Colt was in our game plan, Gilbert was not, so we were running a lot of short coverage plays like cover 2 playsets, which allowed Shipley to get wide on a couple of passes. man, if we would've won that game, that might have been the worst offensive line to ever win a national title. Other fellow Longhorns need to stop complaining, it was a great game in the end, Bama had a tremendous team with easily the best 2 running backs in the nation. I wish Colt didn't get hurt so it could've been the shootout like planned, but still congrats to Bama. One- Bama didn't WHIP Texas. The last touchdown to make it 37-21 was unecessary and happened in the final minute of the game, so if Saban had sportsmanship, he would have kneed it and the scoree would be 30- 21 instead of making it look lopsided.
Two- You cannot say that Colt McCoy's absence had NOTHING to do with that loss. Texas' whole offensive gameplan was centred around him, so when Gilbert had to take over, he wasn't comfertable with that style of offense

I like how everyone who hates the SEC because they always win says that if Colt McCoy would have stayed in, then Texas would have won. One problem, Alabama has something that few teams have. They know how to win. They don't always make it pretty, but they get the job done. If Tebow couldn't stop them, McCoy couldn't.

Why won't people stop arguing and just live with the fact the the better team won? It's been proven time and time again that whoever runs the ball more effectively usually wins games, and Texas has no ground game. I hate that McCoy got hurt, and I'm sure it would have been a different ball game with him in it, but i honestly believe Bama would have still won. If Texas had a running game, they would have had a much better shot. Just live with it, it's over and done with.

haha i love how Texas fans are saying they would have won... i guess they are to stupid to realize alabama ran the ball every play but two in the third quarter to run the clock. Wow, you really think thats what we were planning on doing before your team, AKA Colt got hurt? hahaha right! We knew they couldnt come ALL the way back on our D so we ran clock and it worked out great! So much for that "#1 rush defense" that gave 100 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns... to 2 DIFFERENT PLAYERS!! What a joke

@redbull21monster well aparently i must correct your funny ass ignorance. #1 ingram had 183 yards he SPLIT with Richardson who also broke 100 #2 TEXAS only allowed 63.8 yards a game RUNNING. #3 McElroy (alabama's QB) had BROKEN RIBS that game but still played and did puss out like Colt did. Oh well and guess what if Alabama would have played Nebraska Alabama would have won cuz Nebraska couldn't even beat Texas so just face it the Best team in the nation won.

Big 12 officials never had to apologize to the losing team for making a game altering wrong call. SEC officials had to twice after Alabama games.
