  • Does anybody remember Prince ! LoL

  • Stevies singing is just amazing!

  • Just some clarifications: sure, it's true this is the intro to "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", the album in which you can find it is called "Live & Alive" and it has been exclusively recorded in its live rendition @ the Rainbow Teather on 1973.

  • ould anyone work out the chords for this?

  • 歌名是什麼?

  • This is "Perfect Angel", a sing that he wrote for the late Minnie Ripperton to sing on one of her albums.

  • Reverb's hard

  • Different league int he lol!

  • God this sounds so good!

  • @RunningBearStudios (

I always said that Stevie was the greatest song creator ever and Mike was the greatest performer ever but they are not to far behind in each category that they are not first at.

  • Stevie Wonder is a musical genius! ;)

  • That is a fender rhodes with the vibrato switch turned on. As for the song, it's Perfect Angel, which he wrote for the great Minnie Riperton back in 1973. You can find her album with the same name.

  • could somebody tell me what kind of piano this is? I love it. I'm assuming its some kind of fender rhodes with an effect on it. The keys sound really touch sensitive. What is it?

  • To the Michael Jackson Fan...U haven't realized yet??? Michael Jackson ripped off all of his licks from Stevie. Michael Jackson couldn't walk in the class of sunshine with Stevie. Peace.& Chicken grease.

  • not so. Michael has his own style, he was just as influenced by James Brown and a number of others. You could do the same disparreging attack on Stevie and say he was in Ray Charles's shadow, it wouldn't be any more or less true. MJ made some great work also.

for everyone else, the song is "Perfect Angel" that Stevie wrote for Minnie Riperton, it was her biggest hit I believe.

  • I think she is better known for "Loving You" although I love "Perfect Angel".

  • MJ is the biggest aritst in music history if you like it or not!I love Stevie too,he is amazing!!

  • @eutuxiaMJ I know I'm speaking for myself, but Michael Jackson was the greatest live/stage performer that ever lived & the King of Music Videos. I will even give him the "King of Pop" title, MJ was God-Given for sure! Stevie Wonder is the greatest singer/songwriter,producer,arranger,multi-instrumentalist,civil & human rights activist, humanitarian ever! Stevie is also the official UN Messenger of Peace. Stevie Wonder is a Godlike Entity, his music is cosmic!

  • @mrinnervisionz Michael was the greatest singer/songwriter,producer,dancer,performer,he was playing piano, drums, guitar,he was the most talented man on earth, and i also bealive the same for Stevie Wonder,i love them both!so much!

  • @eutuxiaMJ As much as I love Michael Jackson & have been a fan of his 4ever,Michael can tinker out a few notes on the piano,& strum a few chords on the guitar. Michael could not play instruments,as for his songwriting,it's pretty damn good, but Stevie Wonder has everybody faded in that catagory. If we call Michael the "KING OF POP" (and rightfully so), Stevie Wonder is God!

  • @mrinnervisionz i think you have no idea about Michael,but it's ok.They are so talented,and that's all.But Michael is other thing..i'm sorry..

  • @eutuxiaMJ LMAO, I bet you a dime to a bottle of piss I know me some Michael Jackson! I don't know how old you are,but i've been a Jackson,Prince,Eldra DeBarge,Earth,Wind, & Fire,Parliament / Bootsy,Minnie Ripperton fan for many many years. I also play a few instruments of my own,as well sing & write songs. Anywho, although I don't idolize MJ like i do Stevie Wonder & Rick James, i am a huge fan.

  • @mrinnervisionz i'm 20 years old,i play piano and i sing,i love Minnie Rimperton also, she is amazing. You idolize Stevie and Rick James,i idolize Michael and Stevie, but i love Michael more and i like him more, musicaly Stevie ofcourse is better, couse Michael's music is pop,he wanted to be loved.ou idolize Stevie and Rick James,i idolize Michael and Stevie. That's all.

  • @eutuxiaMJ Cool, then we both are Michael Jackson fans,so no need for us to argue or anything. I was just pointing out the fact that Michael cannot plat instruments, hell he did'nt have to,his singing, dancing, & songwriting was tight! I was not dissin MJ,but we have to be as accurate as can be,when we comment about people. Anywayz,we are coming up on 1 year since his passing, let's show the biased media how much we loved MJ

  • @mrinnervisionz well,he can play instruments, anyway, yes,we have to,i hate tabloids, the press etc,i want him back,i miss him so much :(,oh i'll see Stevie in London this summer!26th June! <3

  • Wonderfull song, "perfect angel" and perfect Stevie

  • Does anybody know the chords of "Perfect Angel"? Would love to play it on piano and guitar. Thanks!

  • very nice!!

  • efiiiiii I LOVE MJ LOL

  • Yes Michael Jackon is LEGEND!I'll love him forever!!The best!!

  • The song is "Perfect angel", as they say below

  • I have this album. This isn't a song. Its a Prelude to, "You are the Sunshine of my Life"..

    July 4th 1973

  • Yeah I know lol

  • Stevie is the master!

  • That is amazing.

  • yes, i should really remaster the whole show.

  • Or at least this song. It's a diamond.

  • This is "Perfect Angel" Stevie wrote for the late and great Mini Ripperton

  • I love Perfect Angel. I should have known Stevie wrote it

  • Si tratta di Perfect Angel(tributo a Minnie Riperton)...This is Perfect Angel

  • This is the intro to "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" on the live album, Live at the Rainbow Theatre. It's a live album recorded in 1974, but it was never released.

  • I GOT THE ALBUM

  • yes it is, but that bootleg has feedback and stereo problems, which is why i labeled this as a re-premier...

  • Thanks for posting this video!

By the way the lyrics (I think) go like that: ...Fooling impossibility...

  • I can tell he played this song in 1975 live in New York City. He started with this intro, and continued with an instrumental break. He ended up singing "you are the sunshine of my life". Great artist! I will post a vid of the performance in NYC soon.

  • These are the lyrics to a song Stevie would go on to produce for Minnie Riperton entitled "Perfect Angel" in 1974...It's cool to hear him sing it. Thanks for posting it!

  • Oh, Thanks for the info, I guess he "tested" it live.

am i right to think minnie was singing backup in wonderlove ?

  • Yes Minnie Riperton as well as Angela Winbush and Deniece Williams were all apart of Wonderlove.

  • Hey, I saw Stevie live last night in Atlanta...3 hours of musical amazement !!!
