my problem is simple but I havent been able to fix it, my naga works fine its brand spanking new, but its not detected by the driver or razer synapse 2.0, anyone else have a problem and a fix for this issue? it worked well at the start i was able to customize and shit but now it the programs dont detect the naga and its really starting to piss me off since its brand new.

@agustinegabriel , you could check the firmware, and make sure your USB are 2.0 and working up to speeds of 19.0Mbps, try using ports on the back I/O Panel rather then the front headers etc. t(eg.. try differnet USB ports. but IMO I think this mouse is hopeless.

@revistinha I got mine to actually work again. The problem was with the synapse account was logging into. I madea new account logged in using that, and it now gets detected everytime.

@agustinegabriel I dont have the naga but i had the same problem for my mouse,, For me the problem was that the driver/software was updated and i just had 2 download the new driver and soft ware :) i dont know if it works with the naga but it is worth a try :)

The funny fuck is that i got used to playing with acceleration and i had to wait one year for drivers to turn it on with naga and to be able to rebind buttons. and they call themselves company for gamers. a joke

mine feels like it is scraping across gravel. it worked for a few weeks. then in the middle of a game i thougth there was a booger on my mat. cleaned mouse and mat.

cant see anything but its still rough... something is scraping and i cant find whats causing it.

@voidremoved i had that problem too... the seam on the back of the mouse isn't equally pasted together... a minor difference of like 0,05-0,1 mm... i use a cloth surface mouse pad (steelseries) now and don't have the grinding feeling anymore :) hope this helps...

mainly i found 3 problems that all needed work. the sticker on the bottom had a corner peeled up, some strange soft clear plastic or glue sticking out from under the 'foot', and bit of flash on the seam where 2 halves of the shell connect. spend a week doing minor touch ups, works ok now. ironic, its a razer and i need a razor to make it work. maybe if they didnt spend so much focus on flashy packaging..

I also got the Razer Naga (basic edition) and the movements are working very well. My mousepad is the "Razer Goliathus - Speed Edition (small)".

The only problem i have with the Naga is the same i had with the Imperator -.- when i'm gaming very fast, i have to set the Naga to another place on my mousepad, when the mouse "hits" the pad, the cursor is jumping to the right downer corner =( thats really annoying >_<

The Naga is a strange mouse. It takes about 10min for the cursor to move on screen from start up or reboot sometimes. Ive tried all texture and color mouse pads, the cursor would skip or was laggy with all of them. Only solution I found is to take a white sheet of printer paper, place it on top of the mouse pad and use the paper as a surface. Ive been doing it for a good month now and haven't had any cursor problems yet. Hope that helps.

@Cultuz I had the same setup as you, Naga and exact math, the problem is in exact math, i think that the laser can't pick up the location if ur using the control side, the speed side is smoewhat better. i recommend that u get a new mat.

@klippert0808 , Firmware is software inside the mouse, kinda like BIOS, Razer should have the software you download and install on your computer, that will update mouse's firmware, that is if the mouse has a new firmware version.

I thought about getting the Megasoma, but I've heard that even though it's white- the Naga has problems on it. How is it that Razer barely even acknowledges this issue with these mice? @bountyhunter552 , Assuming you are using Win 7, or even if other OS, I would do a Firmware Update, usually solves the issue, sometimes not. I have read also that USB1.1 will have problems, and should be on a USB2.0, visit the razer website for drivers and firmware info., post update here if you would please. Also the one big issue, try using a light colored mouse pad, but does not sound like the issue you are having.

I confirm that the naga does not work well on black surfaces. Sadly I returned it to BB for a refund because of the horrible tracking. Razer needs to state on the box you need a white mouse pad. All the bell and whistles on the mouse mean nothing if it doesn't work. Also I updated drivers and firmware before taking it back. I'm going back to logitech buying a G700.

Hey, maybe someone can help me with this problem. I've had mine for about, I dont know, 8 months or so. I've always had a problem where sometimes, upon starting up the computer, the mouse cursor wont move. The computer detects me clicking but sometimes it just completely fails to see that i'm moving the mouse. I have had to keep restarting my computer untill it works, very annoying.

