It's all autotuned (obviously, they're robots), leaving out one of the most important aspects of it. The emotion isn't there.

I still love Vocaloids, dispite the reputation of them sounding autotuned, it's how experienced the user is, appends, all that. If you're willing to go on a search for realistic songs, I suggest it's worth it. There's always Nico covers if you want real voices. Vocaloids aren't really autotuned voices, but a synthesizer(sp?). Look on Vocaloid wiki for more info.
