  • I'm lucky I have my own bass pedal cause of my dad and his old acoustic drum kit he has.

  • I have the same kit and i play all kinds of music from punk to jazz and I have no problems with the bass picking up the sound when I play fast! The kits not bad for a beginner but if you want something more professional I would recommend a Roland.

  • can you put a double bass pedal on this?

  • where's the hi-hat?

  • Wow. the one kit that i find cheap and it looks awesome. i would get it but with no double bass pedal i dont stay entertained. on to the next set...

  • i wanna get this for my birthday is my parents can afford it this year

  • Watch my review for the Simmons SD5K. I just posted it. Please watch it.

  • Watch my review for the Simmons SD5K. I just posted it. Please watch it.

  • Can you add on to it? I want to add another cymbal to mine can it happen

  • @STF1717 if you want to add more, i think you would have to get a whole new brain (control panel) because there just arent enough inputs in the stock brain. you can look into it more but keep in mind that brains are very expensive so i think dishing out that cash on a cheaper roland kit because those are better quality and i think that quality would be more perfered over quantity especially because of roland kits having better sounds and a more realistic bounce than this simmons kit, and i know

  • @STF1717 that because i personally own this kit and feel like the bounce and feel is very dead. anyways i hope this helped and good luck with upgrading your kit

  • just shut the fuck up and play!

  • reply quick i wnna get this with my xmas money but i have double pedals cant i just buy a bigger bass pad?

  • @okTH3nMaN sorry I havent been home to check my channel. and yes you are able to do this.

  • i got that set today, for Christmas. 2011, i love it

  • thanks for this review I was surprised there'd be one on this model

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO...I sneaked in the attic to look at presents and found this drum kit with my name on it...thanks to you now i know its a decent kit...i'll have fun on christmas...:)

  • @FatKidzCrying i might get it for christmass too :333

  • @ViaNewson Thats whats up dude! ahaha

  • @FatKidzCrying Glad it was helpful!! Enjoy, its a verrry fun kit:)

  • @FatKidzCrying im getting the sd7pk

  • @FatKidzCrying I AM GETTING IT FOR CHRISTMAS TOO!!!!

  • thanks for this review!

  • I got mine a few days ago! I can't play it until christmas though.

  • well this sucks i love using double bass on my acoustic, but i'm moved to university and can't bring my kit with me but i just found out that my mom bought me a electric set for university but i'm not suppose to know till then i think its nice she did that but i need double bass, now what to do

  • Good vid but the bass is lagging and has low volume cuz that amp isn't for drums. I talked to a guitar center worker and he told me about this.... For a amp that will work properly with this set ur gonna have to spend $200 on a amp.

  • You can get this set for $299 without paying tax or shipping delivered to your house brand new. I think it's guitarcenter. com. You just have to buy a kick pedal, sticks, and have headphones or an amp!

  • @wordup1 Hmm the price must have depreciated somewhat. Did you purchase the set?

  • @socrdude123 yes I got it on sale for $299 at guitar center...they may still have an online deal for the same...I also had to purchase a kick pedal for about $35...and if you don't have an amp, you can use headphones

  • i just got my simmons sd5k at guitar Center yesterday i love it nice review

  • @partyrocker404 I did the same in NJ

  • @wordup1 i love my drum set i'll play it at like one o clock in the morning i love it

  • @partyrocker404 Lol absolutely! Thats what I do all the time. Its the best!

  • @partyrocker404 Thank you! Be sure to subscribe and thumbs up if you have not already! :)

  • are you able to adjust the height of all the cyms?

  • @snareplaya15 Yes! every component and drum pad is adjustable to desired location and height.

  • Not the best sounding e-drums.

  • Dude, thanks for the review...Do the cymbals swing when you hit them? it seems like they don't, but I don't know if you just tied it that way.

  • keep practicing. quietly.

  • @gi0vanni888 Lol thanks, and thanks for watching!Subscribe if you havent!

  • Thanks for that review I think I'll buy a use one.

  • Thanks so much for the review!!!!! It helped so much!

  • Can you use any Drum modual with this? or do you HAVE to use the SD5K modual?

example, i wanna get an extra cymbal, since the SD5K modual only has room for 2 cymbals and a hi-hat cud i get a modual that could fit more?

    -Bryce

  • @Remember2mro Hey there, Im not exactly sure of the compatibility of other modules. Might be a question to google! Sorry I couldnt help you more.

