  • Battlefield 3 left out the XM8 :/

Oh and another possible assumption why we haven't upgraded from my beloved M-16 is because like he said 8 million are in use and more probably being produced. There going to make sure those rifles are used for as long as possible.

  • I guess kalishnakov needs to shake their hands like he promised.

  • 416 typo

  • 516 causes excess receiver wear, places a piston above center access, the BCG is a piston it doesn't need another. The piston adds weight to the front along with needing a heavier barrel because the gas is vented underneath the hand guard keeping the heat in the barrel. I personally see nothing wrong with piston guns at all just use one designed from the ground up with one.

  • Some of their comments are misleading. The XM8 & H&K 416 do produce heat & carbon, the carbon & heat collect around the piston block. If you touched the piston block of the H&K416 after shooting a hundred rounds through it in a short amount of time you'd burn the skin off of yourself

  • the USMC will keep their m4s for carbine use

  • xm8 looks like a future version of the g36, the USA will never replace their standard rifle with a rifle that is similar(416) made by a foreign country

  • Yeah he doesn't know shit the BCG is near identical but has a strike plate in place of the gas key and slots in the ass end other then that its the same bolt...also striking a "floating" linear BCG from the top is lame IMO the BCG isn't designed for that. If you want a piston gun buy one built from ground up with a piston (stacked BCG on rails)

  • A variant of it, the C7 is used by the Canadian Armed Forces.

  • I've seen the M16 compared to the old Brown Bess Musket (Used by Britain) in terms of longevity of service.

  • The first part of the show said pistons were shit and that direct gas was better...and now this part says the piston system is better lol

  • The H&K 416 is the Norwegian Primary Assault rifle

  • The 416 is an AR with a few extra holes and a piston lol.

  • Sorry, but i'm not going to believe what your scale says about the weight of a weapon over what the manufacturer says.

The video said the military is looking for a replacement that is lighter but just as powerful. They are fielding a hk416 with the same size barrel as the M4 so it has the same muzzle velocity. The 416 being fielded is to possibly replace the M4, that is why they need to be compared to each other. When you take equally powerful examples of each, the 416 is over a pound heavier.

  • @dawnmarko1 The gov is going to purchase about 8,000 of them to be used as support guns. They gave it a designation and everything, the M27 IAR.They are using the longer barrel but Special forces like Delta and SEALs use the compact. The compact is only 3 and a half inches shorter.

  • Lighter than the m16?

The H&K is over a pound heavier...

  • @dawnmarko1 I dont know what your on but the compact weighs 6 pounds and the full size is about 7-8 pounds depending on model. M16 is 9 pounds, M4 is 7-8, and an AK is 10-11. Its complete crap that its heavier unless you can find a 5 pound M16. What is there to weigh it down.

  • @chrisknife1

Take it in context. The narrator is talking about replacing the CURRENT M16 system (that would be the M4 model in almost all cases) with something just as powerful. That would mean a 14.5 inch barrel, not the compact H&K you mentioned.

From Wikipedia- the H&K D14.5RS: 3.490 kg (7.69 lb) empty.

From the H&K website- 8.24 lb loaded

From Wikipedia- M4 Carbine: 6.36 lb (2.88 kg) empty, 6.9 lb (3.1 kg) with 30 rounds

Have you held either? If you had you wouldn't be arguing.

  • @dawnmarko1 Yes sir I have held and even weighed both variants as well as M4s and M16s. Your arguement is that it is a pound heavier than an M16 which is 9 pounds. You said it yourself the rifle does not weigh 10 pounds. Loaded and unloaded the M4 is about 7 pounds roughly same as the 416. The 416 is a few ounces heavier but not enough that its a great big deal and for the extra firepower and relyability it's pretty worth it. As I asked before what would weigh it down.

  • @chrisknife1

Apples and oranges. Don't compare different sizes of rifles.

The H&K 416 being tested in the field by the US has a 14.5 inch barrel. It weighs 8.24 lb loaded.

The M16 platform with a 14.5 inch barrel (the M4) weighs 6.9 lbs loaded.

Both rifles having a 14.5 inch barrel, the M4 IS more than a pound lighter.

The reason the 416 is heavier is because it is a piston gun (more moving parts).

Don't argue with me, the numbers don't lie.

  • @dawnmarko1 I'm not compareing different sizes. You said that the 416 is a pound heavier than an M16. Wikipedia is not the most accurate gun website and do you know what type of M4 it is. For all we know the M4 might not have a handguard or a stock. It could even be a CAR-15 mistaken for an M4. Like I said I have weighed both guns. The M27 IAR [US 416 designation] is going to replace the 17 pound M249 so why you'd compare it to an M4 I do not know. The 416 is worth the extra weight if it has any

  • @chrisknife1

Fine. If you don't like Wikipedia, look somewhere else. Reading is fundamental.

