  • nice fish men haha i fish on jekyll island ga on the beach in the surf with 15 foot surf rods and 6/0 reels. with 80lb mono. its the only way i can turn those big boys around on the beach. that was impressive withh those smaller reels..

  • Thanks for the reply... do you prefer a specific brand of mono than others? From what I can tell, most anglers I've spoken to/know use either berkley big game or ande. I just assumed that you were using braid since it seems to be very popular inshore. Gotta love landing big fish on small equipment like that. Beaufort/MC is a beautiful area/inlet. Your living the life man!

  • Great video, nice fish! I just caught my biggest Drum yet, a 42 incher! I am a Marine stationed at MCAS Cherry Point, which is located on the Neuse...I fish near the Pamlico sound. I want to go to the OBX in the fall for the big Reds. My wife is from Charlotte but I think I am going to move ot the OBX:)
