I am 49 yrs old and have been to the circus once in my lifetime. I'll never go again, and neither does my family. I encourage people not to go because of the animal cruelty. I have had several friends go anyway, but then call to let me know they will never go again after things they witnessed. If they want to have a circus, thats fine, but leave the animals out of it!

My parents had never been to a circus NOT even once before they took me for the first time. I'll never forget my first circus experience. We had a "backstage fun pass" and we witnessed the trainers abusing two zebras and I sat through the entire show in tears as I watched the lion handler smacking them in the face with his stick. My parents were also disgusted and I've never been to another circus since, and I will NEVER take my children (when I have them) to one.

I can't stand this. I never liked the circus even as a child, my parents couldn't understand it. And now as an adult & knowing what I do now, I'll never take any child or visit the circus that keeps captive animals for human entertainment. If you enjoy the circus I urge you to go see Cirque de Soleil.

my children and i sat down to watch this, I am teaching them at a young age about why we dont ever go to a circus. You should all do the same. As hard as it is for us adults to watch, my 9 and 11 y/o's watched as well.

there are plenty of circus's that do not harm their animals. Animal cruelty in the circus was a thing of the past and no longer takes place. The U.S.D.A makes visits often to make sure that the animals are well taken care of. There are plenty circus shows that you could go see that do not use animals, but have wonderful performers. Why attack the circus in general?
