  • Love fake live videos

  • Best Stones disciples ever.

  • I was just in elementary school in the early 90s, but my parents listened to awesome music. I recall coming home from school everyday in 1st and 2nd grade just sitting in front of our stereo listening to Black Crowes, Soundgarden, and STP.

  • Another great song from them

Too bad they couldn't get along

    Badluck Blue Eyes

    Goodbye .....................

  • what the fuck happened to real music? im actually gutted that i missed the late 80s and was too young to remember most of the 90s :(

  • Had the luxury and pleasure of seeing TBC 3 times in my life...all I can say is WOW.

  • He does not lack anything in looks. Send him to me. :)

  • These men are gods..... its that simple

seeing them in Manchester next month and im starting to get excited now!!

  • The last great moment. The boys took the key to the house that Jack Built with them.

There was one BIG gig that started somewhere around the time Robert Johnson wandered out on to the crossroads. Chuck and Little Richard and Elvis and Dylan and the Beatles and Aretha and Brother Ray, The Allmans, Levon, Stones, James Brown was there, The Doors snuck in.The Mad Dogs. Tina and Ike. Jimi. Bob. Joni

These boys got the key round their necks still.

  • the whole album is haunting ,and beautiful!

  • Damn, this takes me way back. She had green eyes, though. And I remember alot of Jack Daniels, too.........

  • Fucking classic song, takes me back to the good old days!!

  • amazing. Crowes are the best

  • is the bootleg from a home camera?? because that is on youtube, but if you could get the rest of this show from the production camera that would be aweosome!!!

  • Preciosa... qué recuerdos!

  • great video!!

  • 4:18 'waaaaaaaaaaaaaa bad luck blue eyes a baby baby baby goodbye'

    amazing

  • > SEAKING - This most certainly IS from the Southern Harmony Tour. This is actually th official Video released for the song. The Show was recorded in Houston Texas on the Southern Harmony Tour. It's not th audio. It's th studio track, but th Video is all from '92 !!

  • One of the sweetest tunes they made.

  • Sometimes a memory only sees what it wants to believe......so true!

  • Supposedly, Marc Ford later got kicked out of the band because of his heroin-addiction. Awfully-hard to play in a band full-time while dealing with a full-time dope habit. Trust me, I tried to pull it off myself back in the late '90's when I was messing with that shit, but I eventually got fired just like he did). I'm pretty-sure Marc is off the junk nowadays, or at least he looks it. He'd probably be dead by now if he wasn't. Bad, bad stuff, that is. I wish like hell I'd never tried it.

  • My favorite BC song from my favorite BC album. At the time, I was in my first real band, and (at the "request" of our lead-singer) we must have played every song from that album. Back then, I sorta' dug the BC's, but wasn't a big fan. Now I love that album. Outstanding recording. I have a vinyl-rip of it, from the world's best vinyl-ripper, and it sounds incredible. Great one to have on vinyl.

  • i LOVE this song.

  • It's amazing to see what Ed Harsch (keys) and especially Marc Ford (lead guitar) did their overall sound after they joined in late 1991. They were the best American rock band that no one really knew or talked about. The reunion tour in 2005 was incredible, but it's been downhill since.

  • I wish they were still as good as this. But i guess age is a bitch

  • Sea1King - this is clearly not taken from High as the Moon - the song is, but this whole stage, lighting etc are from the By Your Side era - CR wasn't wearing makeup like this in the early 90s

  • @travisf31 - Please see my updated description.

  • @CursedDiamond - You are correct, this was indeed the High As The Moon tour. I was at the March 93 Riverfront Coliseum show of this tour and that was the exact same set they were using. They used only one end of the arena and those hanging lights from the fish nets were very distinctive. 4 of my buddies and I will always remember that show as one of the best we've ever seen and we've seen a LOT of shows.

  • @travisf31 The footage in this video is from '92. Marc Ford wasn't in the band when they were touring By Your Side.

  • @EdHazel79 I am an idoit! Not sure what I was drinking when I watched and posted! My bad!

  • @travisf31 No worries. Anyone who likes the Black Crowes is far from an idiot!

