This album was release at #1 on the R&B charts and in the top 10 on the Pop charts. I could not wait to buy it and was drawn in with his view on the subject of plant life. As the years went by I embraced it more and more. I think it's some of the best work he ever did. His voice was golden and the sound was still analogically pure. I lovehearing the pops, scratches and imperfections throughout the whole thing.

Part 2 - I became Stevie's Travel Coordinator and was responsible for the Hotter than July concert tour. Through him I started coordinating travel for Kool and The Gang, Michael Jackson etc. I met a lot of super stars backstage and at his Wonderland studios but I can tell you that Stevie was a Super star of the Super stars. He was a cut above the rest. No ego, down to earth and compassionate. We had a lot of fun and a lot of stories to tell but we will leave that for another day !! The BEST !

I am very privileged to say that I was the FIRST one to hear this song ! This song was written in Toronto at the then Harbour Castle Hilton hotel. I had picked up Stevie from the airport and he wanted to finish the Secret Life of Plants album. We had some wine etc.etc. I went to see him the next morning and he pulled me in and said he had finished the song. He asked me to sit down and he played the music on ghetto blaster and sang it to me !!! I thought it was a CD playing !!! Thought I'd share

BHDread - You have to understand that this album was changed since the Movie flopped in Cannes. This was the last song that he finished. Once finished, it had to go through it's channels before the album was released. I have no idea when the album was released but all I can tell you was that I was there the morning the song was finished and was the first one to hear it. I even sent 2 of his people to Nigeria to interview some tribes for this album. Believe it or not, that's the truth!

CD in today's language! It was actually a ghetto blaster that Keith Harris had purchased. I can't tell you for sure what it was because the music was already in the Ghetto-blaster. He just asked me to sit down and listen and asked what I thought of it. It didn't matter to me about the music only the fact that Stevie sang to me !!!! It was amazing !!!
