-believer.

Also there is nothing wrong with my statement. It is a factual statement.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 If Satan encourages science then he's encouraging humans to learn about the things that GOD CREATED. Encouraging us to want to be kind to each other and make this world a better place. The laws of physics, the laws of nature would all be created by GOD. So wouldn't you think that it would be GOD wanting us to learn about his world and not satan? To look through the eyes of GOD? I think my friend, are going to hell, by not wanting to learn you're falling into Satan's trap.

  • @ToxxinProductions Dude... Are you serious? What part of science is the tool of the Devil do you not understand? Of course, to a blind person like you science may look wonderful and peaceful. People like me who know the reality aren't blinded by that sort of thing. It is people like you who are destroying this world. The less people like you, the more peaceful and prosperous the world would be. Let me guess, you also want equal right for women don't you? Your kind are sad...

  • Things like animal rights, women's rights, women at higher positions then men, are all evil thinking. I find it amazing that there are people, especially the men, who want women to live equally as men. Women are here to serve men and nothing else. Forget that, now people want animals to have rights? You got to be kidding me.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 Now I just feel like you're trolling, but if you're being honest... then it makes me sad that a being with such an advanced brain can be so unintelligent and so evil.

  • @ToxxinProductions Faith requires more intelligence than non-sense like evolution and quantum physics.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 Non sense like evolution and quantum physics? Those both have evidence behind them, they have proof, they have studies, they have experiments they have hundreds and thousands of people coming up with the same thing that gives more evidence of it being true. Faith requires you to believe in something that has no proof in it whatsoever and takes no intelligence whatsoever to understand.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 Stupid troll....

  • @MrTaurus511 Did you really need to comment? If you can't offer logic and insight like I do in a conversation than please refrain yourself from commenting and wasting space.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011

" I find it amazing that there are people, especially the men, who want women to live equally as men."

I would think when you are an imbecile, you find most everything amazing.

  • @StayAtHomeSon2011 your a TROLL of satan go away lol!

  • Wow, such a good person.

  • This is amazing and is going to help for my science and practice exam tomorrow too... RESULT!!

  • This is anazing... it's totally gonna help for my science and practice exam tomorrow too:P

  • Who is better Jane Goodall or Dian Fossey?

  • @PhillyDippy5

They both studied different species of apes, you can't really compare.

  • @PhillyDippy5 Who would win in an arm wrestling match?

  • @Jestlow I

  • It's deism to atheism to Satanism. Eugenics is alive & well & in practice with Planned Parenthood and the World Health Organization. American blacks are targeted for I.U.D.'s, subcutaneous birth control devices, morning-after pills and abortions.

  • I'm taking an Anthro class and just saw the retrospect of her studies; she's amazing, and I really enjoyed this tedtalk

  • If only everyone would listen to Jane Goodall - one wise, wise woman.

  • Wow, that woman is one of a kind. Brought tears to my eyes.

  • Ah a couple people missed the "like" button. Silly children. Accept the fact that evolution is real.

  • 60,000 views over 3 years.

60,000,000 views in less than a month

    Rebecca Black - Friday

don't let these numbers discourage you, EARTH!

  • Violence leads to violence... Why many governments leaders do not understand it? What is missing to it happens?

  • Goodall's dedication to researching primates is very commendable, but I know that after all those years, she really couldn't find a direct link between us, and them.

Heh... I already know where we really come from. And when you look to the stars: they're no nearer.

  • What separates us from the apes?

    1) Tiny ankle socks

    2) Milk cartons

    3) Return tickets to Idaho

Thats pretty much everything so far..

  • missing? what do you mean, missing?

  • I've read some of the comments on this site . Now I understand the problem with the so call humans. I'm ashamed to say It. Where headed for destruction. We seem to have miss the point of what the sister was trying to get across to the listening audience.

  • people are silly to think humans are so special. Only in our arrogant, ignorant, egotisical minds are we any more valuable than any other living organism on this planet. We are the most dominant species at the moment, but people don't realize that evolution is still taking place as much as ever. The 250,000 years that Homo sapiens has been around is but a sliver of the time life has existed and the time it will exist on earth. Studies like this prove that our smarts are not so unique.

  • Jane Goodall speaks well and true - if only most humans could understand, that by

living every day with common sense, compassion, reasoning, empathy, wisdom,

and morals all living beings could be healthy, wealthy and happy. It doesn't take a

lot of thinking, just a matter of living simply - appreciating and respecting all what

The Devine Creator has given us to live in harmony with all other living beings.