Colt's says an uloaded M4 with a carry handle is 6.11 lbs. Add 1.1 lbs. for a full 30 rd mag and you are STILL MORE THAN A POUND LIGHTER THAN THE 416.

Again, take it in context. No one said anything about the M249. The video is about replacing the M16 platform.

You may want to consider retiring as a 416 fanboy, read the facts and stay on topic.

  • @dawnmarko1 keep in mind most forces use RAS that adds weight. It's still an M4. At my range there is a scale and as I said the 416 if there is any extra weight it's a few ounces. The 416 has less parts making up the bolt and other internals. Whats the point of comparing the M27 to an M4 when its replacing the M249. Like I said its worth any extra weight which isnt much. Again it's lighter than an M16. There is no such thing as a 416 fanboy. You like ARs or AKs, or niether or you dont know

  • @dawnmarko1 what gun you like but you tell yourself there is somthing better than ARs and AKs. You said it's a pound heavier than an M16 not an M4. Whats the point in arguing over the mere ounces when the 416 is worth them. I am on topic your the one that keeps moving away from your arguement. You really cant argue when I have proof from real life and you have text from websites. The 416 is a great rifle that is much better than a standered AR.

  • @chrisknife1 You are aware the 416 IS an AR with a piston driven system? It is no more than a standard AR with more updates & slight changes. Is it better? It runs cooler but you add weight & complexity.

  • @shananagans5 There is not add enough weight that it makes any difference. Spec Ops forces use the compact varient which is a pound lighter anyways. You forgot that it shoots a 100 rounds faster, is much more durable and relyable, is more accurate, and has very little recoil. It is not more complex, my least favorite part of taking an AR apart is the bolt and the 416 has a new bolt desighn that doesnt get taken apart. The piston is only like 5 parts anyways and doesnt have to be taken apart.

  • @chrisknife1 lol It uses the same bolt. There are minor changes to the carrier to accept the piston system but that is it. The piston system does run cooler & cleaner than DI but that's the only real advantage. Is it worth it? There are some problems with the piston system but it is still being developed & improved. Hopefully those systems will get all the bugs worked out because I really like piston guns in general & would love a piston drive AR.

  • Pretty much any military rifle out there is better than M16, IMHO

M14, AKs 47-1xx, FN FAL, SIG 55x, HKs, etc., etc...

M14 is a great weapon, there was no need to replace it as a MBR with M16.

Good lobbying on behalf of Colt I guess.

  • @KA3AKBTEXACE The M14 wasn't a bad weapon, but it wasn't the very best we could have given our soldiers. Nor was the M16 in my opinion.

  • They make it sound like the H&K is a totally new rifle. It is just an AR with a piston driven action instead of DI. The basic stoner design is going to be around for a long long time.

  • @shananagans5 Amen that.

  • @shananagans5 wat the fuck i dont understand!!!!

  • @YoungTalentVI What don't you understand? What keeps happening is they take the basic M 16 and make a minor change to it (functional or cosmetic) and give it a new name when it is still the same basic rifle. Even if you took the first M16s and compared them to the most modern variant it is painfully obvious it is the same rifle with a tweak her & a tweak there. It is kind of like taking a car model and changing the grill & putting a bigger radiator on it and introducing it as a totally new car.

  • @shananagans5 i think they are about to phase out all stoner designs, by 2014 anyway

  • @MegaMrDamo There has been rumors of that for yrs. I will believe it when I see it. The problem with replacing the M16 is any potential replacement isn't as versatile. Lots of great rifles have challenged it but you can't just pop a grenade launcher on it or night vision or who knows what future developments. That is probably the biggest strength of the M16. You can hang anything off of it or just pop 2 pins, drop a new upper on & it's a totally new rifle.

  • Wow, German weapon engineers are so brilliant. They design such an wonderful weapon. Truly admire their brilliance.

  • @BetheHans If you know anything about the specs, it's hardly brilliant. Using a conventional short stroke gas piston on a M4 is nothing new really. It's been done before. The Germans were just the ones that popularized it. Not saying it's a bad rifle, it's probably a great rifle. Probably better then a M4.

