Why do people have such problem with accents? If your native language is other than English obviously you will have an accent. Ridiculing people of their accents is just another way of trying to make your petty little life better. In fact, you are digging a deeper hole for yourself.

@tutor1006 - Accents are important because it enables learners to grasp the in-depth sounds of a natural language as close to a native's as much as possible. I know exactly what the problem of accents can cause. I am currently studying Japanese as a 2nd language and if the accent is wrong, I will not learn from that teacher. I want to learn the 'natural' language not some messed up accent-changing unnatural alteration. ^^
