  • its like evry one is playing catch and ther all happy well becides the puffer fish

  • Did you know that puffer fish can only "puff up" a few times before they die?

Not surprised considering that your body expands 3 or 4 times its original size.

  • @Nanovirus5995 I'd be surprised if that's true, because it doesn't make much sense to me.

  • @MsHojat finally, smart one

  • @Nanovirus5995 your an idiot

  • Porcupine fish, or diodon, is actually also a pufferfish (family of tetraodontidae) just like arothron, ostracion and canthigaster... It"s a saltwater pufferfish.

  • @kamailable nerd

  • @seapornography maybe... or just the fact that I used to have a job "linked" to the sea for a few years... Love those fishes

  • @seapornography And I actually made a mistake, Diodon (porcupine fish) is a part of Diodontidea family and not tetraodontidae, but it is a puffer fish as well

  • Kamehameha Fish

  • I wonder how those things taste grilled?

  • Is that guy scuba diving in a polo shirt?

  • @apocalypse7011 no way, he was in a t-shirt idiot

  • I want to hold a puffed up fish in my hand :D

  • the porcupinefish looks like a pokeball...

  • it's like a ball!!!! it's really cool thanks!

  • @ mr.Winniethepoop. My PADI course taught me how to dive safely and some very basics on ocean life. In no way did it teach on how many times the puffer can puff in it's life time. Bottom line is, it's a god given defense mechanism the fish uses to avoid being eaten and to appear bigger to potential threats it dose not come with a limit on use. The only danger that comes to the fish is it's lack of maneuverability as seen in the video.

  • @bytheway0416 another one of those smarties

  • whats the point of putting music that would be suitable for paranormal activity :P

  • @sitstandnow I agree with you man

  • cute

  • I'm interested in these amazing creatures, and I didn't realise they are not the same animal. I am a little concirned about handling them though. They puffed, which is a sign that they were stressed, which was probably caused but handeling them. Also, they can be dangerous if agetated.

  • @jleer1

It's a natural defense response to the presense of a possible predator, it's not like it's harming them to do it.

In the wild they probably puff up several times a day.

  • Nice video,thanks for sharing.

  • that wasn't anything vs anything

  • FINALLY SOMEONE WHO DOES SQUEEZE THE SHIT OUTTA IT! Good job :]

  • @NeverCryBaby THATS WHAT SHE SAID =)

  • Why are you scuba diving with all your clothes on?...

  • @Talfs do you want them off?

  • leave it alone you stupid stupid woman, I hope you read this

  • you know, if one of those things bites you, you are in deep shit...

  • You fools. They should take away your diving license. It is just plain stupid to touch anything under water just for fun.

  • stupoid fool puffers can only puff up 7-9 times in their life u fool have just made their life shorter. Im a advanced PADI diver so i know what im talking about.

  • @MrWinnethepooh72 Funny I've never heard that and in trying to look up to see if it is true or not I found no source to prove it, so i think your full of it. No offense

  • @MrWinnethepooh72 what a genius, your an idiot obviously, a padi license, lol

  • @MrWinnethepooh72 what a genius, your an idiot obviously, a padi license, lol

  • @MrWinnethepooh72 what a genius, your an idiot obviously, a padi license, lol

  • You are risking the puffer of having a heart attack, what is wrong with you?

  • @Candyann22 why are you watching, whats wrong with you?

  • You're an idiot. I'm a dive master (its a qualification, not what I call myself), but from that I know that most pufferfish can only puff around 7-8 times before their heart gives up and they die. This is because it puts massive pressure on their heart every time they 'puff up', which they therefore only do in extremely threating situations. Well done.

  • @sammyboyman12333 I'm a padi guy and I know stuff... jesus

  • Cutest fish ever! I love it's itty bitty fins flapping as fast as they can.

  • When I see the Porcupinefish I think of Eric Cartman.

  • @Theeggsmasher lol!!!!

  • do you have any idea how much that stresses out a fish?

  • @KeoV22 do you?

  • 0:05 I saw the fish and immediately thought, "That's totally what a mirror!verse tribble would look like!"

    Lol, I'm such a geek.

  • Stop srewing the pufferfish you guys are ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leave them alone! You dont have a life!

  • @arycate Thats what she said.

  • thumbs up if u think that porcupine fishes r cooler!

  • what shit fucking scuba divers.

  • @boihaggos1 what a shit fucking useless blurb

  • i knew before watching that the person messing with puffers would be japanese.

  • I would be SO pissed if someone kept grabbing me and spinning me around! XD No wonder he's puffed up!

  • are you diving with casual clothes??

  • Its good that you were gentle with them

  • @Crazychica3211 thats what she said

  • The porcupine fish looked soo pissed off. XD

  • The puffer is is distress !!

  • @FULLOOKKK really?

  • great video

  • at the end ..divin in style

  • @seapornography hey you should have said that it doesnt mean it has to be fish, just underwater.

  • lol they re so freindly!!and cute!!!

