Very coincidental song. Rusty and Sam passed away in 1990 and 1991. Both made it home to heaven, about the same time frame. Both were true blessings on earth.
I never actually heard that this group existed without Howard and Vestal...kind of neat! I don't think they've put out any CDs from what this group would have recorded...
The first time I heard her was in concert in semo. They came out sung four songs Vestal was no where to be seen. Several had got up and left and more were leaving. Then through the side door she came in singing and the place went wild....Tayna, She can't help it. "She was born a Goodman".
Michael was with the Singing Samaritans before his first run in the Singing Americans. He left to join the Goodmans, then after they broke up went with a group in Kentucky called Couriers Unlimited (did one lp with them) then went back to the Signing Americans. Then he left the to join the Gaither Vocal Band
Yes it is. Before singing with the Goodmans, he sang with the Singing Americans (SingAms). I posted a SingAm video titled Welcome To Heaven To Stay with Michael. Note I also posted a different SingAm video titled Welcome To Heaven which Michael is NOT on. Before that, he sang with the Singing Ambassadors.
thank you so much... I am a big fan of Michael English...and so nice to see his early years of singing career. I miss Sam and Rusty Goodman too.. thanks for the sharing...

What do you mean 'was'? She's still alive and singing, isn't she?
And while I agree that Vestal was the better singer, how do you think Tanya would feel if she saw that?