  • Hk 416 the best

  • I think the Hk416 would be a good replacement for the m16 it maybe a little tiny bit heavyer but the rest is just better, the accuracy and the rate of fire and many more

I am going to buy the civilian version of the Hk416, the mr223

It is good weapon, i know it

  • @F0XSQUAD They won't replace it because its too expensive

  • id have the g36c personally

  • @champion6341 I'd go for HK416 with HK417 as assault riffle and GPMG/marks man riffile combination, sharing all the basic but the barrel

  • we want an ar-15 but at the same time we don't. i will personally take a m16a3 over H&K's 416 anyday. i grew up around the m16 and i have a "airsoft version" (to young to get a firearm license to get a real one) and i find the m16 comfortable.

  • @thenerd1000 u do realize that it's the same ergonomics as an AR and an M4/M16

  • @godzilla1463 yeah, but i perfer looks

  • @thenerd1000 I like the M16, it'll stop troops from wasting their time on playing cards and flirting local girls.

  • @1stMarineCapt yeah my dad was in service from 83-09 in the US.Army. hes shown me the differences in models and how to shoot them properly :) he personally would like to keep the M-16 in service for a while, he said if we field the 416 or something he said "trops will forget how to periodically maintain there weapons" so when the time comes around they do need to clean they'll have forgotten.

  • @thenerd1000 Well hell yeah. Indeed let's say if you're issued or maybe you capture an AK for instant, still you have to clean it. Few of those AK which I seen which left unclean, had result their rifles to have a stovepipes jam or severely blew off. Most of those blows off cases were mainly inflicted by the piston fowled up with carbons, so yeah, finally we proved the M16 rifle is a good weapon.

  • @1stMarineCapt The AK while very reliable and rarely fails, is not impervious to neglect. No rifle is.

  • @esh325 Oh really? Well I hate AK, but as fare as many people are, I gotta give the credit of reliability to it. But you gotta admit, it's reliability isn't as much as the old days no more. M16 rifles improved itself. More NATO rifles are now design with better piston gas system. German rifles are taking the crown. Every country whom had enough money to modernize it's army won't be stupid to take the AK. Admit it.

  • @1stMarineCapt No doubt, there are better rifles then the AK. I wouldn't choose a M16 either if I wanted to modernize an army. As there are better rifles then either these days.

  • @thenerd1000 The overheating problem can be easily resolve, if the govt. could mind spending a little bit more money. They can invest in a type of bore lubrication in which won't run off, and combines sort of chemical which could make the barrel cold in any sort of heating effects. Let's call it as "cold lube". It'll make the barrel last long enough during sustain firing.

  • @1stMarineCapt yeah the govt. is a bunch of cheap basteds. haha i'll still take an m-16a2 over an ak any day man

  • @thenerd1000 XM16E1, M16A2 and A4 had always been my combat comrade.

  • its easy just put a filter on the gas tube

  • the jokes on them these guns were never used by the us military due to the soldiers will to use the m 16 they are so comfortable on the m16 that there not willing to replace it

  • i have an idea for the m 16 but i dont have the mmoney and im still legaly a minor so theres still time and hoprfully there will be more innovations in technology before that happens so u just dont know maybe my ideas will be applied b4 i become an adult and maybe i wont have something new by then and no more glory for me to find in gun designs

  • we should do what the russians do to aks we should modify m16s instead of spending millions if not billions for research and development for a replacement riflr for the m16 cuz that would be hard

  • thumbs up for HK 416

  • "The world is becoming increasingly urbanized" Is complete bullshit,Mogadishu made the army really paranoid, and yet it still gives grunts M4s in places where the better M16A4 would save thier lives,When is the Army going to realize the M4 is good but not a godly weapon.

  • The M-16 / M4 series is very accurate. The USMC during Gulf War II was engaged in heavy fighting, shooting roof top to roof top out to 500 meters against the enemy armed with AK-47. The Marines killed they with head shoots while the Marines were NOT even wounded.

  • I would take an HK416 over any weapon anyday. It's fast, powerful, clean, reliable, accurate, and sexy. It can be modified. its one hell of a an assault rifle!

  • @xoAlisaur Amen best gun in the world. Much better than an AK witch are now jokes. It makes most other guns look like they fire in slow motion. It handles ice, water, dirt, sand, mud, etc better than any other gun. It is also really cool looking.

  • well to be honest if i was in the army and i was issued a 416 and im in afghanistan i wouldnt care how durible it is i would still keep it properly maintained. Take care of your gear your gear take care of you.

  • this series was a whole bunch of smoke being blown up SWAT's ass, and their stats are right out of a damn textbook. their facts are at odds with lots of realities.