  • @seapornography Well it is amazing. I hope you make lots of videos. =)

  • @FFAfish

No, it's not precisely "last ditch" if they do it when they're startled, mildly annoyed, defending territory, or any situation where they don't appear about to get immediately eaten. I have friends who keep puffers who've said they've seen their fish doing it for fun. That kind of observed behavior combined with the fact there's no scholarly research supporting the idea it's the "equivalent of a heart attack" for a puffer makes me very dubious.

  • @FFAfish

You know, I'm only seeing two sources for that on googling, neither of them scholastic articles.

Calling urban legend on this. Doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense for a defense mechanism to have that kind of stress load on the body. I'll accept "it's stressful" but not "it's so stressful it's like going into cardiac arrest".

  • @tesseractseraph correct! I like you

  • Do you do this for a living? How do you make a living off it and how can somebody who loves the oceans get into it?

  • @jimbobanalbeats what are you talking about

  • @seapornography how the fuck should I know? You are responding to a comment I made on a video I watched at least a year ago.

  • nice fishes but you should just let them be:/

  • when i was snorkeling in hawaii i got bit by a pufferfish.........it hurt real bad

  • @seapornography

Well I don't know if pufferfish like being handled... I don't really know why I wrote that. It was 7 months ago :P

  • LMFAO you were scuba diving in normal shorts and a polo shirt?! ahahaha

  • @941254 another idiot, would you have liked her to be in a skirt

  • this reminds me of finding nemo when he puffs up and just floats off

  • volleyball anyone?

  • thats really cool. cant thoes things kill people?

  • @hockeydude0988 If you eat the wrong parts, you could get badly poisoned. They can't directly harm people though unless you manage to get stuck with one of their spines.

  • @hockeydude0988 Only if you eat the wrong parts.

  • lol. its kinda cute!

  • @seapornography what does this mean: "not true confuse pipol comment your.." -- those were your words. if ur japanese where did you come up with "comprende ese?" -- what there's a lot of Mexican Mafia in Japan? Shuttup stupid. We know you're pretending to be a jap and making fun of them in the process. You're a stupid Nazi.

  • @seapornography

How excellent of you to try resorting to petty insults.

  • @seapornography you don't sound too smart, sorry. Damn foreigner.

  • oh i see, pufferfish dont really have spike

  • hehe. you can see the pufferfishes bumhole.....>easily amused<

  • The face on that first puffer is beyond adorable. <3

  • "Thus muthufucka, if he don't lay his hands off me I'm gonna woop his Abercrombie-wearin' ass!" Exclaimed the porcupine fish. 0:23

  • @seapornography what the fuck did you just say?

  • maybe cute little babys bu is cutys ov deth

  • fat fatt fatty fat fatty fish

  • Since you have to eat one to be killed by it's poison I'd be more worried about one clamping down on my finger (they have really strong beak thingies).

  • whats music?

  • @PSNgregiskool blur

  • Arent those very fucking dangerous??

  • lol....puffer fish is a funny name :D

  • I hate this ridiculous song

  • @Star2000s Its scary :(

  • WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!, i luv that oldschool song,

  • Song- Blur- Wohooo

  • @junmin333 "Song 2", actually.

  • i hate puffer fish when they eat your bait when your fishing :(

  • Nice video! Gotta love the puffer fish in it.

    They're so adorable yet deadly!

  • if u didn't have those gloves on, that spine would release a neurotoxin which would've killed you in minutes.

  • Porcupine Fish venom is quite... 'mild', I suppose you could say, in most cases.

Pain or numbness, swelling, vomiting, nausea. Rarely death.

  • i could play volly ball wit dis thing!!!!!:)

  • @jjbigblock thats what she said

  • I hope Japan gets totally drowned by a giant tsunami or something.

They have so little respect for nature - especially the sea! They kill whales, fin sharks for a damn snack, and here they are torturing a puffer for their own amusement. Not cool.

Enjoy my boycott of you, Japan.

  • Sadly , but that just nature, so grow up !

  • Actually I think Western countries are much worse at respecting nature. The Japanese have more respect for nature than Western countries ever did. Western countries still don't understand the point of respecting nature and it certainly shows.

Also, hope you don't ever plan on buying a cellphone, Tv, or any electronics device. Oh wait..you're computer is probably Japanese made or designed. Good luck with that boycott.

  • My mobile is Canadian, my computer is American designed and built and I use an open source OS.

I'll buy TVs, etc. from South Korea, America or Canada, Britain, France, Italy, hell even the Czech Republic. Just not Japan.

Oh, and I certainly never said the Western world has any bragging rights per se regarding respecting nature.

I'm not trying to change your mind. You'd have to have a mind in order for it to be changed.

  • Comment removed

  • "Thanks to the documentary film 'The Cove', our eyes have been opened to the brutal massacring of dolphins in Japan - by Japanese fishermen.

That's not exactly respecting nature, is it?"

  • Well we kill cows and chickens. FUCK YOU WHALE, AND FUCKA YOU DOLPHINN!!!!

  • what song name ????

  • song 2 by blur

  • name of song?

    and nice vid