  • @travisf31 Another thing - Marc Ford & Johnny Colt were not in th Band for the album of By Your Side. I saw this Tour Many times in '92 & can tell ya this IS th Real Deal !! Th Audio is from th Studio. It was recorded in Houston Texas !

  • @travisf31 That is most definitely from the High As The Moon tour (1992) with the fishnet stage set up... plus Marc Ford is still in the bad in that footage, he was not by the time the By Your Side tour rolled around.

The audio sounds like the studio version to me though.

  • @jvdbukify yeah its definitely 1992 and im pretty the audio is the studio version

  • @travisf31 you are clearly wrong..... marc ford and johnny colt was not in the by your side era.... and this show was in houston either in 92 or 93.... and cr was wearing make up back then every now and then he would... this was the transition into amorica...

  • @travisf31 wrong

  • @travisf31 this is absolutely taken from HATM, it was released in '93 as a video. The cargo net, the lighting all of that was from that tour

  • Comment removed

  • @travisf31 Sorry Travis but this is clearly Southern Harmony tour footage. I've never missed a tour and High as the Moon was my favorite. Marc Ford & Johnny Colt were gone during By Your Side yet they are clearly in this video not to mention Steve Gorman's short hair which he only had during the Southern Harmony years.

  • the only band to age like fine wine.

  • the black crowes.... STILL the greatest rock n roll band of the past 30 years

  • I consider myself very lucky to have seen shows in the High as the Moon era as these images were taken from. Fantastic stage craft for those shows with unmatched energy and sound. This video accurately captures the essence of what is was to see them live in that moment in time. In a word AMAZING!

  • I can just imagine Otis Redding singing this...S.O.U.L.P.O.W.E.R.

  • Chris was in his prime right here no doubt!

  • highly underrated band. i remember their first breakout gig with Aerosmith... i went to see them and left 3 songs into Aerosmith

  • highly underrated band

  • @twoshadyg just had to much competition back in those days..amazing decades.

  • ahhh... rockin childhood memories.

  • Excellent post, Thanks :)

  • Just classic

  • 3:53 - haha

  • The best band I have heard and seen in my lifetime. They are unmatched and it's a shame that radio doesn't play all of their stuff.

  • He is a beautiful man, she's right.

  • Chris Ribinson does not sing 70s rock. He sings what his soul feels. True damn music!

  • Hello Cleveland!!! JK. I am the Bad Luck Blue eyes and about to say good bye. I just know what's right. Wish me Sister Luck.

  • just chill out, skin up and enjoy

  • he looks so much better with a beard

  • For what Chris lacks in looks, he more than 100 fold makes up for in talent and soul!

  • @FunnyGirlFan74 I ,personally, find Chris beautiful. :)

  • @CursedDiamond he's rock n roll beautiful

  • @CursedDiamond Chris is the hottest man in my book! EVER!!!

  • @CursedDiamond Chris is the hottest man in my book! EVER!!! well meant this to post for Funny...

  • ME,TOO!

  • @CursedDiamond That's cuz you don't see with your eyes.

  • @whiskeyamigo I'm going to take that as a compliment, whether it was meant that way or not. :) I've seen him with the Crowes and with his new project, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood...met him twice...and I think he's beautiful...musically, spiritually...the whole package.

  • @CursedDiamond I can't think of a more beautiful creature. It's a thrill for me to just watch his hands, I love his hands.

  • @FunnyGirlFan74 and charisma!!

  • @FunnyGirlFan74 Gotta admit, it's that talent and soul that makes him incredibly attractive to me...

  • @FunnyGirlFan74 I just went to their farewell tour concert that was here in minnesota me and my boyfriend drove 4 hours and it was well worth it. i am so sad they are retiring!! They are one of the only REAL rock and roll bands left! i have always loved their combination of rock ,blues ,and folk!! they are truly one of a kind!!

  • @FunnyGirlFan74 .

    ESTE TEMA ES TREMENDO

  • @FunnyGirlFan74 .

    TREMENDO TEMA

  • Downright scary with the eyeliner and make-up get-up.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! Chris Robinson gives me chills every time...

  • Best live band i have ever seen!

  • to mootle661 - it's from The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion Album

  • @whinermusic because it is?