  • check out that dude's mustache at 1:32

  • to yeahbuddmd

So, we europeans know nothing about firearms. even in WW 2 our MG42 was 4 times faster than anyithing the allies had. Did you know that US Army still buys firearms from Hekler und Koch , and that you M1 Abrahams only works since he have the gun of our Leopard 2

  • @boingcef europeans are stupid, smell and they rape small children also the spell words wrong like centre theatre and colour

  • @boingcef And then there's France xD

  • If it's this reliable, why does future weapons whine about how low it is?

  • @0YtsanBlowout0 Simply, the Future weapon stuff is for weapons company to advertising their weapons to the defensive department in another way. Indeed M4A1 wouldn't be so reliable, but I would definitely go into hard combat with a full auto M16A4. Just need a cold hammer forge barrel on it. M16 is cheaper than M4s anyway.

  • the standerd rifle of the us army is M4A1 the M16 is mainly used in the USMC.

the M16 is basically fazed out of the US army now. the army is buying another 60,000 this year.Hooah !!!!

  • poor m16 i like that gun

  • COD black ops is off cuz they said the m16 was full auto untill the 1970s when black ops takes place in the 60s

  • Why was that guy running up on the beach like a little girl? lol

  • ar 10 is the real way to go........ we should see more of the ar 10 in iraq and afghanistan.

  • @deltaforcexyz

It's a .308 rifle...not suitable for an infantry weapon...to much recoil on full auto and not as accurate as 5.56x45mm

  • @deltaforcexyz I just bought the bushmaster ORC .308 and it is awesome. Recoil control is amazing compared to any other .308/7.62x51 i have shot. most people have no idea how much a DGI system benefits in recoil reduction, especially in larger calibers. i hate to go to an extreme, but my 16" .308 AR has the same, if not less felt recoil, than my wasr 10/63 in 7.62x39.

  • Yeah, HK 417 rules the world - 7.62 mm. ;-) The M16 is an oldtimer and a piece of shit. The only AR-15 variant I would give a try, is an Alexander Arms modification in caliber .50 Beowulf. ;-) Peace!

  • And here is another question, they say you have less time to get the bad guys, but who we think are the bad guys think they are the good guys so who is right. Al-Qaeda may be pissed we violated their Arab rules is 1991, but what's the use of starting a war. Great you won now what? That is the question

  • the 5.56's power comes from its speed. The M4's shorter barrel makes it slower and less power + more death

  • notice how HK makes both of the M16's competitors

  • @TheSilentPenguin12 Pity the rifles most used is made by FN (M-16 AND the SCAR-L)

  • @TheDoxy FN does not make the m16....

  • @FckJewtube They sure as hell do. Colt has the contract for the M4(A1). FN Herstal is the primary Contractor for the M16A2, A3 and A4...google it up if you want to.

  • @TheDoxy are we buying the m16 anymore? NO so is FN making them? NO

  • @FckJewtube You do realize that FNH has a Manufacturing plant in Columbia, SC right?

"1989 – FN wins contract to produce M16 rifles for U.S. military at their plant in Columbia, South Carolina."

    fnhusa (dot) com/mil/about2 (dot) asp

Oh yeah! Completely forgot about the M249 SAW, which is also an FN firearm. Oops. Do you bother to research before opening your internet mouth?

  • @FckJewtube And of course we're buying the M16. Colt, FN Herstal and now Sabre Defense don't make these things for free.

If you really are US Army, and not just blowing smoke up people's asses, take an issue M16A4, turn it on its side and look at the roll mark

  • @TheDoxy yur a joke if you think the m16 is being bought anymore...DUMBASS

  • @FckJewtube Do you understand how weapons acquisition happens? A committee allocates funds to be spent on a weapons budget. Part of this budget goes to establishing contracts that designates sole providers for a particular weapon system. Colt holds the M4A1 Contract. FN had the M16A2-A3-A4 contract. Sabre Defense how holds the M16A3-A4 contract with 4,952 A3's and 702 A4's to be shipped

Google IDIQ Contract, you fucking trolling putz.

  • The bolt will be cool but the gas block sure as hell wont.

  • the us army should take the Ak 100 series or the m416

fuck off the m16 will never be reliable

its clearly that americans did this vid!!!!!!!!

cuz they think the m16 is the worlds greatest gun BUT it IS´NT!!!!

  • @rammsteinlover1337

    The 416 is an M16 with a gas piston....dumbass.

AKs suck, terrible sights, crude design.