    Connor

  • The problem with the bass drum is your amp. If you use a guitar amp the bass always sounds funny

  • I really like this kit, but I was wondering if it is possible to plug in another crash. Is that possible? Thanks!

  • @jamcliff999 hey there,

unfortunately with this model, all the MIDI inputs are filled once all 3 ( two crashes and hi-hats) are installed. Sorry!

  • can you plug headphones in it

  • @LuckiRat Yes, you are able to input headphones with a midi converter

  • i have been playing on my set and the wires inside the pad keep coming undone. its the second one first the snare then the bass. splicing some wires ayee.

  • Sounds like u got a good deal but the sound x is cheaper and has no bass problems

  • can you change the tom triggers into symbol triggers? like can you make your floor tom trigger and turn it into china?

  • @MrReaper117 yes, that is possible. all triggers can be changed to all sounds on the kit!

  • you can do double bass on this youtube(dot)com/watch?v=lJl2F00cQUU

  • does the control moduel come with the 808 effect?

  • @BethLorraine96 Thanks :)

  • can yu replace the current bass pad to have a double bass pad?

  • Yes you can,. The SD7K pad works, which you can likely get online.

  • @BethLorraine96 Faggot? I have fucked more girls in one minute than what you have donned in your whole life.

  • @zerocker45 it only takes you one minute to fuck a girl?

  • @BethLorraine96 Yeah leave you coward girl... You maricon i will fuck your ass mother fucka.. You no crazy enough to mess wit me men oyste maricon de pinga ... Yo soy alergico a las plumas maricon...

  • @BethLorraine96 I could tell you were using Google Translate cause that s not the way of speaking... well, in fact you are speaking like a nerd girl would talk... I do know about drums more than you do... You are tha son of a Bitch here you 14 year old baby..

  • @BethLorraine96 Shut da fuck up girl don't mess with cubans you bastard if you don't want your culo partio maricon yo bitch..

  • @BethLorraine96 Me piece of shit? You shut up you gay ass home boy who acts like he s from tha hood but hes just a gay ass nigga...

  • hopefully this helps you out. it is definetly the pad.i have a simmons also and mine has the same thing and sometimes it dosent pick up the sound. the pad is big but if the zone is small and it has to be really close together.i mean the acctually heads hitting the bass pad have to be close. i would recomend getting dif pad because it is better and has better bounce and isnt so noisey but thats all

  • i really dont know anything about electronics drums... so.... it need an amp or something? and... can i put 2 bass pedals on it?

  • Dude the vid is good but you suck balls at playing!!!!!

  • How much did it cost in music123?

  • Good review. Do you think it's possible to replace the bass pad with a Roland or something double bass capable?

  • only 4 stars for low lighting :P

  • does it come with a hi hat pedal?

  • does it come with a kick pedal?

  • Your a fagget homo duesch bag go sucka fat choad

  • i have this kit and i was wondering how to get the new bass for double kick

  • i have this kit. and the thing about the double hits on the bass: i think its just your bass pedal. because i have a pdp bass pedal and i can do doubles all day.

  • yea it was my bass pad, simmons replaced it and the new one works fine. thanks, please subscribe and rate if you havent yet!

  • SHUT UP FAGET. hey everybody you can't double kick the set is garbage.

  • i see you can not do double hits with the bass drum trigger. is it the trigger or the module which has the problem? did you do anything to solve that problem? coz i am playing double hits and it kinda suck when i cant do that in this kit. thnx

  • @scanme214 i believe it is the trigger

  • does the SD7K have a USB port?

  • @megaluisdeth I think it just has a MIDI output like the sd5k, but that is compatible with a lot of usb's and computers and recording stuff. hope this helped, subscribe if you havent already!

  • @megaluisdeth The SD7PK has both midi in/out and a usb port. I think the SD7PK is the same as the SD7K, just different pads.

  • Not sure if it was asked before, but can you hook this kit up on the computer? 'Cause it doesn't have a USB port or anything. Thanks.

  • @grim0212 To be honest im not sure if you can hook it into your PC or laptop.. there is no usb port like you said but there could be some weird conversion cable or something. let me know what you find out, and subscribe if you havent already!

  • well you could just buy a upgraded receiver maybe one that is also bigger, which solves your lag and double bass problems. that's what i did, yep =)

  • There is a headphone jack for the unit right?

  • @HumbleTelescopes yes there is one, but it requires a converter such as the one that allows you to plug headphones into an amp or something to that effect

  • you can adjust the sensitivity for the bass drum. lol actually for all the drum parts

  • blablabla just play the fucker.