  • @whinermusic its called the blues. its where all music we love comes from ya dumb ass

  • @whinermusic ....This song was released in 1992. As for your comment...

That's what people during the 70s said about groups who were clearly copying music from the 40s and 50s. You'll catch on, one of these years, maybe.....

  • @whinermusic You obviously have never seen the Crowes live, because you have no idea about what you are talking about.

  • @whinermusic why do people still think that music these days is cool? fuck outta here if you are just gonna hate

  • @whinermusic "So you think that ya seen it all, is that fact? So out ya mouth a dictionary spouts about this and that ..." Sorry man, the Crowes rule.

  • @whinermusic Because it is you fool.

  • frim which album is this one?

  • This song still makes me cry 18 years later!!!

  • What album is this from? great upload by the way

  • This is the ultimate BC song. I love them lyrically and musically.

  • RIP Slav

  • they were at their prime!

  • they were at their prime!

  • true, the black crowes live is the best! they were at their prime here.

  • true, the black crowes live is the best! they were at their prime here.

  • true, the black crowes live is the best!

  • One of the last real rock n roll bands

  • I love this song! Emotionally, it's just perfectly written and recorded. Everything is pitch perfect - especially the guitar!

  • Warpaint and Before the Frost aren't Amorica. No.

  • Maravilhosa essa musica!

  • One of the best albums i have of theirs is Jimmy Paige and the Black Crowes Live at the Greek. It's amazing.

  • ive been into the crowes since the very beginning and have yet to come across something i don't like :)

  • Damn if this song and Melissa Fendell ain't one.

  • The Black Crowes sophomore efforts were by far their best work. The Amorica album was actually neck to neck with this one! What a Great Song!! As for the video; superb!

    M

  • @shinglespringsdawg

I totally agree that Amorcia and this album represent some of their greatest work --but -- you also have to include War Paint and Before the Frost as an equal one-two punch.

They guys get better with age.

  • I love the crowes and so happy to have found their new album! I saw them in concert in NH (where I'm from) and could almost have touched Chris Robinson. LOVE THEM!

  • saw these after moneymaker at the royal court in liverpool 92, went off them after southern harmony (briliant debut, outstanding second album)

  • Good Times and Bad Times!!!!

  • best rock band since free

  • The Crowes where the last generation of rock giants.

  • Man what a song !!!!!! It is refreshing to hear music again and not just noise !!!!!

  • Flowin slow..like a green river

  • Straight from the blues. ~cg5

  • This song reminds some of us old guys that we wont ever fall in love again....but i thank you from the bottom of my sallow, tattered heart

  • I'd like to have some of what he's on !

  • this song is great for getting over a break up. makes you remember the not-so-good part of things so you can move on better....

  • Always will be the most moving feeling when he sings. He takes U to a place where the blues lives in us. Love his way of putting his feelings into a song. Every song they do has that quality. Love those Crows. A W E S O M E in every word.

  • these 4 minutes feel like a lifetime.

i wasn't even born during this time and it penetrates my very soul. i love the black crowes.

  • Πέφτω,

It´s only a song that make me feel I fall in love again...

  • Sometimes a memory

Only sees what it wants to believe

    And what's filled in between

Are days and nights that don't mean a thin...For you, Πέφτω

  • it all starts from here in an empty room and just old memories to pull you through, I lost it that day when you called me to say that you weren't coming back and it took a miracle to take me back to the beginning in the softness of the golden sun

  • wow.

  • The Song!

  • After watching this video more closely, I now realize that this is the one I was looking for afterall! THANKS!!!!

Do you happen to have a better resolution version of it or is this what your original looks like as well? I would be interested in obtaining a better copy if possible! Message me! :)

  • i saw them during this tour, one of the best shows I ever saw to this day.

  • Comment removed

  • Hard to pick a favorite Crowes song, but this is definitely one of the many.

Great show 10-20-09 in El Paso, Tx.

  • This record is one of the ten best of all time, in my opinion. Every song is wonderful, and it all fits together perfectly. One of only a very few disks I will listen to from start to finish and never skip a track.

  • Awesome! I was at this show in the 10th row and the cameras were right in front of us. It was Feb 6, 1993 at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, TX. OldSkaterGuy refers to this show in the previous post. Chris Robinson also got pissed and the audience for playing too rough up front. A bit of a buzz kill but still an awesome show. Thanks for the link!

