I just purchased these speakers at Best Buy. I've read a lot of reviews and it came down to the Harmon Kardon Sound Sticks 3 or these. I had Harmon Kardon speakers in my car and they were really nice, I could turn them all the way up with no distortion. I ended up with the Klipsch after reading a few more better reviews. These speakers are FANTASTIC... Now it's time to play some Armin van Buuren.

OK so i really want speakers that come with a good sub and thats why i was looking into the z2300 but i heard that the satellites werent too good and i heard the klipsch had great satellites but no too good of a sub. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!?! Can anyone help?

i heard that the power button is only in the back of the sub:( do u turn off the power everytime u finish using the computer, or can u just leave the power on...without damaging the speakers?

@lizardonthemoon I have both version of these Promedia speakers. One has a power switch and the other one does not. I opened both to see how they are different electronically and here is what I found out. The newer ones (those that dont have a power switch) doesnt use big power transformers. They use a similar power supply like the ones inside your computer. They have lesser parts than the older ones. I like the newer one.

i have the same speakers and they sound great, very crisp and powerful bass, hooked up to a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional sound card. It dont get any better than that

Very awesome speakers just bought a pair yesterday at Best buy was on sale original price 149.99. I got for 115.99 thats including tax. Man these speakers are nice if you are a bassOholic :)  I recommend to you.

yeah i got them but i brought em back they not worth it cuz when u put the bass higher it distorts reallly badly like really bad nd it just doesnt sound right nd then the satelites are too sharp they make u feel like the music is gonna kill u which to me is a bad thing it wuz no gud at all so i brought it back and got the the x 540 even though no where near to like sum real big system but worth it cuz the bass doesnt distort its loud nd surround sound

well the sattelites are really gud bu ti wouldnt recommend to use wit the speakers cuz the crossover difference nd prob wont sound really gud but if there wuz a way to connect the speakers to the z 2300 like moddin then do it but i really wouldnt recomend it gud luck on wut u want ^___^

Good choice in genre. I hate when people display their speakers playing crap music especially slow ass rap. Dance, trance, techno type music is truly the best way to display a speakers best assets, range, and sound qualities. A+ for Klipsch

ive had this set for over a little 3 years now, and THEY ARE KICKEN! i love them the sound is crisp even when at a blast but some times the bass is so over powering if u have it to high. HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with a nice set of computer speakers

No, the 2.1 is solid. The system you're thinking of is the ProMedia 5.1 and there are indeed well-documented issues that plague that set. There was a design flaw in the 5.1 that caused the amp in the sub to quickly burn out. I used to have the 5.1 and I was no exception. It died on me after a year. I still miss those speakers. If you think the 2.1 is hot you should've heard the 5.1. The Logitech Z-5500 was cheese compared to it in terms of sound quality. It's a shame the 5.1 was flawed.

For my computer i use Dynaudio BM5A monitors. For my main audio system i use Dynaudio Confidence C1's, but it's not even about just speakers, associated electronics are as much or more of a contributor to quality of sound. I'd list off my electronics for that too, but i have a feeling most anyone who would read this isn't really concerned with that.

Bought some Klipsch ProMedia speakers the other day, they sound fucking amazing, very clear tone. I turned them up at about 25%(about a quarter), that was about as loud as I could turn the speakers before it started to hurt my ears.Them sound bright and clear, tweeters play very well in higher volumes,the mids and highs sound great, but is the distortion on the sub is normal. i recommend buy sound card like audigy 2zs or better.

yeah ive had yet to see what full volume is like lol. but at any volume setting, it never sounds like it wants to quick. i love mine. only trouble ive had is the volume knobs wear out and make a noise when u turn them up and off. but i have a warranty so its all good.

they are good speakers not for super loud bass bottoms out easy and dosnt go very low only like a 6".. overall good speakers for a computer tho
