I bought this bike a few weeks ago same colour 07 model but only had 500kms as the previous owner was working overseas, Its a kickass bike I love it so much makes me happy just looking at it. The ride is awesome and sounds good stock.
The seat is a lil uncomfortable than the ninja 250r though lol
the hayabusa is the fastest in a line man and the fastest thing on two wheels but some how it doest look as sexy as the r6 and i heard its crap at turning at low speed
ive heard hayabusas suck balls but im not sure i havent even seen one in movies any where so i dont kno yet but ive also heard they are the fastest thing on 2 wheels so far
not really dude... i dunno how its where you from, but in Australia we can drive n ride from 17 years of age... that 8 years for ya... n thats like a '99 bike bein compared to its '07 model... yeah a bit more flash and a lil faster but NOT that much diff between em man... so dw its kewl
I've been riding my friends 2000 ducati monster 750 and it's fast as hell but not that hard to drive. Therefore I don't think an r6 is too much to handle. This is my first time ever riding. Any suggestions?
So ummm...I'm thinking of getting a YZF-R1 or R6...which one has a better handling and stability...since I usually use the bike for long distance travel at highways.....
If it helps. my dad is a MSF instructer and he met 3 guys who prefer the R6 over the 1 because the 1 has a bad nack of exploding on you. My dad was riding a 06 R1 for a friend trying to figure out what was up wit h the motor, he gave it just a little gas in 6th and it stood up and almost went over. the R6 is fast enough, stock a friend got his to hit 113 but had to back off because of cars, gear it right and it will push 190.
oh... there is a diference... Frame design and slipper clutch and Fly-by-wire system amongother goodies... Not saying you can't upgrade.... I wasthinking of the "s" model myself --- then I did my homework... I went with the RAVEN 06 VB --- it is a beast!!!
This guy has the same bike as I do but mine is RAVEN... don't worry you can trick yourbike out.. ;)
yeah i started on a cbr 400 rr and now im looking at the new r6, You really need to gain a some experience before getting on one of these bad boys.. Good luck though and have fun ! Chef
i rode kawasaki zzr 600 before like a same tourqe, but r6 super power alot than zzr 600. it depend on a rider how to handle it..its up to u buddy,on new R6 handeling is superb, breaks and everything is really awsum eassy to handle... in US u have to becareful ..i iwill sugeest u that try other bike first for experience like 400 FZR...
yah ill probably see if i cant get something smaller but with enough power so it will last me a couple of years, cause i have worried about me trying something stupid on one like a wheelie or something at 70mph and overdoing it or getting "highheaded" and wrecking, and that is something that i dont want to do, thanks for the help though. Ill let you know what i end up getting, thanks
I am 16 years old and have ridden four wheelers with manual clutches and have ridden a few bikes in my days, dont know what the four wheeling experience would be good for besides the manual capability, but i was wondering if this bike would be a good buy for me, it would be my first. I have heard and seen sweet things about this bike, but i dont know if its a good idea to start out with this much power. CAN YOU HELP ME?
You are stupid if you get one of these as your first bike, you will kill yourself mate, your better off with a 400 or 500 i dont know if the bikes are the same in the US? do u have 400s?
nah it's gonna be my first bike,.. people are telling me that the r6 has too much power for a beginner, but i don't care what they say. all i have to do is not punch it all the way and thats that... but this is the bike that i've been wanting to get..
i'm from san antonio tx.. people at the dealership were telling me not to get this bike, but i'm just gonna take it easy on this bike.. but i hear alot of good things from this r6.. ever since i laid eyes on the r6, i knew this was the one i had to get

im currently thinking of getting a 2007 YZF-R6 or a 2007 GSX-R600....which one do you think is better....i weight 160 and im 5"8
dalejr802 4 years ago
The R6 has a "bad look" and it sounds awsome with a new exhaust, but i dont know anything about the GSX, well not enough to say wich one's the best.
But, i would take the R6, because i like the style, and the brand Yamaha :)