  • I was at this show as well, except I made my way to the second row! You can vaguely spot me in the video they filmed that night. The belly dancers and the bubbles were awesome! We waited in line ALL night for those free tickets, did you do that as well? They were giving them out at some skateshop in Sharpstown, I think. I am trying to locate the video for this song they filmed that night but can't find it anywhere...

IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO GET A COPY, PLEASE MESSAGE ME, THANKS!!!

  • OF LOVE!!~~

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!!! Black Crowes are awesome!! Beautiful & rockin music!!!!

  • oooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! wow! very nice song!!!! congratulations black crowes!!!!! you kick ass!

  • Thanks for posting. First time I have seen the video. I always loved the song!

  • Never was a huge crows fan but I have always LOVED this song!

  • shit still gives me goosebumps

    i love this band

  • Carajo q pedazo de bandaaaaa

  • Saw these guys last October; basically played the whole Warpaint album save for Jealous Again and Wiser Time.

  • This show was recorded Feb 06, 1993 in Houston, Tx. It was the free show that oldskaterguy mentioned. It was an outstanding concert.

  • Love it!

  • This show was filmed on Feb 06, 1993 in Houston Texas. Fantastic show. It was free because security had screwed up when they played the year before.

  • realy great!

  • This song is so frakking awesome!

  • "Haha I love at 1:26 where he's hitting the cymbal like hell but there is nothing in the song"

    LOL!!! That was hilarious!!

  • love love love this

  • love this

  • I posted a link in the info section above right. :)

  • @CursedDiamond your missin out

  • Which concert was this from?

  • Haha I love at 1:26 where he's hitting the cymbal like hell but there is nothing in the song

  • Seen them about a dozen times. This was my theme song for quite some time.

  • I totally agree...you haven't experienced The Black Crowes in their full glory until you've seen them live!

  • I saw them do a blues cover show in Austin back in the day.

Maybe only played 4 or 5 of their own songs.

Best show I ever saw... I think ;-)

Truly the best live band I have ever had the pleasure of seeing... all 15 or 16 times, never a bad show except in Houston when Chris got pissed off at the security for not letting people dance in isles.. They came back a few months later and gave a free show to make up.... BITCHIN SHOW!

  • Not to bitch too much, but did the second verse have to be left out? My favorite song of all time, just slightly ahead of "Shine a Light." Just sayin'

  • first show was in 93 rochester and those lights and when they came out that show changed my life for ever.seen them 25 times hopefully 25 more.greatest rock voice alltime...

  • this skinny white boy singswith more soul than Aretha Franklin

  • This song reminds me a lot of I Got The Blues,by The Stones.....

  • i always held a special little place for this tune on of the few songs of theirs where chris really has the space to go off.. such a mature song they were just kids when they wrote this... the 03' shows were so raw so radiant my first live show was the crowes in 93 couldnt have made a stronger impact on my life...

  • what a voice!! chris you are my hero.

  • best vocalist ever in blues/rock

  • gorgeous song

  • ill probly sound like an idiot saying this, but, what is the lead singer's name?

  • Chris Robinson (:

  • thanks :)

  • Such a great band - will any other serve Southern Rock any better, I don't think so.

  • bad luck my ass, MURDER

  • Hate the edit, but love the video...might be the only time I've seen Rich smile! ROCK ON, ROCKERS!!!!

    GMD

  • Que buen tema

  • Perhaps my favorite Crowes video.... Its captures every band

    member at their best.

    It's so perfectly synched..

Paying homage to a great band, that to this day, is sorely missed. I felt the love right there!

    Well done.

  • one of the greatest blues riffs of all time

    great band

saw em live at the pageant in st loo...we had some homegrown skunk weed and lit like 10 joints at once...Chris smelled it and made a comment in between songs that it smelled like northern cali ..we were front row,I will never forget that moment in time.

  • 4:20 blows my fuckin mind

  • With most Rock music already created. The Black Crowes are a sound unto their selves.

  • Ever wonder why the Stones and the Faces never acknowleged the Black Crowes as being a great band? That's because at times, they were at least as good, or better. What a great band!
