  • nice k5 blazer i have a 88 k5

  • i have an 84 K5 with 13 inch lift on 42s, and yeah, she has the 6.2L diesel =] i love that truck. IF that engine ever goes, i'll be putting a duramax in it

  • Try fitting that thing in a one way street or better yet a suburban dirty looks all day lol

  • many people think, hey it's a diesel, it's power. that is wrong. 6.2's are for fuel economy. 6.5's still lack themselves.

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD

just because you or your family has never rebuilt or serviced a 6.2 does not mean there are no cracks. the 6.2s mainly crack in the webbing on the bottom end. just because it still runs doesn't mean there's no cracks. i tore one down that i had to build up for turbos and every one of the webs was cracked. there are many cracked blocks rolling around. some people catch them early and get stud girdles. some a lock-n-stick product.

  • I have a k5 Cheyenne with a 427 from a Pontiac Firebird. Its a beast. Loved it since I was a kid.

  • bad fuckin ass

  • i have a blazer with a 6.2 they don't come stock with the turbo and they were still in the early stages of development the became military issued motors for the hummers but are extremely sluggish and dot have much torque the 350 out more horse power and torque the 6.2s also had a problem with cracking blocks same with the 6.5 which did come with the turbo still sluggish though the 6.6 duramax or the 5.9 cummings is definitely the way to go so dont waste your time with a 6.2 diesel

  • @JFrance1021 funny, i have a 6.2 with 260,000 miles and love it.

  • @JFrance1021

Those are just myths, I never, not once seen a single "Cracked block" in my entire life, and I personally own 6.2L blazer with 165,000km, my dad's 87 silverado crew cab dually 6.2L has near 600,000km and his winnebago (once had a 454 but was swapped for 6.2L) has about 300,000+ km on it and not one of these engines have ever been rebuilt or serviced. My older brother also has a Sierra 3500 (dually crew cab) with a 6.5L td and guess what? It does not have a cracked block.

  • that thing is sick!i was looking at an 84 jimmy w/ a 6.2 all summer but the guy would not come down in price.not all bad i got a diesel dodge, but still have asoft spot for the good ol 6.2 k5s
