The rule of the game, make even just one room so memorable that the judges will not give you a reason to kick you out. Why do you think Matt and Jen stayed so long, his bed and her blue/yellow room was a stand-out.

Hated her Italy room. It looked too arts and crafts. She basically shot her own foot by taking 6-7 freaking hours to buy knick-knacks for that kitchen. She had some good design in her audition, but she basically didn't bring her A-game, period. It's not even about her being bitchy, although I thought she was for the most part. She didn't made a statement in her designs. Again, hated the Italy rooms, something Frank-from Trading Spaces would do.