Today it stopped working completely. I dont know why, but nothing I dont will make it work. Help?

On rare occassion it moves just verticly, but only ever for a short while before being completely useless again. Such a shame, I really liked this mouse! (Not to mention they are expensive)

In my case a lighter color, NON Razer mouse pad would allow the Naga to track properly, The replacement I recieved worked much better on the Razer Exactmat, However I got BSOD errors on 2 different computers using the latest Driver, and Firmwareon Win 7 64-bit. the 2 systems were a 780i. and an X58, However the Naga is supposed work with a black mouse pad.

I installed it on the X58 SLI PC, and got blue screens right from the start, Because this mouse looks and seems so amazing I tried it out on my 780i SLI PC, and got blue screens right away, I tried it out for a couple of days, the mouse had numerous bugs and glitches while gaming. I would be playing L4D2 and the mouse would point me strait up in the air for no reason, leaving me and lost getting me kicked.

My Naga has quite a similar problem, working only on the white laminate surface of my desk. I tried a (black) Razer Goliathus, a (white) Razer Megasoma and some other brand's (black) mousepad and the Y-axis didn't work on any of them. Ironically enough, the performance was worst on the (white) Megasoma, where I didn't get any movement along the Y-axis at all and movement along the X-axis only after using the mouse on another surface before, then moving it ontop of the pad.

LOL Ned, I got my RMA Authorization number today, and it is boxed up, and ready for shipping. I guess I'll be paying for shipping. I won't complain, Maybe they will compensate me for it. Probably gonna cost like 10 bucks or more to ship it. Most places supply a shipping label that you print online, or they ship you a box & label at no charge.

well i spoke too soon, tracking is far from perfect on the storm tactics mat and i've ended up using a piece of hardboard out of an old photo frame as this works best.

i may just sort this out with amazon saying i want a replacement that works on razer exact mat and see what happens.

good luck with your return, hopefully razer have fixed this at production level?

i just got the same mouse and it's worked fine until today when my new razer exactmat arrived. guess what, pointer wont move at all when on the mat but its fine on just about any other surface. thx for posting question on forum and this video, it's saved me hours of messing about trying to fix the thing when the fault is not here but with razor. just how stupid are they making a mouse that doesnt work with their own pad? opening a ticket, thx heart.

@nettledned, My advice to you is, Start the support ticket ASAP, it will take several emails, questions before they aprove the RMA process, I still need to send for my RMA number. You can refer to this video in you support ticket to speed up the RMA process. as this video was created Per the Razer Tech Support.

got lucky this week though, i've been building my sons i7 and with the case there came a free storm tactics mouse mat. it's black and the mouse works perfect on here!

razer naga's the best broken mouse i've ever had, when i do get an rma i'm not gonna want to part with it!

Ok, Razer has approved the RMA of this mouse, pending the Order Number. they would like to take a look at it. More then likely will be sending a new one. We'll see what they find out about it, Thank you Razer for the Customer Service. Sorry to have posted this on Youtube, But hey! you know me.

Ah man I was thining about the naga but my exactmat is kind of glued to my desk with double-sided tape that was supposed to be removeable but feels Hulk-proof.

Same problem here. Tried an Exactmat, Roccat Sota mat and a regular black mat. Any black surface at all and the mouse refuses to track on it. Works fine on my oak coloured desk surface though.

Just wanted to elaborate that, I haven't tried it on other black surfaces but I have that same eXactMat and my Naga just won't track properly on it. I have a DiamondBack that tracks just fine on the eXactMat.

Actually, I was just prepping mine to send it back to the retailer and I thought I'd have a close look at it before putting it back in the box. On inspection, the lens on my Naga seemed to have some sort of thin white band across the surface. I stuck a q-tip in it and rotated it a few times (without pressing it in too hard, just use the cotton) and it seemed to come off. Hey presto, the mouse now tracks fine on black surfaces.

Update: Ok, I said it tracks "fine" but after a couple of days using it on an ExactMat it still isn't as responsive as using it on my plain old oak desktop. Just updated to firmware 1.07 and driver version 2.00. Hasn't helped at all.
