The plywood is DELAMINATED, not ROTTED!! Get your facts straight.

Whatever you call it, it's not a good thing. My problem with it was that this was the only part of my renovations I contracted out and I was willing to pay for new wood but I wasn't even told it was bad. It was just covered over.
