  • Lily's sister is sooo hot :D

  • I know it might sound wrong, but this episode would have been so more shocking if they actually did get murdered. Im speaking only as a drama fan here.

  • 7:18 the p'ed off look that Scotty gives that redhead... since he knew that something like this was gonna happen.

I was so glad the wife and little girl survived. Man, that dude's a psycho trying to blow up his own niece.

  • dang he was just doing his job

  • i dont get how they survived. they should have died. wouldve made the ending better

  • @KZMSubZERO Yeah they should be dead, but maybe the bomb wasn't in the same room than 'em, and I was hoping blood for the ending, you're probably right, it should be worse...

  • this is one of my all-time favorites. i thought the choice of "last christmas" was so perfect, i mean who hasn't been on line getting shafted in a department store just like this one, with a song as plasticine and sentimental as that one? i also love that this is one of those kind of "last straw" flashbacks, and that kid doesn't even realize he's sealed his fate in his willingness to accept our disposable, useless cash culture.

  • My favorite Episode, and IMO the saddest and most powerful, especially the ending here, what a D-bag to do All this horrible stuff, I tear up still when I watch the ending of this episode. They chose a great song.

  • Just me being super observant... I noticed that in 5:45 Lilly slowly brings the phone away from her ear then at 6:05 she does the same.

  • This scene always gets to me. I really didn't care for this song until I saw this episode. Now I like it. I like how the cops were able to save everyone in the end.

  • I can understand why the man did what he did. My grandfather hased the same basic hardships because of the changing times. But it still doesn't excuse him for what he's done, the boy was only doing with what he's dealt with as well. The man forgot that their were other people trying to take care of themselves and families. He just gave up and decided to blame others, even his brother's family.

  • first time i ever heard this song... thanks cold case ^_^

  • "But nothing last forever..."

Wow i suppose that is a way to turn your brothers words on you. This is the most memorable episode of Cold Case I have ever seen. It is as haunting as it is perplexing. I mean how could he do that? Yet if I am so repulsed why then do I feel sorry for him. I suppose the answer is this; "I feel sorry for a man as broken as his shower radio". I worry will it take more to break me? or will it take less? What is our breaking point?

  • Definetely one of the most amazing/powerful ending's ever. Almost made me cry,

  • omgsh, no matter how many times i watch this, i always cry. i thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest cause i thought they had died

  • Fck! I was watching the episode and suddenly, when the bomb sounds by the phone, my cable failed...but thank God there is youtube ;)

  • very brutal to do that to his brother's family, the scene where he gets arrested we see the ghosts of the store clerk and doctor, but who is the man in the cap and the woman, were they his victims as well?

  • @mrchileoso

I think the man in the cap is his father and the woman is supposed to be a grown-up version of his daughter.

  • the guy was probably the mistaken person he blew up in the locker room i am not sure who the lady would be.

  • I just saw this episode yesterday, the ending made me cry my eyes out, I was mad that no one hugged the two detectives that just saved their lives!

  • episode is my second fav right next to it takes a village

  • Poor guy lost absolutely everything he ever loved, doesn't excuse what he did but if someone had just taken the time to help him out, maybe things wouldn't have turned out that way

  • I normally dont cry...often its rare but this one made me cry---who could even blow own his niece and sister in law up?! was glad that they survied.

  • Why did you cut off the last 2 seconds? :(

  • soy de Mexico y me gustaria saber como se llama la cancion que se escucha al final se ve que esta padre se los agradeceria mucho.

  • Song - One Republic, 'Apologize'.

  • I'm so glad the family is ok :)

  • Damn I love Tim Omundson. His performance in this episode is just pure win. <3

  • @TheSleepingSage I'm guessing he was the bomber? If so, definitely.

  • @Chimerism101 Naw, he's the guy with the family. The one who plays Detective Lassiter in Psych. I just love the guy. :3

  • Oh. I don't watch Psych, so I wouldn't know.

  • watched this series episode for first time last night I was really impressed going to start watching them now .. Ive always watched supernatural cus thats class too x]

  • i rememberd when i first watch this and the house blow up i was so mad an ticked off but when i saw they where ok i felt better......

  • I just watched this ep and I was wondering what the song was in the opening with grocer that died.

  • Last Christmas by Wham!

  • ok so the dudes brother wanted to kill his brothers daughter and wife just cuz he lost his daughter and his wife left him...deranged much

  • Guy is truly evil to try to blow up his own niece

  • real evil.he mustn't be pleased that the bomb did not work.dodgerfan1998.