M16 is reliable, can't you read? 4/5 M16 malfunctions are MAGAZINE related

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun the gas operation which the m16 has will NEVER be reliable

the only reliable is the gas piston operatons cuz that dont bring any gasas in the chamber

BTW its NOT the ak which is inaccurate its the shooter

    gas pistons EVER

u can shoot the m416 full auto and still be able to touch the bolt

the m4/m16 bolt would burn right through ur hand

dumbass american every thing which is american is not the greatest

    European is the best

  • @rammsteinlover1337

The sights on the AK-47 are naturally inaccurate in comparison to the peep sights of the M16

my point still stands, 4/5 M16 malfunctions are magazine related

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun dumbass american dumb dumb and dumb

u dont give americans a better name 4 me

the only good thing america has done is coca cola drinks

  • @rammsteinlover1337

Oh yes, Americans are dumb eh? Even though we are the center of the world economy and the super power of the world with the most powerful military in the world. Yup, must take a nation of fucking retards to get to the top of the list, eh?

Get lost, Eurofag. Actually, no, it's just the Swedish fags. The rest of the EU is fine. Go get in an argument with a Norwegian or something.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun oh i wonder why u are in the top

oh i get it cuz i did that calculation

the only good m16 is the vid /watch?v=VpceMplltyw

go and suck some justin beaver dick

  • @rammsteinlover1337

Have you ever fired a rifle before? Probably not, considered your 14 and in Europe.

If you have, you'd know .308 Winchester (or, 7.62x51mm NATO) is a hardhitting round not suitable for infantry rifles. However, it makes a good round for support weapons (heavy barreled light machine guns).

I don't know why everyone is fascinated with .308s, they are worthless for infantry. They kick too much for the standard soldier to effectively use. In other words, troll harder.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun

Oy! whats u're beef with norwegians? ;)

  • @Yeahbuddymd

Nothing, it's just that most Europeans no little to nothing about firearms

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun

    True that...

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun

Maybe we do not know how to handle firearms as the Americans but we sure know how to design them.

  • @Freakbrain1

Not the average citizen. The average European citizen is entirely disarmed and defenseless against a tyrannical government/foreign power. And remember, America has made some of the best and most revolutionary weapons this world has seen. The first repeating firearms, the first lightweight assault rifle (STG 44/AK-47/M2-Carbine were all clunky and heavy), and much more. America's true heritage lives and breaths firearms.

  • @rammsteinlover1337 M416's cleaner? Hahahaha, more parts to clean. More reliable? Google Carrier Tilt. Only thing HK builds is over priced, over hyped shit. High Reliability Steel mags? Out performed by Magpul's Polymer Mag.

You can't skull fuck a piston into an AR and expect it to work. "Those who want a Piston AR don't shoot enough to warrant it. Those who shoot enough aren't foolish enough to use one"

  • @TheDoxy H&K guns are NOT over hyped. Argue all you want but the MP40 and STG44 [oh what do you know the first actiual assult rifle] killed millions of russians, americans, british, and canadians over world war two. When you think about it the worlds most popular gun is not the AK47 its probably the good old mp5. Did you even watch this video the H&K 416 is the best gun in the world watch its field strip its eisier than an AK47s. Why dont you do your research befor you make retarded coments.

  • @chrisknife1 Sturmgewehr 44 came in too early in the war to be of any difference. The MP40 I will give to you though. But the MP5? Theres a reason modern SWAT and HRT teams have switched to the M4: Anything a pistol caliber submachine gun can do, a rifle bullet can do better. The M4 is easier to get spare parts for. LEO Armories that bought into the MP5 hype of the 90's now have racks of the things they can't fix

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDoxy The STG 40 still killed alot of people. The mp5 as with all smgs is being replaced by assult rifles but it will stay in service. I'll give you that but modern pows will more likely take the role of the smg; the mp7 is smaller but armor piercing. And now you dont have to take the bolt down in the 416. The pistons not that hard to clean and because of the system you dont have to clean it as often. H&K is not overhyped but AK is. Just because of that one poc russia gets eternal fame.

  • @chrisknife1 Keeping an AR White Glove clean is a complete and utter Myth. Google 'Pat Rogers Filthy-14' and you'll see an AR that has been cleaned less than 5 times over the span of almost 40,000 rounds.

  • @chrisknife1 HK Mags are stupidly over priced for no reason other than it has "HK" stamped on the side. 50-60 bucks for a magazine? You can get 5 Magpul pmags for that amount for the M4 and have a better running, lighter, more cost effective mag. Easier to field strip? it field strips the same as the M4 EXCEPT now you have to clean that stupid ass piston that's been skull fucked into a Direct Impingement weapon. As for Carrier Tilt? Apparently you didn't google that yet.

