  • add cameraz :D

  • could you use this same hardware for larger motors?

  • @BEAVERHUNT40 All motor drivers have their current/voltage ratings. If your motor is 'larger', you may need a more capable motor driver. You can use the same microcontroller regardless of motor size. See my site/forum for more help.

  • Cuz i feel like it

  • cool project!

  • nice job. where can i find the dual motor driver?

  • @alexorfa1 dimensionengineering

  • the hyper terminal is only for the bluetooth? and the programm for moving the rc tank is in the axon website or you can sent it to me .

  • @alexorfa1 hyperterminal can be used for any communication device that accesses a COM port. If it has USB, you can use hyperterminal for it. The program I used is on the site for downloading.

  • that was awesome!! make more robots and ill sub u!!!

  • I WANT TO BUY one of those bluetooth modules in trinidad where should i look !!!!!

  • @cnks1 online stores . . .

  • osum...dude....i'll need ur help in my vacations....^^

  • Where get axon in Czech Republic ?

  • @RecordsHyper I ship internationally.

  • perfect with built in camera.. bluetooth powered.. nice to go on spy.. or to checek anything.. ^_^ good job!

  • Heh, heh, cause I feel like it.

  • Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial?

Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO

Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?

Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?

Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?

Remember when the users controlled the site and now corporations?

    WE MISS THE OLD YOUTUBE!

Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!

Thumbs up to keep at the top of the page!

  • wow it's small idea and easy but final you make good small car

  • hey where did you get that axon ? Anywhere i can get it..like ebay?

  • @360Browser It's sold at societyofrobots .DoT. com

  • what bluetooth module are you using? cheers.

  • @L4WR4H sparkfun bluesmirf

  • If you attached a Rangefinder, what would the robot do.

  • @trilokkanna Depends on what I program it to do lol . . .

  • "Just cause I feel like it my boot

  • Its Ziptie and Hybrid

  • who is on i need someone to talk to

  • which holes on the bluetooth module are for negative and positive

  • @anshulsanam They are all labeled, and the datasheet will also say.

  • what type of wire is used to plug the battery pack into the axon

    thanks

  • @turtleD90 stranded 22 gauge

  • could you use a zigbee in place of the bluetooth

  • @KnightSKill yeap

  • can you use the saber tooth for four motors like two in each motor port

  • @dracorabbid yes

  • yeah but motor are faster . what type of motor are in that toys???

dc motors?and how can i plug them in the motor driver?

  • @ibm322 did i need y cable?

  • @ibm322 Servos *are* motors. The difference is that servos have a built in gearbox and motor driver. To use a motor for a robot, you'd have to add your own gearbox and motor driver.

Go to my forum for more help.

  • if i want to make my own where did you bought this toy??

can i make it without this toy (i can make a plastic sheet with 4 wheel)

last question :p can i put modify servos or i really need to put motors?

thank you very much to ask all my question if my science teacher was like you it will be awesome!!

  • @ibm322 You can use any RC toy. You won't need a motor driver if you use servos. Servos are easier and cheaper to use.

  • @palmisano yeah but motor are faster . what type of motor are in that toys???

dc motors?and how can i plug them in the motor driver?

how can i control servo via a computer

exemple:i press ''N'' and servo plugged in chanel 1 goin to 30 degres chanel 20 degre?

  • thats fuckin awesome....but how did u set the robots blue tooth up 2 ur computer.....ima noob jus getting into this shit

  • @MrThndrpmkn Just see my website for the bluetooth tutorial.

  • @palmisano Great video and website, can you tell me how long you learnt Electronics? How old are you as I presume this is very Advance project? I love to learn more, I want to make a lego car with motor and photo resistor you put a lazer and the car moves, do you have any schematic for me?

  • @cristoretornebiblia I started learning engineering in 2000, and built my first robot in 2001. I'm 28 now. If you follow the instructions and code I wrote, even a beginner can build the above robot no problem. Just see the forum on my website for more help.

  • @palmisano Thanks for your comment buddy, you sure know plenty in those 10 years. Can you tell me is the Arduino DUEMILANOVE good for a beginner like me? I want to connect a servo motor to it via usb and control the motor from my keyboard is that possible? Your website is helpful

  • @cristoretornebiblia The Arduino is very popular among beginners because it is cheap and common, and a beginner wouldn't know how few features it actually really has =P

The Roboduino and Axon are both easier to use, albeit more expensive. Hey, you get what you pay for =P

  • @palmisano I watched all your vids, what is your occupation? I take it you work in electronics? At this stage im just learning and only using a breadboard, Im working on a 555 and pwm motor with poteniometer. I spend about 4 hours a week on electronics

  • @cristoretornebiblia I'm a robotics engineer by profession. A 555 is really old technology, just skip it and go straight to microcontrollers. And I recommend joining the forum on my site. =P

  • @palmisano Interesting comment, I didnt know 555 was old technology, I was told to learn that first so Im trying to use it on a breadboard. But yea I might skip it as you said and go to microcontrollers. I will see you on the other side in the forum.

PS When you say robotics engineer you design robots that are used in factories? is that Mechatronics

  • @cristoretornebiblia Nah, I do robotics research for science. Mechatronics is the combination of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

  • @palmisano What does robitics research for science involve? What university course did you complete for this career? So you advise me to just begin with learning Microcontrollers? I will buy an Arduino Dum model as I learnt that is the good starting point.

  • @cristoretornebiblia We build robots to advance the science of robots. I went to CMU. Just use the forum for robot help, lots of people there.

  • wow you very good!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is exactly what i was looking for for the last few months. Thank you very much for making this video. Keep up the good work

  • attach them a video camera and will be great

  • oh no, hypersquirrel flipper!

  • Me and my friend opend a dinosoar and took out the crets chard and took out all the wiers but we dont know how to get the car running

  • it is a cool robot bot how do you make a robot?

  • You go to my website and start reading =P

  • I enjoy your tutorials! keep posting!

  • Cute new laptop

  • ehhh its almost 4 years old =P

Inspiron 9400, but the harddrive and RAM are new!

  • And I was just about to send you an email with a link to this video - you saved me 2 minutes! lol

  • is that hypersquirrel? D:

The new axon looks wicked !

  • Yeap, you recognized it! It was sitting in a box for years, along with a Sabertooth I got but never used. I did the whole thing in like ~3 hours, and only for this video. Back in the box it goes!

  • You make it seem so simple! I've been looking into building a robot myself, nothing ever worked like it should. lol.

  • I made the video to show how simple it is! It requires a little thinking during programming, so thats why I have tons of free demo software you can download.
