The modern day marching band can trace it's roots back to the Mehter, and this is coming out from a director of a marching band. Imagine what it would be like on the battlefield during the time of the Ottoman Empire. The day when I see this with my own eyes I'll be blown away. This is brilliant!

During every war, all the way in the back, this is exactly how they performed while the Ottoman soldiers were fighting in the front. Yes, our ancestors fought and died to music, and this is why we, Turks are not afraid of war and say war is like entertainment to us...kick ass. How could one not feel proud of being Turk?
