According to the lakers themselves, kobe was the leader of the team during their last championship, even though Shaq was a big part of it. Like i said, people wanna snatch three years of hard work and dedication away from kobe just cuz they dont like him as a person...thats ridiculous.

individually, michael was a much better defensive player. he was also a better overal athlete, look at the competition he faced in the dunk contests.
but its not just individual talent that sets him apart. 13 years into both of their careers, michael had won 6 championships while kobe has 4. michael had 5 mvps to kobes 1. and michael did all of this against much tougher defenses than kobe faces today. when all is said and done, kobe will still be #2 all time, but #1 will forever belon
