  • that looks like tommy davidson on the tambourine

  • Lisa Lisa and the cult jam....talented fun band that hit the dance craze just at the right time. Lots of hits but in the mid 90's when that phase died and grunge became the newest thing all of these dance bands faded....never to be heard from again....too bad.

  • THIS SONG I DEDICATED IT TO MY HUSBAND I HAVE THE SONGS NAME TATTED ON ME LOVE LISA LISA NEVER GETS OLD (3

  • IF I CAN ONLY LIVE THOSE YEARS AGAIN THEY WERE THE BEST TIME EVER

  • i was born in the 90s i missed all the great music now i have to listen to all this techno crap

  • This is my boyfriends and mine song...he used to sing it to me all the time...that was in 1987 along time ago...wow I am old..I was 35 then...wow!

  • Always admired Lisa' huge tits ----- they were delicious looking

  • born in '84 and remember this song when i was like 3 or 4 and loved it just as much now as i did then, i think i was born in the wrong decade.... :(

  • i love this song i added it on my playlist i even heard it on the radio good song luv u lisa lisa

    lol

  • she was the first to cross over. not j lo..

  • i love this song and i'm in middle school! lol

  • There is No Full Force without Lisa. Paula is only a reflection on LISA. J-Low can't compare to the original goddesses of this art form. Lisa is an iconic figure.

  • Adding this song to my playlist "Where'd my balls go , volume 1 "

  • @Aldiggy2000 Thats hysterical bro!!!

  • I LOVE LISA.LISA TITS..BOY SHE HAVE SOME NICE TITS.WOW...AND HER MOUTH IS SO DAMN SEXY..HER LIPS TELLS WHAT HER ORNAMENT MUST LOOK LIKE

  • i'm from 77 also, and i agree. today's music only cares about how many times they can see bitch or the "n" word in 1 song. smdh

  • Pure old school. Full Force & Lisa Lisa. Can we dance now?

  • this song didn't get enough recognition back in the day

  • @te4888 ur dam straight

  • @te4888 I agree with you!!

  • @te4888 actually it did. it was a huge #1 hit on the Hot 100, the R&B singles chart for 3 weeks, and the dance charts.

  • @dayg715 oh it sure didn't seem like it

  • this is still so dope. i was so jealous of her. the beat is still on one.

  • dam this brings back memories

  • This was when MTV was cool. So miss the 80's.

  • Apparently this was the #1 song on my birthday. o:

  • @AngelYoshi87 me too :P thanks FB for this history lesson haha...and hey person that is exactly as old as me!

  • me and my buddies were playing this song beleive it or not on the way to see iron maiden for the somewhere in time tour in 87 lol

  • I USE TO SHAVE MY HAIR ON THE SIDE LIKE THAT TOO. LOL FUNNY HOW THAT STYLE CAME BACK AGAIN

  • good times

  • I still love this song. :)

  • Happy Birthday Lisa!

  • I thought I was the roller skating queen when this was on!! GREAT TIMES!!!

  • i want to go to a 80's-90's party at a roller rink so BAAADLY

  • @Letmeb29 Been there many times and miss it like crazy they played this song at my 8th grade party I was about 14 (born in 72) explaining the way it felt being a teen in the 80's and early 90's is unexplainable word's can't express what hearing these songs for the first time was like setting around the radio listening to the top 40 and actually watching Videos on MTV I feel the song 1985 by bowling for soup.

  • @kentuckysniper1 i totally agree. i was born in 77 & i'm so happy i was able to witness all this wonderful music. the 80s'-90's was the best era, i miss it tremendously. rollerskating with your walkman on your hip, not a care in the world. school dances with your friends & just having fun. not worring about the party being shot up or anyone acting stupid. u could'nt go to a party & the dance floor not be bumming. people were not scared to dance at all. miss those days

  • @Letmeb29 So right.

  • @Letmeb29 Amen to that that. I was born in 69 and this was my era. And true, we never had to worry about shootings at the school dances and the roller rink....we did our thing without a care in the world...stress free and carefree days.....and definitely was not scared to dance. this is because we would practice in our bedrooms and around the house lol

  • @Letmeb29 I agree it's really sad how things are today and you are correct 80's and 90's were the best and nobody goes to an arcades, movies, and Skating rink and do much outdoors anymore for the younger generation all they know is to sit in front of a TV and play on a video game system over DSL/Cable...I think the people that grew up in the 40's - 70's did more things since when I was born in 74

  • There is nothing as sexy as a NY Boriqua!!! Lisa Lisa epitomize the vibe, every culture and race agreed... she was and still is Caliente'

  • @noirnoticvibe So true... Lisa Lisa is too beautiful. My first crush....

  • LIsa was like one of the first thick girls in pop culture for a young boy to fein over, :D

I love hearing these classic campy jams from my childhood.

  • ha i was born the week this song hit number one on the radio haha

  • yes she looks like Paula Abdul!!

  • As I recall, this came out prior to Paula Abdul's videos. I remember dancing to this in 8th grade and buying Paula's tape in 9th.

  • @keetan312 I'm sorry but Lisa Lisa came way before Paula Abdul!

  • @mercedes8730 I was quite sure of that but it seem to be an ongoing argument on this thread.

  • Comment removed

  • @keetan312 Yeah some ppl think that Lisa took Paula's style, but Lisa came out around 84-85, Paula was still dancing for the Lakers around that time I think!

