dun respect, don't. u also cant really do anything anyways...wateva it is, as long we r at peace, im good..n dun tell me ALL peaceful protests ALWAYS end up still peaceful.. take a look at thailand
I agree. If the Singapore goverment don't do anything to these so called peaceful protest which always has a chance of turning violence, Singapore might end uo like Thailand. Kudos to the Singapore Police Force and other Home Team Agencies.
Only a peaceful protest is allowed with a permit. But if they break rule and turn into violents, the police will enforce the law to ensure public safety. Other countries do have democracy like Singapore. Just that these people misused democracy, the results, people getting hurt or killed and destruction of public property. When that happens, the police will do their job. Democracy must have a balance.

Most demonstrations always started out peacefully before extremists, triads and violent political factions groups make use of such a free-for-all opportunity to wreck havoc in citizen's lives like what happened in many countries particularly in Thailand's recent disastrous Asean Summit. Who's willing to be responsible when it happens? You? It'll be too late by then. We must never allow it to happen in Singapore. Hence be grateful not foolish and responsible in ur posting.
What a load of rubbish! No Peaceful demonstrations??? Terrorists??? And what is wrong with Democracy Now? Dont you know our pledge? If you are so foolish to think that these peaceful demonstrations can errupt into violence, then you are very wrong, as history has shown again and again that there can be room for peaceful demonstrations, and that it is essential for accountability and transparency!
Absolutely disgraceful, Singapore Police, and you have just lost my respect.

Some of you may have misunderstood the video.
You can protest as long as you get the permit to do so.

What is disturbing is the use of the video for its a certain party's own autocratic ends.
A careful watch reveals a portrayal of democracy protesters in a negative and violent light.
The Singapore Police Force should not be a political chess piece to further the agenda of any political party.
