Schumer pretty much kicked his ass there. AG is basically arguing that he should be held to the standard of an accused criminal. Nice to know he's got principles. Asshole.
"I don't recall"......when interviewing for these positions, no one should be hired unless they show an ability to recall things, statemnets or meetings.
Attorney General, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. I yield back the balance of my time.
Watch Senator Schumer point out that the standard of ethical behavior for the Attorney General of The United States is higher than "No Criminal Act Occurred".
Gonzalez just remarks whatever he thinks is correct at the time. In a way, he thinks he can say anything at anytime. First, he says he has made DOJ officials available. The no. 3 DOJ appointee has refused to testify. Second, he says all documents have been furnished. Documentation has either been conveniently lost or even provided on Friday evening because they wanted to avoid the media.
The country's AG needs to be more than a BS artist who feels he can get away with saying anything.
I guess AG is simply trying to prove he's not a crook. I'm glad Schumer pointed out that keeping his job isn't simply a matter of not being a criminal.
