Nokia N79 strange problem

chińską taśmę włożyłem do zapasowej N95 i problem się pojawiał a zamieniłem tylko taśmę - jeśli kupiłeś telefon z drugiej ręki to możliwe że ktoś go naprawiał tańszym kosztem zamiennikami

możliwe że miałem podobny problem - okaże się. Podejrzewałem wirusa a później LCD ale głupiał w ten sposób szczególnie przy rozsuwaniu. Połączenia odbierać mogłem.Wymieniłem taśmę w sliderze - miałem chiński zamiennik (ale też 2 LCD zakupiłem). Najlepiej trochę majsterkować i mieć zamienne części - ja mam trochę do N95. Uwielbiam ten telefon - 1 zgubiłem, 1 zalałem a obecny zrobiłem z 3 uszkodzonych, kupionych na licytacjach - wcale mnie jednak taniej nie wyszedł.

I have the same, thanks all! I think also it is the flatcable plug from the display to the board. I wtnessed a loose fit. I'm gonne try also a small rubber to help pushuing this plug. Thnx!

Bro I've had this EXACT problem with my N79 and I went to claim my warranty. They returned me my N79 and the colors were RUINED!! The screen went so dim and the lightening was dim too.

After that, I purchased another N79 in grey colour and had a 'hanging' problem but soon claimed warranty and after 7 or 8 consecutive visits I got my phone back after like a month or so!! I still own a grey N79 and it's working perfectly.

I just love N79 and can't seem to chat with touch mobiles.

I know this problem, this is because of mishandling during connecting the display lcd to the main board and that connector port is below the cancel button, thats thats why you have this problem while using the cancel button, sometimes during this problem if you apply light force at the right side bottom of lcd protection panel it will get back to normal, but this is not the permanent fix for this issue,

@pilotsubi Yeah you are absolutely right and whenever I pressed it.. It worked but soon the whole lcd died in hours of pressing!

The failure begin when you push exactly over the Display Plug. You have to fix the plug.

u mnie czasem dzieje się coś takiego.

zaczęło się po wymianie wyświetlacza na tanią (100zł) podróbkę. wymieniałem bo siadłem na telefon i wylał się ekran, oprócz tego ekran miga (zauważalne tylko w przypadku przeglądania zdjęć)

if you have a custum theme.. thats probably the problem... try switching themes :)

They say Nokia is the best!Buying the Nokia C5 or any other Symbian series will make consider other options as well.The Nokia C5 is a total failure from Nokia.I have it for some time and it changed my point of view of Nokia.It just freezes and stops whenever it wants out of the blue ,it's a crap!!!

i faced the same problem and trust me guys nokia n79 is the most pathetic phone ive ever used now im using nokia n97 and im quite happy nokia n79 sucks big time

As I disassemble my N79, I found out that that the male & female connector of the LCD seems to be a little loosen, due to product defect.

What I did is i put some small square rubber inside to get tighten up.

Now my screen is working fine now, no more strange problem.

My N79 was awesome initially... then the FM radio wouldn't work... then the wifi would not operate.. and now the FM transmitter does not want to work! The N79 is a piece of cr@p compared to how the N78 performed.

Hi there.. I have N79 and I hard reset by mistake and did not back up. I lost all apps that come preinstalled like IndiSMS, N-Gage games and many other stuff. Is there any way I can get them back ? I have firmware 31.002

If there is no way out please list all the apps, games, widgets that come with N79 in India so that I can search and download them manually

Have you faced this condition where the keypads won't light up when any key is pressed like other Nokia's or any other phone for that matter.....

Strangely the keypad lights only come on when it is dark... Any adjustments? Thanks...

I am not experiencing any issues with my nokia n79. I think you guys have FAKE and CHEAP N79. Just throw you cellphones in the trash

this issue may be ignored by everyone but since we deal with mobile phones through it LCD, nokia must have quality conrol in the proper positioning of the screen itself..

i am not exeriencing that so far. the only thing that annoys me is the LCD.

have you observed.? look at the positioning of the lcd. looks like the topmost right is far a little that the bottom. same as to the left side.

my n79s lcd is also stucked at the upper part.

to sum it up, my theLCD is,

slightly tilted to the left and paced at the upmost portion.

to bad, the replacement period had lapsed.. :(

Telefon zostął wysłany na gwarancji do serwisu i zostal naprawiony.

Wymieniono LCD,klawiatur,plyte glowna, obudowe przednia + nowe gniazdo karty pamieci(bo to akurat zepsuli jak wrocil z naprawy telefon)

Soft wymieniany byl na najnowszy i nie pomoglo. Soft was updated and still the same problem.
