@fromthesidelines Yes. The theme was always played live on the original CBS episodes as carol thanks the guests in front of the audience.

I bet when Harry Zimmerman first composed it in the first few seasons, it sounded a little Jackie Gleason show-ish to me, but at least Peter Matz kept it contemporary throughout the '70s.