  • @LittleEmoBoy001 Wow idk maybe if u read, its a review not a demo. Thanks for viewing.

  • @socrdude123

    You're welcome.

  • does the hi hat pedal move when you press down on the pedal

  • @king8of5drums sometimes, it has little screw type things on the bottom that can be put into the floor or carpet if you have your kit in a semi temporary setup.

  • I mean everyone says there so cheap but ive been playing it for a year and everything still works you have to remember its an electric set you cant pound on it

  • @H1GhVoL7aGe yeah for sure dude. thanks for watching, subscribe!

  • u DID A GOOD REVIEW. SORRY little man. I just came back from afgan. Get you a nice TAMA set and set them up at grannys. I know You. Later/

  • att super fucking nerds hold up............simm 5 dick shit crap set. i farted. or was that the snare? o my god lol. play that poop set, soooo one thing i don't like is i get shit on my socks when I play without my shoes. i would deff not invest in a rubber set. fuck the fam and the neib. GET A REAL DRUM SET. TAMA

  • @socrdude123 It seems as if the hi-hat is kind of raised too much...Any problems with that? Is it adjustable? I'm thinking about purchasing this for the holidays.

  • @leftwing67 no its actually a comforable height for me. its adjustable though!

  • 0:41 sounds like a Wii in the background? Haha.

But, how good is the hi-hat and pedal for it?

  • 299 at guitar center on black Friday. DB really disappoints me so prob gonna go with 7k

  • @imcooljt yea good choice.

  • should i get the sd7k or 5k??

  • @dustin102432 definitely a 7k. with holidays coming up you will find some good deals on some 7ks. let me know what u decide to buy!

  • @socrdude123 do u think they will be lower priced on black Friday??

  • @dustin102432 i think its very likely, if u go to music and arts or your local music store its likely they have them in stock, so u could see there. if not, online often has good BF deals

  • @socrdude123 thanks for the info, man!!! im going to get the sd7k.

  • @dustin102432 good choice let me know how u like it. and if u havent subscribed yet do so plz! :)

  • @socrdude123 lol i just did...hope to see some covers

  • @socrdude123 SLANGING poop sets too all these nerds. thats epic kid rock. Im sorry its so funny.

  • @socrdude123 don't buy they break fast.

  • como hablas y nada que tocas!!!

  • does the sd7k bass pad work for the 5k???

  • @chadlee125 Probably.

  • @chadlee125 yes the 7k pad works with the 5k. when my 5k pad broke (i talk about it in comments i believe, dont quote me) Simmons sent me a replacement and it was actually the 7k pedal! which is bigger and supports a DB pedal:) hope this helps.

  • @socrdude123 yes thank u!!!

  • @socrdude123 and is it more sensitive?

  • how many inputs are in the module? like how much more can you add?

  • I ordered the same kit and got Gold Coverage.Ive sent my kit back one time. There was a malfunction on the kits I ordered last Winter.Simmons wont return my calls or emails. The kick drum pad wont work. What do you suggest?Ive emailed them, called every company i know, left voicemails, and they still wont send me my drum or reply.Your review said don't get frustrated,THEY WILL REPLACE IT.I need them to.Ive wasted time and money.WHat do you suggest?

  • @purityistheway u can go on ebay and and buy a kick drum. i just bought a simmons snare pad for this kit and they are VERY cheap. they price for 40 to 80 dollars at the least.

  • i have had this kit for about 5 months, when i got it used,i paid 220 for it,the sounds are ok,the cymbals are weak, the ride is bad, hard to hear and the bass problem you described is right, i found a lot of the sounds cool, the ability to have custom kits is great, over all i think its about a 5 out of 10 for me,i have played for a long time,25 years, these are ok for a practice or maybe scratch track recording, but i would never consider using them as a performance kit, thanks for the review

  • I'm so happy you had this posted. Your description of the lagging bass drum discouraged me so I'll keep looking. I'm also hoping for some sort of brain that can possibly sequence. Anyway, much appreciated!

  • wow, i rather keep my acoustic set..hahaha

  • Nice review. Thanks

  • hey can you connect the drum kit through the usb por to use as a midmi drumset

  • Mime broke and I got the ROland TD 4SX intstead, It's $1399.00, but it is s worth it, all mesh heads

  • it does not have an MP3 jack on the actual module, but if you have an amp with a jack, that will work.

  • hey ty and does it have a mp3 jack

ps u can pop ur fender amp
