@FOSRone FIA limits the engine size in order to keep power from being so ridiculous that its dangerous. Up until the mid-'00s the engines where getting out of hand
Okay, 06-07 is indeed V10. But the sound in the first minutes is unmistakenly the Ferrari 412T2 V12 engine. Last they ever did in the 2005 season. V10 doesn't even scream close to this.
It's a V12 in my opinion and you can hear it's a 90's F1 with the sounds of the gearbox especially when downshifting. You can hear the breaks sound slightly different than 2000's F1.
Incredible sound. That's music. I got some tears in my eyes, because i remember to the beautyful times of F1 (STFU Berni for what you making with the F1).
F60 have totally different engine. it's street legal car. F1 bolids is only legal on track. yes f1 now have 2.4L v8 750hp, but F60 have about 6L and V12 with 650whp.
I wish I could. The only Minidiscrecorder I have is that one Sony portable machine (MD-Walkman MZ1). The small magnet inside, the one that holds the disc in place during playing, has broken off. And once I get it working again, how do I get that sound into my PC to record and store it? I don't have the cables nor the software.....{-(
You have to find a way, I'd literally pay to hear more of these engines... I saw a '91 F1 ferrari on track a few years back, those 3.5L V12s are without a doubt the absolute best sounding racing engines of all time. The Matras and the 2000-2001 Mercedes V10s are close, but this just takes the cake.
These are sounds from 1994. I was at Spa and Nurnburgring in those years. I bought this CD in 1995, the sounds you hear now were recorded in 1994. My own recordings actually sound better because I made a master recording on a very good MiniDisc using a Sennheiser SKM-66 stereo microphone. When I plug it into my High-End stereo system it almost sounds as though I am there again...!!! Both the high pitch sounds as well as the deep rumble was recorded perfectly, Almost blew up my speakers..! ;-)
For a rookie to get where he is in his first yr takes a lot of skill, and he would have won it if not for the shit they were throwing at him...he's a legend in the making and there isn't any like him out there rite now.
I just like fernando help and teach him to drive and master these f1 cars, fernando was the teacher, hamilton the learner, Well right now kimi raikkonen should have 3 world championships, if it wasnt for this shitbox mclaren breaking every 5 minutes....
Dude i honestly don't know how ur above comments relate to Hamilton not being the best, and how could fernando teach Hamilton when he was clearly kicking his ass...seriously think up ur replies before posting them.
WOOT! 50 000 views, if only bernie and max could listen to this music, and read your comments. I want F1 to scare me like it did when I was a kid back in Adelaide the cars were ALIVE, like beasts screaming to get out.....atleast we have the memories.
Brings tears to my eyes....! Just unbelievable sound! Nothing else in the motoring world can compare to it. Just mechanical music of 12 cylinders of Maranello Magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111
Early 90's F1 was so much better than current F1, I can't even watch the new races anymore. Now everyone is forced to run the same 2.4L V8, with a REV LIMITER, and they're not even allowed to develop the engine. Now the cars have wood planks on the bottom so no more cool sparks down the straights. the sound at 3:08 was the first time i ever heard a formula 1 in real life when i was down in melbourne this year. im sitting here shaking with tears coming out of my eyes... love it
V-12 died on their own. Too much weight, power of V-10 could match and demolish V-12 on overall lap times. V-10 became too powerful, getting close to 1000 HP. Toyota had plans for a V-12 but that was capped by FISA stating that engines could not exceed 10 cylinders.
Great video. Or shal I say, great sound. I actually recognise the some of the sound from an other videoclip here, except this one is of much better quality. My only complaint though is that the pictures except from the last one don't have much to do with the sound. I think putting in the sound over a slideshow of Ferrari 640s, 641s, 642s etc, would be more appropriate, but hey, great video anyway...
Cheers, yeah I know what your saying about the pics but there is already another video with all the old school f1 ferrari's, this is just a slideshow of my photos from the melbourne gp, something to remember my holiday by. Its still an F1 sound and they're F1 pics.
Max Mosely would be smart to bring those engines back.
The 'sound' is the full version, and dosen't have an echo effect on it like the other video does. Thanks for your feedback