  • @keetan312

As the copyright above shows this song came out in 1987. Paula Abdul's first album was in '89 leading off with Straight Up.

  • @hbdywtk you are what's wrong with the world. Who agrees with me?

  • @hbdywtk rudee .

  • Somebody, bring back big hair!!!

  • Back when you had to have talent to make it. All the girls do now is try to out scream each other.

  • beautiful woman

    and great ta tas!

  • whose the killer

  • she looks just like paula abdul.

  • @jnyerere Bullshit...!!!

  • @jnyerere No, Paula Abdul looks like Lisa Lisa! Lisa Lisa predates Paula Abdul on the music scene by at least 4 years, as her first hit, "I Wonder If I Take You Home" was recorded in 1984. Paula Abdul didn't hit the music scene until mid to late 1988.

  • @DSDunlap72 I had no idea to be honest with you. In fact, I was born in Dec. of 89 I guess I really wouldn't know. but nevertheless, this is all valuable information. Thanx!

  • This thing was so damn fine. I was crazy about lisa lisa, the hell with cult jam. Give me her and i'm good.

  • MAN i was so in love with sexy lisa lisa...Lisa i can love u from head to toe .to babe

  • Why listen to Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam when you can listen to The Cult and The Jam?

  • I saw this video on VH1-C, I like it a lot, it's pretty cool.

  • Back when songs were about love, and not sex, the word love meant love! <3

  • Love this video

  • @TheSmurfette3 SHE WAS JLO BEFORE JLO CAME OUT!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • No Pitbull and this was a great song with great beats!!!!!!!!!

  • i remember growing up on this song and all the wonderful songs of the 70s and 80s the best times of life back when black people knew how to party and have a good time ALL FUN WITHOUT THE GUN

  • I was five when this came out. I remember dancing with my mom (who was barely 26 at the time!) as we cleaned the house.

  • OMG I was in 7th grade when this song came out and it brings me flashbacks when I would wait for it to come on the radio and dance to it..

  • i gonna stick to my "guns" (massive tits)

  • The good ole fun days!

  • She didnt steal the look from Paula, that was the look in those day...I know I rocked it back then...Boricua!

  • @morenaonline17 well since paula didn't hit the scene till 89 or 90 it'd be more of paula ripping her look but i rocked some stupid looks back in the 80's too with my members only jacket

  • @morenaonline17 This is not an argument that I would normally try to settle, but back in the 80's you are so right. Especially back in East Harlem where Lisa Lisa is from...!!! I remember those days...!!! Ridin' on the 6 train to 116th Street. Cravin' a Valencia cake right about now...!!!

  • @morenaonline17 she came out before paula

  • @morenaonline17 Me too, sister...black, white, brown, yellow...we all rocked it out like Lisa back in the day, the best we could pull it off!

  • @morenaonline17 Otra Boricua aqui! ;) Lisa Lisa (debut album Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam with Full Force in 1985) was around doing videos and making hits before Paula Abdul had her first hit video and song in the later part of the decade "Straight Up" in 1988. :)

  • @morenaonline17

    Exactly my boriqua fly girls!!!

  • @morenaonline17 Also, whomever said that Lisa Lisa stole the look from Paula is not only wrong, but is clueless as to music history. Lisa Lisa PREDATES Paula by a good 3 to 4 years. (Lisa Lisa showed up on the scene in 1984-85. Paula Abdul didn't show up until 1988-89)

  • @morenaonline17 lol she was before Paula smh.. I had the look too

  • favorite

Lucky-pop el de LA MISION PR.

    Alias (gemelo)

  • It is amazing what memories came back to me once I heard this song and yes the eighty's and nineties was the best era to grow up in.

  • If you are about 30-40, you never got tired of hearing this either playing on the radio every 15 minutes, or at the skating rink, or blasting out of someone's car stereo during a BBQ.

  • this was my jam when I as a kid I was 7 when this came out wow it seems like it was just yesterday

  • Lisa Lisa is still kicking ass and taking names!!

  • this was my jam, i was six when this came out.... it came on the radio last night & me and my sister were just singing hella loud in the car, brought back alot of memories. had to come find the vid today.

  • she smiles a lot : )

  • argh, the 80s were rough on music.

  • @danalovesjoe5555 - as with all eras, there are good examples, bad examples, mediocre examples, experimental examples... there's little about the 80s that's derivative. Thankfully. Though it's obvious the late-80s did start to feel more manufactured than soulful...

  • ...aah such wonderful cheesy music. ;)

  • I love the 80s from head to toe.

  • In the 80's, we weren't about Black, White, Yellow, or any color. We were focused on the music. About what the future could hold for us and the entire world. Things were sexy without being pornographic. Naughty sometimes without being vulgar. Summed up.. Positive Energy!!!

  • Those were the best times with the Best Music ever!!! Can't forget 80's!

  • OMG, yes, yes, YES, the '80's were the BEST years ever! The music was great, dancing RULED, it was like an endless party. SOOOooooo much fun! I am sure I am still 'stuck' there in a way, but I had the absolute time of my life. Still love Prince, Joan Jett, Men Without Hats, Sheila E, Rick James, Teena Marie, Madonna (before she got trashy and weird), and all the rest. If you weren't there ... you won't get it. LOVE those days! :) :) :)

  • @StudioCPhotography

TRUE--one big party--very different from the 60's--which I wouldn't have minded either. Just glad I was the age I was when all thei hit!!! Grad. HS in '85--times where forever fun!!!!