  • Dont feed the bears.

  • is it just me or is jane shapeshifting into a chimpanzee

  • i have genital warts

  • science shows that white people are genetically closer to apes

  • @heckler171

your obviously missing the point of this video, go and look for arguments elsewhere?

  • @01bot i got the point but science shows that whites are genetically closer to apes. not trying to start anything accept get rid of the age old image that blacks are apes and inferior. it seems who wanted to start an agrument by commenting on my comment. good day

  • @heckler171 white americans have average iq of 100 while africans 70 and black americans 85.

  • taxes.

  • This woman believes in the exitence of bigfoot and sasquatches. I have great respect for this woman, unlike the majority of you close-minded people. If you guys were told that spontaneous generation was true by your mother, I'd bet you believe her. But most of you people are so ignorant you probably don't even know what spontaneous generation is... I REST MY CASE!

  • @ExistenceOfBigfoot with all due respect, WHAT CASE. You've simply backed an opinion with a hypothetical situation.

  • LEG-SHAVING MANIACS—It's easy to say: “I hate gynecology so much!” But when it comes to World War II it ain't so cut-and-dry is it? Everyone respects what Wilson did for the banks in 1913 but who now can reflect with insufficient honesty the pull of Col. House on all matters Wilsonian?

  • if we keep listening to conservative media, apes will soon catch up to us in no time.

  • @phattown213 Well said.

  • @bluedeucegooch I agree.

  • so inspiring. made me cry...

  • @emoscreamohxc No Hot Topic kid, fer sure. Check out Hot Topics channel ?

  • @kiribula lmao you're a fucking faaaaaaaaaaaaaagoot

  • @emoscreamohxc I do. I wish I had the opportunity to go to college and take a phys anthro class.

  • Monkey Shine!!!!!!

  • the genetic diversity between individual humans is 1-3%, the difference between us and apes I think is something like, 5-6%?

it was on some interview between dawkins and venter go find it yourself :p

  • Inspirational and tireless lady....... A peaceful warrior in a time of ecological need....

  • May God bless and protect her always for her mission!!!

  • @PierogiSauce I enjoy pierogis, they taste so good to me!

  • She is my role model as an aspiring biologist.

  • I don't think there's a single other person on the planet who could make that sound and get applause. Jane Goodall is pure awesome.

  • Inspiring.

  • i hope it's not too late fr our planet..

  • Had the great honor of attending her benefit concert last night in D.C. with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds.

What a truly inspiring person, a ray of hope in an otherwise dark world. They were running a fundraiser where you can text "CHIMP" to 20222 to donate $10 to her foundation, so i thought i would spread the word a little bit. :)

  • She's absolutely brilliant an a inspiration to beings of all walks of life, thanks you Dr. Goodall!

  • If you believe we are created then you believe god made us have more dna in common with apes than any other species..why is that? why make us so similar if we werent alike? Theres really no such thing as diversity, you see the same things in the animal kingdom used in different ways...if your going to create life, why not make each species 100% unique? evolution is a fact

  • she does what i dream...she is my hero!

  • I saw her yesterday In Rhode Island at the Roger WIlliams Zoo....what a pleasant surprise.

  • Hitlerian-styled eugenics was about improving the populace thru racial hygiene. The sermons of Darwin, Dawkins, Cousteau, Ted Turner, Margaret Sanger, Jane Goodall, Paul Ehrlich, the Huxleys, H.G. Wells, Elizabeth Regina's husband, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates etc. humanely stress the reduction of humanity through weaponized serums, laboratory-fabricated viruses (pathogens), perpetual war, food & water shortages/rationing, de-industrialization & aborticides.

  • amazing woman o_o

Regarding nature and the earth, God speaks through her..

  • @12zuzus

Nicely said, I would agree with you, thanks for that

    o_o

  • Why does the video always freeze at 14:30 ?

  • @onedollarbook -

    Shut up, freak.

  • Where's your gay pride now?

  • OneDollar -

You may now die. I have granted you permission.

  • A gay-dating site will serve your needs.

  • I'm here to help you. I can't help you

until you're ready to be helped.

  • You're troubled. I'm here. Let's work it out together.

  • You're struggling with homosexuality. It's come down to a contest between your boyfriend and your parents. Suicide isn't the answer.

  • brilliant woman

  • Goodall supports eugenics.

