1955 passenger filmed AA DC-7 takeoff! *Color* FSX

The DC-7 was my second plane ride at 5 years of age. This is very similar to what I remember. The long take-off role is accounted for by airport elevation and air temp and the load the plane is carrying. As with your other videos of old airliners - they really bring back memories; you do a great job.

1) The takeoff roll is unrealistically long.

2) The DC-7's R-3350 engines had flaming exhausts, clearly visible in daylight, at takeoff power.

3) The sound is all wrong, as anyone who has ever flown in one of these machines would know.

Need any more examples? It's patent that what we are viewing is a flight simulator.

The reason why so many simulation vids on youtube get the thumbs down is because people are looking for vids of the REAL stuff and not some damned cartoon but we get dragged here because of a misleading title just like I have now. Buddy, I have lost count of the amount of times I have gone to watch a video on youtube only to be confronted by a damned cartoon so, yeah, it is a big deal. Just make life easier for us and put FSX (or whatever) in the title, please.

Also, it's great you're learning to fly and in all truth I would rather watch you practise take offs and landings than bump into this pretend junk. Seriously, post your training vids....I'll watch them if you send them to me.

It really needs some time, which you could save by 1. Flaps Step 2 or 20°, then trim up about 7.5 to 9°,then reduce your your prop to from 2700 rpm to abourt 2550 and check your BMEP, open Cowlflaps and just activat 2 of 4 Gens
