I remember when the local dance show "Dancing On Air" on channel 17 in Philly played this song a lot....mainly because Robert Hazzard was from that area.
i used to live in mystic island in the early 80s and would go see them at blondies every time they would come around one of my favorite bands of all times does anybody remember the name of the band with the female lead singer that played there all the time they were great to
Anybody know what year exactly this came out? I 'm pretty sure it was either 82 or 83. Great tune and DEFINITELY a protest tune AGAINST the excess Reagan 1980's. Good stuff.
It came out in 1982. 1 of 5 lp's he released back in the early 80s. And really the only new wave/pop music he did. the rest outside the 5 lps was more country music.
If it's one thing they didn't have to do it's remake this song for national release. Someone should upload a WAV file of it from the old original vinyl EP.
this was a great song, very under rated but a strange video..reminds me of grammer school when things were so simple, not a care in the world....innocents..freedom....great song..
Great song. RIP Robert. What a nice flash back to the 80s in Philly. Oh how I remember him in concert.....what great music. So sad to depart so young.
Definitely one of the best and most underrated songs of the 80s. I loved Philly in the 80s--South Street, Zipperhead, J.C. Dobbs, buying records at 3rd Street Jazz (and Rock).
This song is a classic 80s song and is really cool.I also like it because the message in the song tells how so many people really are in this world:they arent happy until they have it all.Nobody can have it all so they keep going up and up trying to get it all and will never be happy.
Thanks for the video! It is an awesome song that is even further enhanced by the video. Remember living in the suburbs of Philly and going in to Center City to see him, well, Robert Hazard and the Heroes. Them and the Hooters rocked the Philly area for quite awhile. Sure do miss the days when rock n' roll was as good as this.
This is a rare one. Kinda strange video, but what a great song. Too bad Robert never got that big break to become a force on the national music scene. Luckily for those of us here in the Northeast, we had the privledge of enjoying Robert and the Heroes in the local philly area clubs.

Robert was really down to earth - meet him on a few occasions at Blondies in Atlantic City when he was just breaking this with 104.7 FM

Odd thought - this would be a good one to play after an ep of "Sex and the City."

Never seen this one before, and I gotta say that's not quite what I pictured Robert Hazard looking like. Good quality, thanks for uploading.
