Landon was a smart dude though, lots of Morphine addiction during that time period with all the legal illixers floating around.

Apparently in the world of Little House, everyone goes blind from Scarlet Fever, and if you get a nosebleed, you will DIE (there was that other episode where the kid is dying of nosebleeds and they go to San Francisco to see the ocean.)

Anyway, as a kid, because of these episodes, I was scared when I got a bloody nose because I thought it meant I might die, just like Albert.......