  • "This is the scientific reality that the seeds of all common fruits (except citrus) contain Vitamin B17, an anti cancer vitamin. If we ingest proper quantities for these vitamin either in the pure form or through ingesting the nitrilosidic foods we will be able to prevent cancer just as surely as we are able to prevent Scurvy by the use of vitamin C or Pernicious Anemia by the use of vitamin B12. "

    .....Ernest Krebs, Jr.

  • Christopher Hitchens promotes the Bush/ Obama/Kissinger/Rockefeller model of Anglo-American Empire under the banner of N.W.O. He heartily endorsed the blockade of Iraq that precipitated the deaths of 500,000 children. Three million Iraqis are dead as a result. Is this just a war for pelf or is it one of genocide with 3 million dead, many millions crippled out of a pop. of 25 million? For a handle on the military-industrial complex read and watch Chalmers Johnson.

  • I do not really care for the environmentalist ideal, as I see humanity as a force of nature, and thus amoral and unstoppable. We can individually do our part, but it's only a feel-good action.

That said, I find the scientific insight on primates at the very least enlightening.

  • My Highschool Biology teacher really liked Jane Goodall, and she looked a lot like her :O

  • If you are going to write something...at the very least write something worth saying.

  • I wrote something worth replying to, apparently ;) booyah

  • I love nature. I appreciate the planet I share with other species.

It breaks me heart when I hear of species near extinction or extinct. The records can't even keep up with the daily count of the impact of destruction humans inflict on non-human animals.

Will I be doomed to a lifeless, waste filled future? Or will humans at least try to turn things around?

  • We could start by recording the impact of destruction we inflict on our fellow human animals as you put it. How about starting

    with Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan?

  • We can do both, because both are important :)

  • Why do people hate the fact that we have a common ancestor with apes so much? Where else would we come from? There has to be a point where we have a common ancestor with every species (when the original 1 celled organisms ruled the earth) and we all split from there. The common ancestor then split into an ape and a human down the line. Our DNA is 1% different

  • Thats absolutely alright. There is nothing wrong with you believing what you believe and closing your eyes and ears to any other explantion. I dont think there is anything wrong with that. My only problem is that I dont think it should be spread as fact if it is merely your belief and there is no way to prove it. I actually like your way of thinking and the way you put it, you have not made any false statements or ad hominem attacks. Just said its too hard to understand and would rather not.

  • I was kidding around ; )

  • Because they put aside logic and spew nonesense written by a bunch of idiots in the Middle East some 2000 years ago. Do we follow the same science of health care that they used back then?

  • @jnwpse

we whites come from god while color people come from monkey. why don't you go tell a black person he came from a monkey already and see how he reacts.

  • @MrRightAllTime Oh man your awesome. When I grow up I wanna be just like you, I never thought of it that way.

  • @jnwpse

because some people think they are special and above the rest of nature.

  • @itzahazylife Yup,they cant handle the truth so they fight it. And on top of that they mix up the details and convert "common ancestor" to "bestiality, or sex and reproduction with monkeys". Just look at the comments from MrRightAllTime. Hes probably just a 12 year old who wants to piss people off on youtube though, doesnt bother me, youll always find those people a dime a dozen.

  • @jnwpse : How could unicellular organisms rule the Earth? What rules of order could they possibly impose?

  • @procommenter Lol, I like how you put it. When I say ruled the earth what I mean to say is they were the only ones on earth at a point. Its not that they ruled with civilizations like humans do. but they were once the only thing you would find, they then figured out clever ways to evolve and better themselves, push fast forward and look what we have today. Thats what i call ruling the earth in my book.

  • @jnwpse : As logic demands: ancient 2-celled animalcules had twice the brain & twice the brawn of their 1-celled cousins.

  • @procommenter lol, Logic demands that if you have 2 of the same thing, then you have 2 of everything that makes up the thing that was doubled. An organism with one cell is not immediately half as good as an organism with 2 cells though, he just has half as many cells. They cell may play a vital part, but micro-organisms are made up of more than 1 thing. However if were just talking about 1 cell alone, than yes 2 cells is twice of that 1 cell. Logically speaking

  • @jnwpse : Better still: the Big Bang's impetus from a dot the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

  • @procommenter (Correction. I omitted a word.) Better still: the Big Bang's impetus IS from a dot the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

  • @procommenter And that dot was so heavy it would fall straight to the earth had it been anything macroscopic.