  • Comment removed

  • @chrisknife1 I will give Piston AR's this though, they do do one thing rather well and that's run in a Short Barreled Suppressed configuration like a champ. With a standard DI SBR, you have to watch closely the combination of Gas Port size, Buffer Weight and Extractor Tension. Throw in a suppressor and you have to retune for the extended dwell time and back pressure created by the can. All you do on a 416 is dial down the gas and you're ready to rock for a suppressor

  • @chrisknife1 Or dial up the gas if you want to run a short barreled configuration. But then again, you don't need HK for that...LWRCi can do that just as well for less money and better customer service...

  • @chrisknife1 Oh, and lets not mention ALL of the makers of Piston AR's use Proprietary EVERYTHING in their weapons. HK: Proprietary Extractor, Extractor Springs, Bolt, Bolt Carrier (And in the .Mil world proprietary lower configuration. .Civ got the better deal there for once in HK's existence) First thing Preventative Maintenance calls to get replaced? Extractor.

  • @TheDoxy Weapons like the AK are expired. Weapons like the m4 are modern and still good for the time. Weapons like the 416, G36, Tavor, etc are the next generation. If you think the 416 is a bad gun you dont know what your talking about. I dont want to make an enimy out of you and you seem to know what your talking about but i definetly know what I'm talking about.

  • @chrisknife1 Lets see here: G36 Melts: Check. M416 Carrier Tilt: Check. Tavor Bullpup configuration and zero design functions to allow for modern gunfighting principles and TTP's: Check. If you would have said the SCAR-L I would have given that to you. That weapon right there is a beast and maintains the ergonomics required to be an effective fighting platform. Piston BASED weapon, not an afterthought and has no issues seen by AR Piston weapon systems.

  • @TheDoxy lets see: Googled it: G36 will melt if thrown into fire as with every other polymer based gun including the SCAR-L and even on an AK47 because of wooden parts check: H&K 416 desighned and one hundred percent tested to not have carrier tilt check: TAR-21 aka TAVOR proven to be one of the best bullpup and most accurate weapons check: SCAR-L proven to be one of the most over hyped firearms in the world though it is good check: Your claims googled and proven to be bull crap check.

  • @chrisknife1 Check out M4C on "Opinions on HK's G36 platform" As for carrier tilt on the 416, I'm going on info from a BTDT dude and I'm trying to get in contact to show me the empirical proof so I'll drop that for now. BUT Bullpup anything does NOT transition well to modern gunfighting TTP's. Shoot from an unconventional position. Transition to weak side and shoot. Any sort of Immediate Action drills or reload drills are hampered by the design.

  • @TheDoxy I realize that Bullpup isnt the best in a modern firefight but the TAR-21 is really accurate. And I checked the price of a 416 on the H&K site and it said the price ranges from 800-1400$. The SCAR is in a more 2000$ price range. And do you really think the US government wants to have to completly retrain soldiers and thier teaching methods. The 416 is the better rifle in my book although the SCAR is probably second on my list.

  • @chrisknife1 The problem with both the SCAR and the 416 is that neither really bring anything significant to the table requiring a complete restructuring of the parts and supply process. Its rumored that the SCAR-L got dropped by the Gov't but the SCAR-H is still in the running, and for good reason: We don't have a balls out reliable 7.62 rifle in the mix and it does fill a void rather than replace a system entirely

  • @TheDoxy Im sorry I took so long but I've been busy. How ever you are wrong as we have the M14 witch is known for reliability and shocker it has less recoil than an AK. As your obviously aware H&K has its 7.62 the 417 but its not nearly as good as the SCAR. The 5.56 is more than capable but it would be nice to have say a group with 4 men with 416s as riflemen and 2 with SCARHs, 1 with a SAW, and one sniper with a EBR or Berret.

  • @chrisknife1 The M14 is only still on the table because the logistic chain is still in place for it. Problem with the M14 is it is a complete pain in the ass to accurize. Everything the M14 does, the SCAR-H does better and cheaper (if you factor in the cost of the M14 system plus a modern Chassis with features equivalent to the SCAR-H) The SCAR-H has a better Manual of Arms that closely resembles the M16 family..so its easier to train on.