  • funny thing is the two guys who plays the brothers were both in disney channel orginal movies and bothe played villans

the guy with the bpbms is in screaam team and the other brother is in luck of the irish

  • the one who made the bombs also played a villain in 24

  • i heard the shows over, is that true?

  • No, season 7 starts in September.

  • Yeah...this was one fucking intense episode.

  • It's been speculated a few times within this video.

Either they threw themselves into another room of the house, or they threw the box into another room of the house, and then they covered theirselves.

  • how can they survive that explosion? it makes no sense.

  • I love this episode

  • great.. !! i was so scared.. when i saw that the first time.

  • me too!! i was on the edge of my couch. i was yelling at the tv..lol!

  • me to

  • hrm i dont thing sweden has aired this episode yet :(

  • I love this show!!! great episodes

  • cold case ftw

    i love it

  • i'm glad they lived but how? and it kinda eliminates the intensity of the episode by them not dying

  • They lived?????Then why the hell did i watch this!!!! it told me this was intense and heart stopping but i looked pretty predictable to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!!

  • Hey there's Dective Lassider from Psych!! he's a cop on this too!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha yeah! I love that guy!

Sorry, though but it's spelled Lassiter. =D

  • @bestwatch No he's the bomber's brother.

For those who don't know, this episode is loosely inspired by Ted Kazinski (the Unabomber) and his law-abiding younger brother who turned him in.

  • one of the greatest endings in my opinion.

  • hey blows the guy up over a fucken 30 doller radio!?!?

  • I'm glad they lived. I get all my reality and heartbreak from real life, watching and reading the news.

  • This is one of the better endings. I really like the song. However, they should not have gone for the happy ending, it is completely unbelievable. There is no way they can get away unscathed in the bomb blast. Everything before the blast was great. Everything after is "disposable."

  • If there had been enough time for them to get to another room it would be possible, so the ending is not so made up after all.

  • yeah, I think they should have died

  • then you're sick

  • did ryan kelley die in this episode?

  • Yep. He plays the victim at the beginning.

  • where the beginning of this?

  • go to seriefan1980 page

  • cold case

  • what series is this is because i dont have sky i have seen the beggining of 3 so can someone tell me please wt series

  • As you can see in the flashback. The stockboy whose death was in the prologue of this episode was targeted because he ticked the killer off. It was not just him but what he represented. That bomb was probably meant for his boss whom he later maimed.

  • I've seen this video a time ago on youtube and yesterday I saw the beginnig on TV and then I new the ending :D

Apologize sounds fantastic. Is it without Timberland?

  • Yes, this is the original version of 'Apologize', the one you find on 'Dreaming Out Loud'.

  • soo they got them safely out of the house, then they went back in, waited till the dad came back from the train station, then waited till the dad thought they died, and then finally they came out again?

haha i know, its just makes for more drama. im a fan of cold case montages. bit corny, but so enjoyable.

  • I prefer to believe that they just threw the music box as far as possible and took the family to the back as they didn't know if there was enough time to get everyone out of the house..

What I do know is that this episode ALMOST got me crying... LOL

  • Lol no i'm guessing Nick and Kat got into the house in time and either got them out the room or threw the music box into another room and ducked. I don't know why it took so long for them to come back out but I'm guessing they may have been trapped inside and the firemen had to get them out. It is highly possible for them to survive if Nick and Kat were quick enough

  • what season is this episode from?

  • hola quisiera saber el nombre del tema musical y su interprete gracias

  • Song - One Republic, 'Apologize'.

  • great episode great song final

  • OMG i really love the last scene when the guy run to hug his daughter and wife is so cute hehe may be a little silly but i love it!!

  • i love this episodie, so cool....this song was perfect for this case.......

  • What is this track please and sung by whom?

    Thanks

  • Great work!!

Hey budy, do you can get here episode 'the ride'???? It'll be so so so great!!! I'm from Czech and I can't see this episodes in TV.

    Thanks!!!!

  • LOL at 2:29 they're playing Last Christmas.xD

  • A BEAUTIFULLY DONE EPISODE.

  • when i first seen this my heart skipped a beat n i sobbed, only to be shocked to see they survived...also the song made it even more intense

  • this episode was made so much ore weaker when the guys wife and child survived it would have been more dramatic and more realistic if they died

  • I love the moment where Scotty sees his girlfriends but doesn't go to her ..

Can you explain why ? I didn't see the xhole episode

And sorry for my English, but I'm french

  • the reason Scotty doesnt go to his girlfriend is because she jeopardized the safety of the family at the end of the scene. She said that she did it to catch the bomber, but Scotty blamed her and told her that if that family dies, it is all her fault...