  • @jnwpse I'm glad to see young people with a drive like this! This is what she's talking about, and ps. Its 2% difference ;P

  • @MrFatherNature Lol, your right I always say 2% when I speak but often I write 1% when I type. I really cant explain, I think its a confusion I got from Neil Tyson speaking about if there was a species 1% different than us. Anyhow, your right, its 2% difference. PS. How do you know im young and not 86?

  • @jnwpse Actually its four percent difference between Chimps and Humans.

  • @slicingwater I guess it varies depending on which prime-apes your doing the comparison with. Results vary from about 5%-1%, the point is though were not so different. Its really all in the DNA .Its the blueprint that builds the building. Call me a dreamer but I do believe we may soon crack the code of why people die, I give it about 100 years maximum before humans can go from adult to kid and back to adult, thus rendering us immortal. Giants like Robert Lanza are working on similar projects.

  • @jnwpse We don't share a common ancestor with apes, we are apes! Homo Sapien. :)

  • @TheVirginQueenShane Yes. We are prime-apes. By definition of the word we certainly are apes though we are not monkeys, but by the general public understanding of the word ape, they think of a gorilla, which is the species whom we share the common ancestor with. We are all just another brand of monkeys in denial. I bet if we were closely related to lions or snakes people would not be so quick to disagree, it just sounds kind of insulting to call someone a monkey so nobody wants to admit it. lol

  • @jnwpse Yes, I agree. I think Apes are one of the most fascinating animals on the planet so I would certainly not disagree that I am one of them. In-fact I'd prefer to be an ape, and therefore a part of the natural world than a descendant of God('s).

  • @TheVirginQueenShane lol, Were made of star stuff theres no denying that. A star died and spit out its guts which became the planets that breeded us and everything else we know of on the planet. I dont think it gets much cooler than that

  • @jnwpse I have read an article by Carl Sagan where he says exactly the same thing. Its beautiful.

  • @TheVirginQueenShane Cosmos by Carl Sagan is my favorite book and TV show ever. Carl Sagan is one of my biggest inspirations, its sucks he had to leave us so early. Brian Cox and Neil Degrasse Tyson are in my opinion the closest we have today to Carl Sagan. All great people.

  • @jnwpse Probably because it completely destroys their comforting view that they are God's children and thus superior to all other life on Earth, which they must conquer in the name of God.

All of which I find very hypocritical and funny at best since if God is truly all-encompassing, isn't all life special to him?

Basically, evolution scares a lot of people because their egos get hurt that they are related to monkeys. Which doesn't bother me in the slightest. Chimps are fascinating relatives.

  • @pratt123 Your absolutely right. You have to be very egotistical to not accept something that all evidence makes obvious. Ego can be blinding, unfortunately its part of the package of being human. We are the smartest that nature has to offer that we know of.(I said the smartest, not the best, best cant be measured) That's why we have no predators, because we can pretty easily outsmart any other creature. That puts us all the way at the top of the food chain, which also makes us so egotistical.

  • @pratt123 Bless you

  • @pratt123 admittedly to me they're the retarded cousin that flings poo at you from the high chair at your birthday party

  • @pratt123 It's because we haven't improved much ... that's why.

  • @pratt123 ya the Bible is very contradictory, I'm 23, very intense christian upraising of course.... Agnostic now LOL........

The Bible very plainly says multiple times that God cares for the animals very much....

  • @SHIBBYiPANDA The thing about religion is your beliefs have to be very constant and easy to understand. It is very helpful to have a list of core principles. No offense meant, but Christianity is very fragmented, confused, and unclear. There is always a principle that opposes another principle, sometimes in the same chapter of the Bible.

(Disclosure: I am a Buddhist and proud of it. Take my thoughts for what it is worth.)

  • @pratt123 Badass man, I'm swing quite the direction of the Buddhist way.. One of my dreams right now is to learn Chinese and, within ten or so years, journey to China and spend some years with the Shaolin monks.. I'd be very interested in what made you become a Buddhist.. Do you listen to Alan Watts?????

  • @SHIBBYiPANDA Actually, I have been one since birth, family religion and all. The nice thing is that there are less logical problems (although a few) so I didn't get all disenchanted later in life. (not that there is anything wrong with that)

  • @pratt123 I seriously hope you don't believe that. We are God's children and humanity, save for the science believing devil sympathizers like you, are superior to all life on Earth. We must conquer and destroy people like you, the anti-Gods, pro-Devil science crowd so that we may get rid of the evil propaganda your spew.

  • @pratt123 I know I love bieng an ape! how could you not?

  • @jnwpse Where do we come from? Read your bible, we were created by God
