Knowing that Romancing Saga 2 is a remake of a Snes game, it makes the more recent remakes such as the FF4 one on the DS feel nothing short of lazy. (By which I mean the transitions from 2D to 3D remakes)

@dracon204 Cuz she has the hardest opening and if you want to complete her intro by ER 2 to unlock some story events you should wait till you get Darque ( that's how I like to do it ).Basically,she's ruthless in combat and great for a solo playthrough,but since she has to fight so friggin much you'll probably end up missing some pretty important quests.Also,her unique quest is...kinda weird.

What weapons are good for her? So far, in Albert's Quest, I experimented with hand axes and 2-handed swords...

@dracon204 2-handed swords are OK,but she can Babe Ruth anyone with a 2-handed axe.As long as you don't give her a bow or make her your mage,you should be fine.PS this vid is turning into a major walkthrough...

Too right about that. I restarted Albert's Story... currently I have him using a foil, but since he's stronger than most of the monsters, it's tough to learn new skills. :/ I have Sif using a one-handed axe, and she's surprisingly effective with it. I have Galahad (woot) with a long sword, but even at level 3 with long swords, all of his skills have at least the 1 DP cost (yellow). I also have Myriam as an archer/hydrologist combo. Planning to recruit Guella Ha!

Funny, I gave him bewitchery anyway. I always make it a point to give one character that specialty. I still leveled him to SL 4 with Long Swords, now 90% of his attacks cost 0 DP. XD Any Myriam learned multishot, ID Break and Rain of Arrows already. :p From now on, I'm using her as my archer.

Now that I think about it, many gameplay videos have Myriam in the party. Maybe she's a hidden gem in the game, like the dragon knight, but much easier to access.

@dracon204 Naw,the only reason to have Myriam is in your first playthrough, when you don't have Aldora.Or you can have Darque/Aldora use offensive and Myriam defensive MAG etc.

@dracon204 And to reduce the DP cost you need to level an entire class,not just the individual weapon.I mentioned just in case since you mentioned Galahad probs at first.

@dracon204 No,you can still level the classes that teach those weapons for an extra jewel or two to make the rest of the weapon/magic/skill levels catch up OR just switch to a class that has the trained weapon type and problem solved.

@DarqueMinato Right? I mean, hell, the only four gripes I have are: Kinda unbalanced difficulty. One place will be easy, then the one right after will be way, WAY too difficult. Such as the monsters in the Isthmus, as compared to the Greater Demon there. The other bad things are, you can't rotate the camera, the laughable voice acting (except Albert and Guella Ha), and how easy it is to get sidetracked. Other than that, I love it.

@dracon204 I used to play it all day,every day,but I got really sick of it cuz it became repetitive.TOO repetitive.Heck,the only reason I decided to beat it more than once was for Darque/Aldora because he/she is my favorite character.Don't get me wrong,I like it,but I don't LOVE it ,not anymore at least.

Well, I never really beat the game to be honest. I'm working on Gray's story, since he seems to have the most freedom. I've been wondering, though, in Albert's story, is Diana dead, or is it possible to find her later on?

@dracon204 She's alive,but you can never have Diana and Albert in the same party,regardless of which character you're using.You can see her walking in the yard of an unreachable castle( In Bruelle I think) if you're Albert or you have him in your party.She also appears during the ending.I heard there's a glitch which lets you have them both in the Japanese version,but that's about it.In other words,you can't .PS,bad choice starting with Gray.

Well damn... I didn't START as Gray, technically, but once I got the hang of the game, and kept getting owned by Galahad's Blizzard when trying to get the Ice Sword to Pyrix, I decided to start over as Gray... Galahad can't get the sword if he's in my party!

i wanna go fuck myself for not playing this game before, I heard of saGa frontier back in the ps1 days, neved had the chance to play it.

Now this, not only the music is quite good, but the variety and different battle themes are something I like in a game (like in MOTHER 3).

@swordofluminesence If you have a decent PC, you can emulate all the games. Yes, even Unlimited SaGa and this, the RS remake. If you've never played these games, you should.  You'll either love it or hate it but I LOVE the series to death. It doesn't get better than this for me.
