"No, Fuck You, Mark!" ha ha ha Great story. i saw Eitzel with American Music Club in Chicago. such a great band deserving of so much more recognition...
I absolutely adore Mark Eitzel and I'm very glad I've been fortunate enough to meet in person not once but three consecutive times. He's an absolute genious and I love him very, very dearly.
Great clip - I saw Eitzel on tour earlier this year and he was in the best form I have seen for years. He played this but did it as 'Robbie Williams' Feet' as he thought maybe younger audience members were too young to understand the relevance of Johnny Mathis! - What's so great about him is that when he is not signing some of the most heart wrenching songs ever written, he is self deprecating and very funny. Thanks for the upload.
Lived and am living in SF as Mark and AMC were coming up, and after not listening for a while and hearing this, I feel what i always felt...every friend that didn't dig or get it are truly missing out on a true gut wrenching pop master. Living elastic beautiful soul. If you don't get it, too bad for you.
So very "eitzel-ish" this performance! Saw him recently over here in Germany, and that is "so him"!!! A very underrated performer. 4ever in love w/him. Kiss***
I am sitting here realizing I have seen every significant performer and artist live, that has touched me, and I've listened to and been in love with AMC and Eitzel for 16 years; yet I've never seen him. He's never been close to where I was geographicaly. Heartbreak.
<< I lay all my songs at Johnny Mathis' feet. I said, "Johnny tell me, Can you tell me how to live?
All my hopes are unraveling and I just lost my lease, On my house without love, doors, or windows, Without peace." >>
One of the 3 most beautifull songs ever heard. Why does his voice makes me SO happy-sad? I DO love this song... So much... Since so long... Thanks for posting :-) Love from Belgium: glamstrass*

Met the guy in Paradiso Amsterdam after an American Music Club concert. Such a nice, beautiful, funny person.

I saw Mark Eitzel give the most embarassing toe-curlingly precious and sanctimonious performance I have ever seen outside of an open mic.
