@21leonel21 You should know that I use a variety of troop compositions. I always do different types of armies. That's why I'm so flexible at this game, and that's why I'm so comfortable winning with nearly any type of army.

When PoM explained about Huntsman deploying his troops close the the border as a tactical mistake, I thought to myself; if I were in a Grand Campaign battle against an unbeatable, enemy force, deploying as close to the border as possible would be exactly what I'd do. Then I'd deliberately make my troops rout ASAP, and they'd run across the border, a lot sooner then if they were fighting in the middle. Therefore, I'd have as many troops as possible to fight another day.

@PrinceofMacedon what about the in game playing, the new R2TW will probably have graffics that are better than shugon, and like shugon the units will be balanced, i.e,in this RTW you can't defeat macedon with the greek cities, and you almost can't defeat Rome with Gaul, in the new one all factions will probably be as good as each other, with each faction retaining an advantage over other factions, meaning the game tactics will change and some factions will be weaker or stronger

I had the archer problem once:

I put cav especially to guard the archers so he doesn't attack.

Put all of them on a hill.

And then I hid them so it will be a death trap for his cav.

Then I forgot about it.

He didn't see my cav so wasn't afraid and I didn't see him. coming up.

Lost 3 of my 5 archers on one damn cav unit...

I don't think this would have happened in RL though-

"Hey, should we slaughter those light cav or see our archers die"

"Wheres the popcorn, this is going to be good!"