  • @TheDoxy I respect the idea of more force and power infact I prefer .45acps over 9mm paras but what good is all the power if you cant hit crap. Out of a SCAR or 417 or even M14 you'll do alright out of an AK you'll suck but the 5.56 was desighned to hit stuff from far away. My only argument about adopting the SCAR is the money and labor that we'll need to train soldiers but in the end Im sure it'll be worth while. As for the 416 we just need to worry bout price but its worth it

  • @chrisknife1 Hold on what? You'll have to clarify for me the chambering for the M110 SASS or the M40A2 or the M24SWS. Lets see the 5.56 reach out and touch someone at 1000 yards. As for price. I do not see the 416 as being worth it for most end users. If you run a SBR with a Can then yes, the 416 is worth it. Otherwise you're better fielded with a maintained BCM with solid mags and spend the money saved on training and ammo

  • @TheDoxy look like I said what good is all the power if you cant hit crap. The 5.56 is a high precision round that can accuratly hit targets up to 1000 yards away so that arguement is bull. The 7.62 soviet witch is smaller then the NATO standered cant go past 400. The 5.56 can go through a steel helmet skull and all at 800 yards. The .50 bmg is a much better round as a sniper because its freaking huge and freaking accurate. Unless you have a scope good luck with your 7.62.

  • @chrisknife1 lol 5.56 hitting at 1000 yards? Even MK262, in a dead wind, is lucky to make 1000 yards. There IS a difference between 7.62x39 and the NATO 7.62x51 (the fact that you think the last three weapons I posted shoot the x39 speaks volumes)

  • @TheDoxy You sir are an idiot, you've used the same "the 416 is too expensive" crap even though I've clarified the Belgan piece o crap [ FeffeN SCAR] is more expensive. Are you that stiff or do you just love Belgim. We've never started war on Germany, they've never started one on us and right after WWII they were an allie supporting us with weapons. Belgim has supported numerous enimies with FeffeN FAILs so its obvious who to trust.

  • @TheDoxy Germany inveted the assult rifle so naturely they know what there doing and are the best. The SCAR has numerous flaws such as charging handle and compatability with other weapons. The SCAR is but a scar in the desighn of ARs. The 416 has no flaws as far as I'm concerned and the G36 is a gun from the future. Argue all you want but H&K is the best company for assult rifles. The 416 makes the SCAR look like its in slow motion and is twice the assult rifle it could ever hope to be.

  • @chrisknife1 Proprietary Bolt, Carrier, Springs, Extractor (700 bucks for a complete Bolt Carrier Group, are you serious?) Overbuilt barrel thats unnecessarily heavy. 416 is a proprietary upper (Although the 556A1 is not and will drop onto a standard lower receiver no problem)

BCM Mid Length COMPLETE upper receiver is 700 bucks, which will chug along all day long (Filthy 14)

  • @aluchan It's a difference of $300 for a complete upper. You get what you pay for considering the fact you can get an AR-15 for no around $800 meaning you get a 416 for $1800. A SCAR costs atleast $2000 and we already have standered AR lowers so we can arm quite a few soldiers for a cheaper cost. In this case you actiuly pay less for the better choice. Like I said it would be nice to arm infantry with 416 and DMRs with SCAR-Ls. And I did say the X39 is smaller. Sorry I called you an idiot,

  • @aluchan I was pissed at a different person on another video. Your right about the 5.56 being weaker but it could easily hit someone at 1000 yards not necissarily lethely. The trade off is alot more ammo in a smaller mag and more carried ammo. The 5.56 also fragments leaving a slightly larger chance of a leathel shot versus the dead center nature of all other rounds excluding specialty. Tell me witch is more accurate too.

  • @chrisknife1

haha i did that too i typed this: so the m 16 has a smaller round but faster speed and the ak47 uses a larger round but less speed so if u listened to ur sciene class during high school you will find out that the effects are equal cuz force=mass x acceleration so ha the only real factor that decides witch is better is durability rate of fire accuracy and weight both are good only on some of it so in a way they fill each others gap

  • @TheDoxy The 7.62 is a bit too big if you ask me. The 5.56 can easily take its place. I can see why you like the SCAR and when I wrote that comment I ment to put the SCAR too but I forgot. I still prefer the 416 because the Germans really do know what there doing and they can be trusted. The biggest contenders to NATO are definently USA, UK, France, Isreal, and Germany but most of Europe excluding Russia.

  • @chrisknife1 Problem with the 5.56 is that it doesn't reach out as reliably as the 7.62. Has nothing to do with any sort of perceived 'lethality' or BS 'knock down power' but just effective range. OEF realizes the need for the 7.62 cartridge as a force multiplier in conjunction with the current M16/M4 platform currently in service...guys need to hit bitches on the other side of the valley, and the 7.62 is round for the job

  • @chrisknife1 I wonder how much the HK extractor is...or if you CAN EVEN BUY ONE. Or is the ass kicking, face shooting bad ass down range too stupid to work on "Zee German pinnacle of weaponry und design"

  • @rammsteinlover1337 Google Pat Rogers Filthy 14 and tell me the M16 isn't reliable: Over 31000 rounds, cleaned less than 5 times, malfunctions due to bad magazines. That 31000 is broken up into 1500-2000 round classes a weekend.

