@alexpain100 Sounds like your gear ratio is WAY too low. Set it at an overall speed of about 155 and see if that helps on this track.

Just won this race with 15.7 secs to spare and there was a J2 racing it finished 6th after starting on the grid 4th I have no idea why it did so poor but it shows that car dosent always win. Ok so how did i win it? I used the toyota 7 race car not sure how i got it but i think i won it, I had racing: medium tryers on front and back, turbo kit 3, now transmission alone with the tyres are key, transmission max speed set to 168. i also use a driver that had a character set to hot. also check oil.

Already beat it before I watched this video, but used a similar way. The Corvette Camaro with all the upgrades works a treat too, as long as that Cheese Wedge shaped car doesn't start at the front, and if it does, try and give it a thump into the wall. Once you get in the lead, the AI doesn't seem to try and overtake.

Good video, this race was a pain and it will help loads of people.

@chrisxxxt I apologize if this tip isn't working out for all of you. I upgraded my Challenger and completed both races in 1-2 tries. And that was simply to find the right gear ratio. Not to be rude, but there comes a point where this race might just be a bit too difficult for some of you out there. You might have to wait later in the game until you can buy a car that has a serious advantage. To be honest, I can beat this race with my '74 Lambo Countach, but the Challenger is much easier.

@xXksepwnsXx I'm wanting to say I tuned it to 165-170 on the actual transmission setting. But that actually translates to only hitting 155-ish on the road. People may drive a bit differently than myself, so feel free to experiment with what works for you. I'd say that I could win that race using anything from 150-185 max.

I just did this put the transmission down to 155, got the racing mods, 651 horsepower and it still dosnt work. It handles really badly and is slow to accelerate.

@GazellasStudio Hmmm. Are you using RACING SOFT tires? Be sure you purchase EVERY upgrade AFTER the Racing Upgrade that's avaible for the car. (especially the engine/super charger upgrades.) I was able to win the race my first try. The video shows it bro.

@xXksepwnsXx Watch the video again. GT Auto tune FIRST for the racing upgrade. THEN, upgrade everything else including the $20,000 transmission. THEN, tune that to a max speed of 160-170 mph. (it will actually top out at around 150-155mph with those settings.) And be sure you have RACING SOFTS on. If you get stuck, just watch the video for pointers. I flat out show you a win with it.

@xXksepwnsXx It could increase the horsepower beyond a race limit. Once you add the racing kit, it can't be undone. But the "racing versions" fully upgraded are usually faster than not doing the upgrade.

@xXksepwnsXx RACING KIT first because it gives you half of the performance parts. If you buy all the parts first, you may wind up buying them twice in the long run.

@xXksepwnsXx The first thing you do is goto GT AUTO TUNE first (where you change your oil) and scroll all the way right. Buy the "RACING MODIFICATION" upgrade. Then go buy every performance part available. Try gearing a bit lower if the above doesn't work. (145-155)

@singbro Yep. Do the Auto GT Racing Modification first. It gives you some performance parts so you don't want to buy them twice.
