when i bought my first core 2 duo processor it was sooo great that time now ive got the Core i7 XDD and damnn i love it XD gave the core 2 duo with 8600GT 1GB to my sis she doesnt play hard games she uses it for multimedia and its great for her XD

if desktops are gonna be sold with more and more ram were going to need to implement the gigabyte IRAM with battery backup concept onto motherboards and use software ramdisks with that

the system only needs 800MB ram you could make a 5GB ram disk with the rest.

cuz like i said more than 2GB on a windows your pc and your looking for trouble.

if desktops are gonna be sold with more ram Microsoft should make their own ram-disk built in to windows with the page-file already assigned to it at install.  Allowing the page file and swap to be isolated on a software ram-disk will eliminate the pc bottleneck

the system only needs 800MB ram for the system! you can make a 6GB ram disk with the rest.

this way we can keep HDDs and we can still buy video-cards and cpus that we can overclock or under-clock but without the friggen bottleneck

dont make cpus over 50 watts or at least let people easily be able to adjust the power their cpus are gonna use down to a min of at LEAST 45w from a 130w cpu without needing a cmos reset

DONT put more than 2 gigs of ram (if your not using a ramdisk to assign ram to it) in your machine, it makes the pc prone to crashes and destabilization you only need around

1GB for the system the rest is bad news

im all for making a healthy profit in a company but not at the expense of selling products that get lousier and lousier i care bout customer satisfaction and id take pride on selling good products, cpus over 40watts, more than 2GB in a pc, and DDR3 are big mistakes, going upwards in power and frequency.for the sake sales is unsustainable.

Wrong, Most video games require at least 2 GB of RAM, if you have Vista it's 3GB, if you have 64-bit you need to have 6GB or you won't be running as fast as you can. Your friend obviously did something wrong, like overclock it to 9001 GHZ.

dude the only thing more ram does is use more power as it fills up, massive caching of a pagefile is useless, and ram uses 56 watts per gigabyte used, "use to be 10 watts per 128 mb chip" more ram does not make a pc faster