Just like a good hooker, keep it wet and she'll treat you right

  • It's kinda funny tho that the scar-l has more reliability then the hk416

  • @BasePlateFilmz and the XM8 more then then the SCAR!

  • @spmcfar Sure, a weapon that has gotten NOWHERE but the drawing boards and a few prototype models built will be more reliable. Wait, what organization has fielded the XM8? (the X designates it as EXPERIMENTAL, in case you didn't know) Oh yeah, NO ONE. Who has the SCAR? US Army Rangers and a few other HSLD bad asses. Who has better customer service? protip: it ain't HK. FN Herstal may be Belgian but their guys in McLean, VA take care of their buyers? can't say the same for Das Uber Schusswaffe

  • @TheDoxy I have nothing against the SCAR was just pointing out one fact. They are all great weapons. I would expect nothing less from FN and H&K.

  • @spmcfar HK does have great weapons. Over priced and over hyped, but still good shooters none the less (except the 416) G3, G36, USP, HK45, etc etc all decent weapons. I don't like their prices and I don't like the 'screw the little guy, big gov't contracts ftw' attitude. The market is filled with VERY top notch blasters with STELLAR customer service and reasonable prices. HK has fallen in love with their own image

  • @TheDoxy I agree they are over priced but not nearly as bad as Colt which once they lose out on there goverment contract I have no doubt they will go out of business for good.

  • @spmcfar Hahahaha, hell yeah they're over priced! Especially with the likes of BCM and Daniel Defense making INCREDIBLE rifles for a fraction of the cost.

  • @TheDoxy If H&K is over priced what do you consider FN. The FN SCAR is probably twice as expensive as the H&K 416. And if H&K is so expensive why is the 416 already being used by the us army. H&K is better than FN for multiple reasons. ONE they make the best weapons in the world. FN is good but I'd rather have a 416 than a SCAR. If you think your starting to chang my mind about good ole Heckler & kock you wrong. If anything i like them more now.

  • @chrisknife1 HK MR556-A5 (Civilian 416): $2,636.99, LWRCi M6A2: $2,099.99. Two piston AR's, one 600 bucks more than the other. SCAR-L: $2,350.00 A completely new and redesigned rifle 300 bucks less than a skull fucked Piston into an AR 'update' As for US forces using the HK416? "HK416 Carbine/SBR Confiscation Program Unleashed on U.S. Army AWG"

  • the xm 8 is just a g 36 with new skin...

  • I remember seeing a documentary from the late 90s about the M-16 they were talking about a replacement but over 10 years later the M-16 is still used.

  • @hunterdwhitley1993 dont worry the Marines will teach you to take care of your rifle. Unless you stay a dumb boot or pog your entire career you will learn that cleaning the rifle and magazines properly and inserting your magazines correctly will keep the weapon ultra reliable.

  • 7:08 The M16 Will Blow Up ? That's B.S. The M16 Is Very Durable

  • @danrtopp Actually it will, the cycling system on the M16 is very unreliable.

  • @danrtopp no its not B.S. with to much back pressure from the water not draining the barrel will explode.......... they even did that test on mythbusters dipshit

  • @shrpshootr Whatever Dickweed

  • @shrpshootr I Still Don't Believe You About The M16 Blowing up In Water So One Of These Days I'm Gonna By An M16 Rifle And Test It's Durability And If Your Wrong About It's Durability Than You Don't Know Shit About The Weapon

  • @danrtopp Ok you do that you and I will be laughing like hell when i hear about some dumbshit with his face blown off cause he was being stupid with a weapon....... and because he is to fucking errogant to actually think that through and like they say the Navy ones are designed for it but try one thats not for SEALS

  • @shrpshootr Let Me Ask You Something Have You Seen Hamburger Hill ?

  • m 16 is rifle ak is machine gun.,even though its a 5 56 compared to a 762 the 55 6 has high velocity basically wen it comes in contact with human flesh the round breaks into shrapnel in the body leaving a pretty nasty exit wound : )

  • HK416. Thee rifle to have!

  • Holy shit, the 416 looks more reliable than the AK-47! ... Where can I get one?

  • be an ultimate weapon
